This is a lovely B & B. Diane was so thoughtful and ensured our stay was really enjoyable. We were served tea and delicious scones on arrival in the lounge area which we could use at anytime during our stay. The bedrooms were very clean, comfortable and well stocked with tea, coffee etc. The breakfast was outstanding in its quality and quantity of food. It is in a quiet location, yet easily accessible to many interesting places. Thank you Diane for looking after us and we will return.
We stayed with Diane and Adam from the 2nd of February to the 6th February this year and she made us welcome for the start, we arrived late and had to go out straight away to meet family but Diane met us with a lovely smile and explained everything to us and even left us a warm underblanket on for when we got back, much appreciated as it was cold. We could come and go as we pleased and the breakfast was amazing. All in all a really lovely atomsphere to be in, warm cozy and Diane is a perfect host.
We stayed at Woodside farm on our way up north. A lovely welcome from Diane with a super cream tea. The rooms were very nice, clean and had everything we could possibly need, as were the bathrooms. We were upstairs and our friends had the downstairs room. Diane’s breakfasts were excellent, fruit, cereals, juice, yoghurts plus full English, in fact everyone was catered for. The farm was in a lovely quiet, peaceful location and we wandered down the lanes in the evenings. The area was an area we had not visited before, but will certainly return to investigate further and stay at Belvoir at Woodside Farm again. Thank you Diane and Adam.
My husband and I stayed at Belvoir B&B at Woodside Farm for one night at the beginning of June whilst in the area to visit Belvoir Castle. On arrival, Diane welcomed us into her home with a beautiful cream tea which was a super, thoughtful touch. We stayed in the downstairs double bedroom which was spacious and clean, with a large bathroom well stocked with towels and toiletries. Our room had everything we needed together with extra touches too, such as a box of plasters and a roll of sellotape in the basket on the dressing table. There was no TV but this wasn't a problem for us. After having dinner in the lovely pub in the next village, we both slept well and really enjoyed our cooked breakfast the next morning. Nothing was too much trouble for Diane and we left the table feeling quite full. After a good look at the cattle on the farm and a final stroke of the cats, we headed off to the Castle and then home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the farm to others and hope to return in the future.…
This is a first-rate bed & breakfast on all levels. The welcome, the food, the place were all fantastic. My family stayed in May 2016 and we hope to return again when possible. The owners were exceptional and extremely helpful above and beyond what was required. Many many (albeit belated) thanks.
Stopped on our way home to break our journey. This is an exceptional B and B. We were given a very warm welcome and some great tea and scones. Nothing was too much trouble, we had a very comfy room and bathroom, and thus a great night's sleep. Breakfast was great too, superbly cooked and more than enough. Thanks for a super stay, and hope to return soon!.
My sister and I booked this B+B so we could take part in the Tough Mudder at Belvoir castle. What a lovely surprise we got as we pulled up the track to the working farm. Diane met us at the door and welcomed us in with warm scones and a hot brew. What a great start. The room was great. Two beds, one double, one single plus tea and coffee making facilities. There wasn't a TV but we didn't mind, the view from the room across the field of grazing cows was lovely. The breakfast was made to order, all you could eat and more, tea, coffee orange juice, fresh fruit. You name it and it was there. We've just tried to book again for next year only to find some one had already beaten us to it. Never mind, I'm sure they'll enjoy it as much as we did. We would definitely recommend this B+B for its facilities, lovely views, food and hostess. Thanks for everything, Diane.…
We were at an evening event at Belvoir Castle, on the hill above, and needed somewhere close. Woodside was recommended and - at short notice - we were lucky, to find such a hospitable, quiet and comfortable spot, with an excellent and generous breakfast to set us up for a long day following. The farm is splendidly far back from the road (the aptly named Long Lane), so finding the entrance in daylight is a good idea.
We visited for 3 nights. Probably 3 of the best nights sleep we have ever had. The bed was so comfortable, the room temperatrure was just right and the place is just so peaceful. The bathroom was clean, plenty of towels and very spacious. Each morning started with a lovely breakfast, many choices of cereals, porridge, fruit, yoghurt etc and a very nice full english. The hostess, Diane, is a lovely lady, happy to chat and full of local information.
From the moment we arrived we felt very happy, Diane welcomed my daughter and I with a very genuine warm smile, helped us in with our bags, showed us where everything was, left us to settle in and made us the most welcomed pot of tea and biscuits. Tremendous start to our stay, it only got better! The attention to every detail is astounding and I am very hard to please. Diane's breakfast are of the same very high quality and cooked to perfection. I can not recommend this little gem of a B&B enough. I just hope we get the opportunity to stay again. Thank you Diane.
