Booked here as somewhere i expected would be quiet and can be used as a good location to have a look around the area. I would say my expectations were not quite met, but my stay was not everything i had hoped for.

Looking at the hotel outside of what i felt i had booked, it was quiet up until a late night function which spilled to outside our room on a couple occassions which took away the quiet peaceful stay we were hoping for.

The rooms are not very well seperated from the venue where events are held and meant we could hear the party in full force from our room and some heated conversations outside in the corridor.

Further to this, i was disappointed there was no room service, this would of been perfect as the time dinner was served to (9pm) limited our options for dinner, especially as we were quite remote from many other options without driving.

I had chosen here as i felt there would be a little more around nice walks within the premises, but made the error of fully reading as this is very much in the majority a golf course and not a hotel with a golf course.

The room was lovely and the view was magnificent, this was certainly a winner and the main reason i booked here as it looked peacful and spacious. The reception staff were informative and friendly.

In the end, this was a nice stay with the large exception of the party i was unaware of when booking which did put a negative feeling on the stay, but the room was lovely. The location was excellent too as we had a good base for seeing alot in the area, such as Barnsdale Gardens and going into Oakham.

It was a lovely stay, just not what i was exactly looking for, feels more a corporate or golf lovers stay and not one for couples, which is my mistake.

Just back from an excellent golfing weekend here with 10 friends. Most handicaps low to mid 20’s and the two courses were ideal. Our package included a round on each, dinner, bed & breakfast and was great value for money, particularly if you can share rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful, very good standard rooms, the bar is fairly priced and has darts, pool and Sky Sports and all the food was tasty and plentiful. Very recommended.

Our first golf break here and it was incredibly well organised from the point of booking through our entire stay. We had a fantastic welcome from the team at reception and we loved the modern bright feel of the revamped accommodation. Exceptionally clean throughout the hotel and perfectly managed to keep everyone safe through these strange times. The food menu, although limited, was plenty and the bar and restaurant are using an app to place orders which was extremely efficient. Overall a perfect stay and we were very comfortable with how the hotel managed things. They are a true example to many other places of how to operate in this new world. EXEMPLARY. Thank you.

This place Greenham valley was 5 star from start to finish, we had Rain, Wind to which i had to ask the question would the course still be open. yes was the answer once the rain stops the greens will drain within a hour, i was think really that's amazing if so. we managed to get out and play in the sunshine 1 hour 30 minuets later and the greens where clear of rain and no rain on the fairways either. the staff are all very helpful and polite and made sure we was comfortable whilst being there. food is amazing and very filling, rooms clean and tidy with a powerful shower. thank you to the green keeping staff who was working in the rain and sun you guys & girls do an amazing job well done. we cant wait to come visit you all again fingers crossed not in the wind and rain this time thank you so much everybody.

its well worth a visit and all are welcome

shout out to the welcome guy on the 1st tee and who we kept seeing around the course through out the day he was super friendly and helped us along thank you.

A hotel primarily catering for golf society trips away we were welcomed by a fantastic young receptionist who was very friendly polite efficient and knowledgeable. That forms a good impression from the minute you walk through the door. The hotel is modern and our twin room was large and actually the 2 beds were quite a way apart something you don't get very often when the bed has been split to make 2. That was a great touch. The bathroom was very functional with plenty of storage space for toiletries etc and a huge bright mirror. Breakfast the next day was nice nicely 🎁 and constantly topped up. Again the staff were knowledgeable friendly and efficient. Overall the breakfast service was run like a well oiled machine and very satisfactory. There's plenty of parking spaces I'm not a golfer but the greens looked lovely and there were plenty of buggies to get round the courses. Pleasant stay would stay again.

Our golfing group came here for 2 rounds of golf and overnight bed, breakfast an evening meal. £99 if sharing a room. There are 2 courses, both are superb. We played the Valley course first, it’s shorter, narrow and very pretty. Looks simple on paper, tricky in reality.
The next day we played the Lakes course which is longer, wider and more exposed. Scores were lower here, but again the course was in great condition.

Our hotel rooms were large, well equipped and very clean. First night we had a 3 course meal with multiple choices for each course. Everything was well cooked, very tasty and with large portions. The service was spot on. Next morning it was buffet breakfast and again all excellent.

It was notable that the complex is very well staffed with no apparent shortages, and that all the staff were very good at their jobs.

In conclusion this is as good as any golf complex we have ever visited and we look forward to returning.

Room Tip: Book a buggy for the Valley course if you struggle with hills. It is hilly.

Great setting went for lunch, great private dining room beautifully laid out for us all.
Food was great, some of us had starters , very tasty and most of us had the Carvery, we had plenty of meat and the vegetables were brought to the table. Sweet for those that had room was from the sweet trolley they all looked good from the lemon tart to the cheesecake.
We had lovely waiters, with nothing being too much trouble for them.
Plenty of car parking space for the MoHo’s to!

I have just returned from Greetham Valley Golf Club after spending five days with a group of 24 men, this was our 10th year running at this resort.
Anyone thinking of arranging a golf day or week i would not hesitate in recommending Greetham Valley.
From the time we arrived until we left the staff were extremely helpful, nothing was to much trouble.
Both courses and the par three were in perfect condition, the food was excellent, a good selection for breakfast and a number of different choices on the menu for the evening meal.
Mike.

Course not in the best of condition but acceptable. Bar service not great as had to be done via an app rather than table service.
Saw an advert for pie and a pint which ordered. Pies however had to be cooked so had to wait half an hour. They did provide some complimentary chips but we had to order more drinks and ended up being there longer than we really needed to be as we ( all 4 of us) were travelling.

Can’t see why like at my own club it can’t be table serviced

We have just arrived home after a wonderful 2 night golf break from Greetham Valley with friends. Everything from booking the break with Gilly who is fantastic and so well organised, to the warm welcome on reception from Ben when we arrived was great. There are 2 quality golf courses to play equally as good as each other. The breakfast and dinner menus had plenty to choose from and every meal we had was enjoyable and served efficiently by the friendly staff. Rooms are very comfortable also. We highly recommend a visit to well organised venue.
