Rose Valley House is located in the village of Çavuşin, Cappadocia. The hotel was originally an old greek house in the typical Cappadocian arched stone-design, which had been carefully and lovingly restored to maintain its unique structure. The restoration work was recently completed in mid 2012. Rose Valley House offers 9 comfortable “arch” rooms with en-suite bathroom. All our rooms are tastefully furnished and equipped with modern amenities. The hotel is approx. 300 meters from the site of the old Cavusin Village. Other nearby attractions are the Rose Valley, Red Valley and Pasabagi Valley which are famous for trekking (10 - 15 mins' walking distance from hotel). We offer free pick-up service from any bus station in Cappadocia.

I stayed here on a tour through central Turkey, was greeted by the family that owned the place, showed around, and offered tea (this was well after midnight). The room was huge, very warm for as cold as it was outside, and was really a fun place to stay. The family was wonderful, the breakfast was plentiful, and I would love to stay here again!

Located in Cavusin near the castle. It is quiet. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed very comfortable and nice linens. The bathroom was large with a window. The tiles in the shower beautiful. The staff very polite. The breakfast was Turkish style with an omelet. It was very good and served on top where there is a great view of the rose valley. The wifi worked well.

We were recommended this place by our travel agent in Istanbul, it is located in Cavusin which is about 4km from the main "touristy" town Gureme usually where the buses from Istanbul drop you off. it was nice that it was in a quieter part of town and the view from the terrace was beautiful, you could see rose valley! Rooms were very spacious and clean and affordable. Staff were really friendly even the ones who didn't speak English. Adnan was very helpful and even offered us his home made wine after dinner one night! Sat with us and talked about turkey which was cool because we didn't knowing about turkey. He also drove us to watch the sunset which was absolutely amazing. Lufti the other guy working there was also very helpful and gave us a lift to ad from goreme on his motor bike which was awesome! he also stopped at a beautiful rosé valley view to make sure we took photos. The place is probably hard to did but if u organise transfers you should be alright. we loved Cappadocia so much we ended up staying an extra night. Breakfast is included and you feel like your having a private breakfast as they bring out food to you on the table, there were only two of us and we always felt like we were having a feast! We also had dinner here as it was cheap and good value! I would definitely recommend this place and would come back here :)

Highly recommend! The bathrooms and rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable! They made our stay so easy, providing us with whatever we needed. The complimentary breakfast had an array of foods to ourselves aswell as tea and coffee whenever you needed. We also tried the dinner which was very reasonably priced and tasty.
It was quiet and wonderful and will definately stay there next time I am in town. Thanks so much!

This hotel was recommended by a travel agent in Istanbul and I am so happy that we stayed here. The owner and his team were amazing - friendly, knowledgeable and eager to make us comfortable. The quality of service was beyond excellent. Our room was spacious, very clean and the bathroom was enormous, with a Jacuzzi to boot! There's no need to set an alarm if you want to watch the hot air balloons at sunrise from the hotel rooftop terrace. The balloons practically land on the building.
Also loved Cavusin. It's quiet and far less touristy than Goreme, which is a very easy bus ride away. The local businesses in Cavusin are worth a visit as well. The proprietor at World of Kebab will play music for you and you can try the amazing local wine at a few other places.
I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Cappadocia.

POSITIVE
- Located in Cavusin, which is only 3 km away from Goreme (the main touristic town around this area) but very quiet and relaxed (looks and feels like a real village, unlike Goreme which is a bit of a touristic circus); there are quite a few walks with interesting rock formations around Cavusin (and that can keep you busy and happy for a day).
- The hotel is new (opened very recently). Since there was no one else at the time at the hotel (low season) we were upgraded (for free) to the main suite (deluxe room) which was quite big (the bathroom was actually bigger than the room itself with a jaccuzi tub in it). The room was clean and cozy. The other rooms appeared to be nice and comfortable as well.
- The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. They will help with what you need (even planning your days) without being pushy about anything at all. They can drive you to (and pick you up from) Goreme whenever you need (since there are not many restaurants or shops in Cavusin).
- Breakfast, although a bit repetitive is very good and fresh. The view from the breakfast terrace was great.
- They can arrange balloon travel or bike / motorbike rentals; as well as tours and excursions. They come out cheaper than going directly to the actual companies (but maybe this is the case if you arrange this stuff from any hotel in the area; cannot confirm).

NEGATIVE
- Internet was ok throughout the hotel but not on the deluxe room (the signal was low and the connection was not stable).
- It’s located in front of a mosque; which means that you’ll be awaken up by the 5:30 AM prayer everyday. But I guess you get used to it quickly and sleep it off.

In conclusion, it’s a great place to stay in the Cappadocia region, close enough to Goreme which you can use as a base for your excursions into the region; but far enough to be in a quiet and relaxed place. The manager and staff are kind and helpful which will make your stay in the region easier and above all more pleasant.

TIPS: Arrange with the hotel to pick you up from the airport – it will be cheaper (and more comfortable) than taking a taxi or arranging your travel at the airport.

As work brings me back again to Istanbul, I decided to nip down for a few days to Cappadocia for a short break before flying home. As I have been to and stayed in Goreme before, I decided to try somewhere a little less 'touristy' this time and my search landed me at Rose Valley House. I was apprehensive at first because there wasn't any review of the hotel anywhere (I found out later that Rose Valley was only opened to public the week before I arrived! no wonder!).
The hotel, being new, is very clean and everything works the way it should. The bed and pillows were comfortable, clean and fresh, and the toilet is great! These are my 2 top criteria for rooms when I stay at hotels: bedding - must be clean (+ not smelly) and comfortable & the toilet - must be spotless and not iffy looking. Oh and FREE wifi internet is always a BIG THUMBS-UP!
Breakfast was a satisfying local turkish fare with bread, an assortment of olives, tomatoes & cucumber and yummy turkish omelet cooked with slices of local sausage that looked like chorizo (but which they assured me was halal- not that I doubted. This was Turkey after all). Breakfast was served up on the rooftop terrace of the hotel, with a pretty cool view of the Cavusin Valley.
The hotel is near the old Cavusin Village, so on my first day after checking-in, I just stayed in Cavusin village, exploring my surroundings armed with a bottle of water and some biscuits I bought at the local store opposite the hotel, and my trusted DSLR. Cappadocia is an AMAZING place for photography - on the ground and from way up high on a hot air balloon. The last time I was on a hot air balloon in Cappadocia a couple of years back (which was incidentally my first time ever on a hot air balloon), I only had with me a small camera, which didn't do justice to the amazing sights, and even then, battery was flat half way because I forgot to charge it the night before!). So this time I came prepared with a fully charged DSLR and with an 8GB card! :)
I booked the hot air balloon (and a couple of other tours) with the manager and went on the balloon flight on my second day there. Since I have to get up early for the balloon flight, I booked a wake-up call with the Reception and they promptly called first at 4.30am (as I had requested, altough I realised albeit belatedly that 4.30 was way too early), then knocked on my door 30 minutes later when I haven't yet emerged from my room. How's that for service? Excellent!
To summarise: The plus points of the hotel - its new, its very clean, comfy beds, nice bathroom, the hotel staff are helpful, friendly and very informative, there's free wifi, breakfast was satisfying, dinner was good too, lovely view from the rooftop terrace, its situated in a nice, quiet, laid back village which is not overrun with tourists, there's a local store opposite the hotel where you can buy drinks, snacks, etc. The negative - well, not so much as a negative but while I appreciate that this may be the traditional way here and the bare walls give it a rustic look suitable for rustic Cappadocia, but perhaps a coat of white paint on the walls of the property and inside the rooms would make this beautiful hotel even more beautiful and refined befitting its amazing surrounding and beautiful name. Just an opinion...
And would I come back again and/or recommend to a friend? Absolutely!

We arrived at Rose Valley House at the End of July 2013 during the political events in Turkey and had a marvellous stay. During a few days we were the only guests and Adnan, the owner, offered us to visit the hotel and to choose our room for the same booking price. So we could also appreciate the quality work of the renovation he did on that old stone house.
Each room is spacious and nicely decorated. The arches give them an unusual charm. The bathrooms are luxurious and the beds very comfortable.
But what touched us most was the warm and friendly welcome of Adnan and his team. Adnan helped us plan our tours and gave us lots of good advices. We enjoyed tasting the delicious home cooked food on the terrace with panoramic view. We had the impression of being invited in a Turkish family every day. Our 8 years old daughter felt really like at home.

Cavusin is a beautiful village where you can avoid the excesses and clichés of tourism. From the hotel you can go for long walks. Cavusin is also very well located with respect to a discovery of Cappadocia by car.

We just recommend you Rose Valley House for your next holidays and if life is long enough sure we come back !

Suzanne, Gérard and Albina

We selected Rose Valley House based on location (didnt want to be in a tourist centre) and previous reviews. We are very happy with our choice. Right from being met at the gate to leaving we received courteous and friendly service. Adnan went out of his way to help, from dropping us into Goreme to an excellent restaurant through to suggesting and organising airport transfers, activities and tours. All done without being intrusive. His staff are a credit to him as well. We were even invited to share evening meals - very much appreciated.

The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. I have stayed in far more expensive places that offer far less in amenities than RVH.
