Syvio and his wife gave us a warm welcome. The room was really clean and nice, the breakfast is good with a nice view between the Etna and the sea. The parking is private in a nice garden. We have spent 3 nights at the bed and breakfast, we just want to say thank you again to them.

Our stay at Palazzo Giovanni was warm and welcoming, made all the more special by the homemade limoncello offered upon our arrival. Silvio was a wealth of information and history of the area. The rooms were spotless, and breakfast was served every morning on the terrace with a view of Mt. Etna to the north and the sea to the...

The stay at the beautifull place of Silvio we enjoyed very much. The hospitable warm welcome, clean room, amazing views on the roof terrace it all contributed to this. When visting Etna again we for sure will come back to this lovely place.

Stazzo is not the height of Tourist country although a good centre if you want to walk up Etna. However, Palazzo Giovanni makes up for any shortcomings. Our Host, Sylvio was extremely attentive and helpful, the rooms were immaculate and the breakfast terrace a wonderful place to start the day.

We had a great experience at this peaceful bed and breakfast. Silvio is a fantastic host. He welcomed us with enthusiasm and warmth, and some great limocello. He gave us a good orientation to the area, and the next morning showed us around his place, telling us about the oranges and kumquats and garden. Warm, cozy rooms, and a wonderful...

You can't ask for a more charming hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated, very comfortable and clean. You can see at first sight that this place is run by owners who care and who want their guests to enjoy their stay. They are always there to help and give tips on restaurants or things to see in the area. The...

We are so pleased that the owners of Palazzo Giovanni. Silvio and Alessandra, have managed to keep their busy B&B meticulously maintained in excellent condition with the same love that they had in 2009, the first time that we were their guests. The Sicilian charm and character has also improved as the car park / citrus tree garden has been...

As already mentioned in the other comments, this might be one of the best places to stay around the Etna. Clean, cousy rooms, awesome breakfast on the roof top terrace as well as the very kind owner are the reasons to stay here. We would always stay here again and recommend this place to everyone who prefers an authentic b&b...

Just what you want from a B & B. Silvio, the owner, really cares. The breakfasts on the terrace (after negotiating the 100 year old spiral staircase) was sensational. Fresh orange juice using oranges grown by Silvio, filled croissants and pastries to die for. The view from our bedroom was straight onto Mount Etna.

I highly recommend this B&B which is located in an old palace near Acireale. The owner, Silvio, is very friendly and chatty and gave us lots of precious tips for restaurants and excursions. As it was bad weather, breakfast could not be served on the terrace as usual, but we were given a generous vouchers for a nearby cafe where...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Immersed in the perfumed lemon gardens which are typical of Acireale coast, Giovanni Palace B&B has been recently renovated in full obedience of the original style of early twentieth-century building, with all the amenities and comforts of a prestigious hotel. Art-Nouveau-decorated floors, fresco ceilings, original period furniture and paintings made by grandma represent the manners of a noble Etnean family, "Leotta Dilettoso Vagliasindi del Castello", whose Silvio, the manager of the B&B, is the youngest descendant. You can admire the wonderful view of Etna Volcano and lose your gaze above the horizon on Ionian Sea. ... more   less
