We used the hotel for five nights as a base for our family vacation in the Hardanger Fjord region of Norway. The location is superb. The hotel is on the edge of the fjord and you get an amazing waterfront view. The hotel sits on one of the Norwegian official National Tourist Routes so it is easy to get started... More

This was a fill in stop on a tour of Hardanger Fjord when the original stop was canceled on a farm due to illness. We were served a very delicious apple cake and coffee and tea. The staff were extremely nice. there was a nice elderly man playing the accordion in the lobby. And the grounds were beautiful, leading up... More

There were steps all over, even to the 1st floor below & it was so difficult with our big & heavy luggage, especially for the older folks! The shower cubicle was unable to block the water from leaking out hence the bathroom floor was all wet :( The waste bin in the bathroom was very difficult to open! The plastic... More

Having booked late, this hotel was on the route to Lofthus. The rooms are pretty worn, with little by way of upkeep. The location on the Fjord is superb, but the hotel looks very tired, if not ancient. Staff are pleasant enough. Only stay here if you want the views and can put up with very, very basic facilities

The hotel is situated in the centre of the community in a place when a river meets the Hardanger fiord. Opposite the hotel there are shops, petrol station, a museum devoted to Ingebrigt Vik - a famous Norwegion sculptor and a community wooden church. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and sauna. All the rooms have balconies with garden... More

We stayed here for two nights n inspite of booking more than two months in advance, we were given poor rooms and told very rudely that they were overbooked. As we had already paid the money in advance, we had no choice but to stay on. They have coffee available 24x7 in their lobby. The buffet breakfast was good. You... More

I stayed here for trhree days, two nights. The location is breathtaking. The view from my room was the fjord and Folgefonna glacier beneath the constantly shifting sky. Really nice view. The hotel is worn by the time, but it hangs on. Food and service in good and polite, but the refrigiator is far to noisy.

We were in a party of over 100 people who called into the hotel for lunch one cold a snowy day in March and we enjoyed the welcome, the service, the food and the views from the hotel. We were welcomed to the hotel with a tremendous buffet of hot and cold food. The cold buffet had a very wide... More

Stayed there are 2 nights. Beautiful view and surroundings from the hotel area. Rooms were not good. Poor standard, and bathroom are from the 70's and had not been refurbished since. Breakfast was good, but the opening hours on weekends are a joke. Open 0700-1000 on a weekend !!! We stayed 2 adults and 1 child. On Sunday we got... More
