Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had a great time at the St Cyrus village hotel yesterday. I was showed around all 4 rooms in the building and the outdoor beer garden and it is a nice and cosy place. Best of all the black pudding and steak pie with peppercorn sauce was absolutely amazing - I will be returning in the summer to use the beer garden no doubt!

Had an evening meal here. The food was hot, fresh and plentiful and service was great. We had prawns, breaded haddock and the Scottish pie. Fis was really so good and the pie was an interesting combination.

Staying at a local caravan site we ordered fish and chips for our tea and were not disappointed. Food arrived quickly with a smile and was hot and delicious. Definitely recommend this wonderful establishment.

Popped in here after calling in advance to make sure we'd get a table with the dog. Nice pub, was fairly busy when we went, but we got a table. Dinner was unfussy pub grub. Great value and very tasty. Staff were all friendly and the bill was extremely reasonable.

After moving from another hotel which I found way to cold for me. What a total relief and an absolute pleasure my stay at St Cyrus Village Inn was. Staff had made sure heating was at max for me (I have fibromyalgia, so need heat, the cold is my enemy) the room was so cosy and lovely, recently redecorated with a lovely new carpet and the ensuite had been a fitted out too. Yvonne and Ian the owners are so lovely and they and the staff couldn’t do enough for me, nothing was too much trouble. Next time I stay I will definitely make sure I’m back early enough to use their restaurant as breakfast was fab. And people called in to say they had the best meal they ever had in their restaurant (Even where I was working about 10-15 miles away people were telling me to try the restaurant but just didn’t have the opportunity this time.). Iv already spoke to Yvonne about staying again in just over a weeks time, and iv advise the office it’s an absolute jem of a place for my colleges too. I am always slightly concerned when staying at a hotel with a bar when I’m away for work that it might be too noisy but not the case here at all. Can’t rave about this great find enough, set in beautiful wee village with the most beautiful surrounding country side and views too. ❤️ Margaret Adam Scotlands Charity Air Ambulance

The meal we had was excellent. The Scot’s Pie was easily the best pie I have tasted - anywhere and I know my pies. All the dishes were excellent and nicely presented. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable We will be back

Just had a delicious meal at the St Cyrus village Inn. It was good to get a proper steak pie. Food was great, reasonably priced, friendly owner, staff and locals. The Inn has pool ( which my son loved) , darts and tv. Would highly recommend and would happily go back again.

Having found ourselves between homes, we spent several nights at the St Cyrus Village Inn. We had a lovely Double Room, large enough to accommodate our 5 suitcases and still feel spacious. There's was a good sized an suite as well. We enjoyed our cooked to order breakfast each morning with plenty of choice. We had evening as well. Plenty of options to choose from and all very good. Big Thank You to Ian and Yvonne for a lovely stay.
