We went in February half term and stayed for two nights in a Treehouse lodge. Safari & Reserve - The safari experience was excellent and Penny was a brilliant tour guide - really informative on the local history and the animals we saw. Great day out and plenty to see. Check in- Chaos - and this wasn't peak season! You go to the mansion to sign paperwork and then back to concierge to get your key and buggy. Despite the buggies being sat there charged and ready to go they won't release them before 3pm so it is very busy then. Accomodation - Treehouses are a little tired for the price that is charged - thinning towels, fraying dressing gowns, black mould on the tiles and carpet that didn't reach all the walls oddly. The steps are very steep and, as it was raining, slippery. The tread they had previously nailed on to stop them being slippery had come away on all steps and not been replaced or repaired. We hauled our suitcases up but when leaving realised you can access the back with the buggy and avoid the steps. We arrived at the clubhouse and had our free welcome drink - watch out though as it seems only certain drinks are "welcome drinks" but they didn't explain that. We found out the beer and two hot chocolates had been added to our bill when we checked out without our knowledge. Dining - Babydoll restaurant was great - fantastic food and quite a fun buggy ride to get there. The Garden Restaurant did a lovely breakfast but it is definitely pricey for what you get. Howletts - We expected to be able to go to Howletts as it was included (and promoted as being included) in our booking. We realised the day before we arrived it was closed because when they say "open during school holidays" on their website only applies to Kent school terms dates so worth checking (though they were going to add dates going forward). Rather than rescue this situation brilliantly Port Lympne chose an awkward haggle suggesting Howletts wasn't part of the experience we had paid for before, after discussion, finally offering a reasonable discount on an animal encounter as compensation.

We have had a great day! We used a Virgin Experiences voucher which allowed us access into the aniaml reserve, a safari trip AND a delicious 2 course Sunday roast in the Garden Restaurant. I would definitely recommend using this voucher. Park: The park was clean, organised and a fun day out! We went in Feb 2024, it was raining and muddy so pack a big umbrella and dress appropriately. I’d say some animals looked sad (the wolves were beautiful but I personally feel their enclosure was far too small but then again I am not an expert) but it was pouring with rain and very very muddy in some of the enclosures so may have caught them on a bad day. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The basecamp cafe was very very expensive (£2.30 for a bottle of water, £4.75 for a hot chocolate, £10 for a jacket potato with beans) and very very slow at making hot drinks. Orders were getting made wrong and if you are waiting in the queue for the safari ride (which you cannot take hot drinks on) it feels quite painful watching your coffee being made. Luckily you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks in so I’d recommend a flask of tea and a picnic. Lots of places for a picnic. Safari: Incredible! The staff were extremely knowledgable and interesting to talk to. They were real experts in their field. The ride is VERY bumpy and I was thrown from my seat a couple of times (fun for some!) I’d be weary with babies/toddlers. I’d go as far to say if you wouldn’t be able to go on a small rollercoaster due to age or health I wouldn’t risk the safari ride. It was amazing to see such an array of animals which you would never see on foot with the huge distance we covered driving. Restaurant: One of the best roasts I’ve ever had! And I LOVE a roast. Perfectly cooked roast beef. Potatoes were as crispy as home cooked ones and unlimited gravy when you ask. Chocolate brownie for pudding with ice cream which was to die for! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and staff were on hand at all times. A lovely end to a great day. We finished by walking around the gardens in front of the mansion. Beautiful views and manicured gardens.

Stayed for 3 nights in the hotel for utter comfort but there is a huge range of other accommodation available. We were in Lloyd George, lovely room, it has a modern bathroom and great views of the coast. Booked a tiger encounter owing to personal interest as two of the males relocated here from our local zoo Colchester. Our rangers were Deb and a trainee Mike, they were both absolutely excellent, friendly but utterly professional. Mike explained the safety procedure very clearly and thoroughly, we fed the female Amura who was thankfully very mild mannered that day. The experience was amazing, worth the money, we learnt a lot as both rangers are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and dedicated. We glimpsed Amuras’ husband to be Mischa, separated from her at the moment until they prove to be compatible, a slow lengthy vital process, but visited him later on in our stay when it was his turn in the outside space. We also saw Pasha, who is in the lower enclosure with his wife to be Amber, they are separated too as awaiting compatibility aswell. Both males look magnificent, so well, it was a real treat to see them now matured as we saw them as tiny cubs. You get an electric golf buggy with the room, this has a sat nav type map screen which is handy, easy to drive and the buggy routes are clearly marked. We dined in the Garden Room and breakfasted there, the food is lovely and the staff friendly and accommodating. We also dined at Baby Dolls Pizza restaurant, this was excellent, pizza cooked fresh and delicious and fun to get to via the dinosaur forest in the dark! You also get a Safari truck trip per day, these last about an hour and take you over the higher ground of the site, very interesting and the guide is well versed on all the residents. There are a lot of species on the site but as the enclosures are so large and cater for every individual animals’ habitat they are hard to spot but that’s the charm of Port Lymph, animal welfare is put first always. Their rewilding programme leaves me in awe, it’s such a bold and rewarding thing to do. You simply must stay here, nothing like being woken by the mischievous gibbons or the roar of the lions, just magical, we will definitely be back!

We visited PL for the second time this year and we were blown away with how inclusive and supportive staff were to a disabled member or our group, making our stay very enjoyable and relaxed. The tree houses were so clean and modern, very comfortable to stay in and accessible with a wheelchair which was great. Baby doll takeaway pizzas were delicious and delivered promptly at the time we booked. The high winds and storm didn’t impact the enjoyment we had with all aspects of the reserve still open including the lovely clubhouse where we received complimentary Prosecco and marshmallows to roast around the fire pit. Thank you for a brilliant stay.

My hubby and I booked a night in the hotel with my brother and SIL, which included a buggy and Safari. We have stayed before at Hog Deer Creek but as it was winter, we thought we'd opt for the hotel. We arrived in the middle of Storm Henk but this did not dampen things at all and we all had a fantastic time. The room was really comfortable (T E Lawrence) with tea and coffee facilities and very cosy and warm. The hotel itself was beautiful and the bar was a nice relaxing area with a good variety of drinks and snacks. We had dinner at Babydolls and this was also spot on. Friendly staff and great food! Breakfast was included in the Garden Room and again, this was tasty, hot and plentiful. We had the privilege of going on the Giraffe feeding safari and the ranger, Alex, made this a highlight of our stay. He was so knowledgeable, fun and you could really tell that he loved his job! This was a fantastic experience for us all and we will be booking again and doing a two-night stay next time!

BEYOND EXPECTATION & OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Booked Lion & Tiger lodges for a 2 night stay. Both lodges are stunning, with views out onto the lion & tiger enclosures. The Lion lodge had high ceilings with the 2nd bedroom on a mezzanine level & large garden with a fire pit overlooking the main hotel from above - both lodges were decorated to a high standard & interior were as you would expect a “lodge” to look like. Roaring real fires in both, outside baths, complimentary fizz & snacks & a personal golf buggy. ALL Staff were attentive & enthusiastic - they clearly loved working at Port Lympne. I highly recommend staying here - will definitely go back.

I found it poor that we had to first go to customer services and then over to the house to be booked in, surely this could be in one place. My Wife who is disabled wished to use the toilet, but the Ladies is up some steps and the disabled is in the Garden Room, (when wishing to use these on the second day, we found the Doors locked, even though told they would always be open) So on both times my Wife had to use the Gents. (Note: the right hand one is loose, not bolted to the floor). We were told the Tree House was ready, but found it was still being cleaned! The outside lights did not work, nor is there a light down the side of the house. Very poor as an Accessible house and also a gap in the fence for steps. The room was very hot and the cooling fan remote did not work. The T.V did not work, I found this was due to only one battery in the remote. In trying to contact the office, found the phone was unplugged but still did not work, again very poor as this is an Accessible house. Called the office from my phone, a maintenance man came out, but only brought AAA not AA batteries. On returning along with Chloe, fixed the T.V and confirmed the other remote, lights and phone did not work. Chloe, kindly left her torch with us, and the back lights were fixed. I would also like to point out, that some of the areas should be looked at and made disabled/wheelchair friendly, and wouldn't take much to do. When I was at the Baboon scatter feed, the rails on the centre section are to low, and i very nearly fell backwards, when food was passed across me. The Dinner was fine, except they did not know about the booking package, and the cocktail drink was not supplied. told no voucher no drink. Breakfast was just a very bad experience,The table was not laid out, service was very slow and poor as if we were an inconvenience. We had to ask for knives, forks and side plates. Tomato sauce took so long we had already eaten. Asked for bread and butter twice, Toast was slow and cold even the second batch was cold. On leaving we were asked to pay, we advised we had a package and this was part of it, told it would be charged to the room and to take it up with customer services! We did so and advised that the package was new? but we booked on 04.09.2023? And system was not updated. All the above was relaid to Concierge / Customer Service's at the time, and on their Review e-mail, We have yet to receive ANY feed back from the Management Team.

We had the privilege of doing the safari tour today 12/12/2023 and although the weather didn't quite get the memo, we were fortunate to be paired with Will who was our ranger/tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable with a fantastic sense of humour. It was a fabulous way to spend my daughter's birthday & we shall be back in the summer. You won't regret going.

Not the stay we intended due to a family member becoming seriously ill, but the support and care of the concierge/accommodation staff could not have been more amazing. Unflustered by our medical emergency, the staff were efficient, knowledgeable, calming, genuinely concerned and thoughtful about our family's needs. If you're going to have a family emergency, have it here because these faultlessly lovely, brilliant people will have your back. A huge thank you to all of them from all of us. And we got to sit just a window pane away from a f***ing huge tiger!
