The place itself is a very good option to stay near one of the best beaches in El Salvador: Basic, but nice and clean rooms with comfortable beds, a good restaurant and bar, perfect location on the beach, pool area etc... However, the attitude and service level of the staff needs improvement: - On our arrival, we were given almost...

Was considering staying here so we went to check it out and have lunch. Two hours later and with a lot of checking in with our waitress we finally got our food, along with our warm beers. Can't say the food was spectacular and worth the two hour wait. Side note, this place is open to the public and was...

This place is huge! It's got lots of restaurant seating and a very large beautiful beach out front. On a weekday it's a nice spot but come the weekend or holidays it's a zoo. People come from town and pay to use the facilities for the day. This means giant families camp out at all the tables, bars and lounge...

Our first reluctance at having to come here as part of our trip was reading all the childish responses from the manager arguing other people's frank reviews of the place. It seems this venue is included in various tours through Central America as a stop over on the approach to the border crossing to Nicaragua. Firstly the rooms - not...

Read this amaaaazing story in the lonely planet but I found the place way too overrated. Food isn't that good + expensive and there's no other restaurants or anything around. Beach is nice though but Las Flores beach is more beautiful and also be. Wouldn't really recommend.

Staff are disinterested and there's too many of them to manage orders properly or just to have general good customer service. Poor service from arrival to leaving. Locations is great and is a useful stop off to get to Nicaragua or Honduras. There are shuttles from Tortuga Verde across the borders.

We came for an overnight stay and ended up staying 3 nights. Arrived on the weekend and the place was packed with locals. V pleasant vibe. Quietened down considerably after Sunday Pm. Lovely time spent surfing, having massages, fishing etc. Easy to spend days and days here enjoying the relaxed vibes. Enjoy. Tx

My Boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in a Mini Room with a shared bathroom. Upon arrival we were shown straight to our room. We would have enjoyed a tour/orientation of the resort when we first arrived. Letting us know about things to do and where different amenities are. Maybe that is a service that can be added....

I believe that La Tortuga Verde is the greatest place my wife and I have ever been. That being said, I think the best way to appreciate LTV is to kick your shoes off and stay a while. It takes more than 2 or 3 days to really appreciate the rhythm of the resort. Get up early to watch the...

Our Rough Guide to Central America mentioned this place VERY briefly, but it piqued our interest so we went online and watched the owner's video. We decided to book two days here since the price was right. For $25.00 a night, Tortuga Verde is a steal! Our room was clean, spacious and the porch with the hammocks ideal. We are...
