The pension is a traditional house from Saschiz . The atmosphere is very calm and the rooms are cozy. Makes you fill like being back in time and enjoying the simple life in the village. The surroundings are just amaizing, pure nature, green fields , forests , old fortresses and churches. The food in the pension is home made with... More

The house is very interesting, beeing kept as much as possible in the old style of the country. The staff is very nice and helpful. There is a large indoor area with plenty of parking space, a small museum and an outdoor mess hall. The food is delicious and the servings are large. We were not aware of the old... More

We booked two rooms here, unfortunately only for one night, on our round trip through Eastern Europe with our two adult children. We specifically needed a room with a double bed, and a room with two single beds. We also weren't sure of our exact arrival time until the day of, and didn't make up our mind about whether we... Nice experience. We tasted a little bit how the Saxons lived in the past in these places. Good accommodation, nice personnel, good food and atmosphere. The room was simple but nice decorated and clean. It was easy to reach many touristic objectives around this place. We recommend Pension Cartref.

Thirteen of us stayed at the Pension for 10 nights and had an enjoyable holiday. Anka the owner couldn't have been more helpful and organised a couple of day trips for our group. It is next to the main road so is a bit noisy although you did get used to it after a couple of nights and there are... More

Behind its unremarkable exterior there lies a gem. Not only is the pension immaculate and beautifully decorated but what really sets it apart is the passion of the owner to deliver a perfect experience for her guests. The only negative is the closeness to the road but she has dealt with this by triple glazing and air conditioning. My room... More

This charming pension is in Saschiz, 100ms away from the centre(the fortified church, a Unesco World Heritage Site). It's a very good base to explore the surroundings(Sighisoara is at 20km, Viscri, Crit, Cloasterf at the same distance in the south, Praid is at 60-70km etc). The pension is not big(maybe 8 rooms). At the ground floor they have the blue... More

The pension is located just 100 meters from the UNESCO Fortified Church & Tower of Saschiz. The house goes back to 1908 and it was beautifully restored, preserving the specific elements of the Transylvanian Saxons. The rooms are simple but very clean and cozy. Breakfast was excellent (you'll get more than you can eat). The host is very friendly, without... More
