We stayed here for 3 nights. We loved the restaurant at the hotel. The service was very good. The room was basic, but the bed was comfortable with good linens and towels. It's super old, which lends it charm. Lots of stairs, leaning a bit due to time. Great art and hangings on the common area walls.

Nice staff, bothered with a nice crib. Friendly. Very good location. Our room had an uninteresting view and was directly opposite the restaurant toilets. Breakfast was good. Parking is near (limited to three spaces) yet not free.

This is an old style hotel with comfortable and reasonable sized rooms. To date, only one of the rooms has been modernised, but all sem to have a similar level of comfort. The shower provdes plenty of hot water and the free wifi works well. The hotel staff, particularly the young lady at reception could not be more friendly and... More

Arrived restaurant closed and wouldn't serve a drink when travelling all day on bike. Rooms ok but a bit cobbled together. Wouldn't write home about this one. Don't think we would go back. For a heritage site all a bit run down.

Don't make the mistake I did of walking from the railway station! Take the bus to "Champ de Mars" bus stop (Nos 1,2 or 3) - the hotel is 3 minutes walk away. Once at the hotel you'll be given a free bus pass which you'll need as Briancon has plenty of hills. The room and bathroom were OK without... More

Very friendly couple run this place. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the walled citadel. When you arrive you need to walk into the Vauban area (citadel) to the auberge to get a remote which allows you to enter the citadel and park. Even then parking is limited. The auberge is a quaint building with creaky floors... More

comfortable beds, small rooms but more than adequate. Fab food and simple but very good breakfast. Central in the beautiful old town. Need to get remote control key to park within city walls but not a problem.

We booked this auberge because we wanted to stay in the old town and they were able to offer us garage parking nearby. We booked a superior room to give us extra space. The room was sparsely furnished (we had to ask for a chair to enable us to write or use the computer) and we had to remake the... More

As others found, central location, pleasant rooms( superior double), period charm, excellent restaurant and very obliging staff. You cannot drive to the front so need to be able to get your luggage from the car park on foot. Bed very comfortable, Bathroom OK for adapted period property. We enjoyed the breakfasts and restaurant menu offers good value and well presented... More

This auberge is right in the centre of the old town. Extremely convenient for all the sights and restaurants. They don't have a car park on site but nearby and as they give you a "voucher" - it's free. We stayed in a "superior double" which was comfortable, spacious and airy. Everything was very clean and the linens were fresh... More
