We stayed in Tree House this year and it was amazing, beds are comfortable and its warm. Rebooked for next year. We always Camp here over bank holidays aswell. The only thing which would be good is a little outdoor kitchen with Sink to wash up and possibly a Toilet for the cabin users to use. You do need to take your own mugs etc to make Tea and Coffee, also plates etc Bedding , kettle , Towels and little fridge are provided. There are some good pubs about to eat at , the coffee shop onsite is good. Staff are all amazing and site is kept really well. Shower block is fab remember your 50p. There is noise from Planes but you get used to it.

The place is tired, the chemical toilet is awful, the noise from Gatwick airport is constant & a shower costs 50p. Only the entrance is smart. Definitely wouldn’t return sadly. The grass around the caravans that are residential looks like it’s never cut being very overgrown

My wife and I stayed with our daughter in a campervan on a non-electric grass pitch in the large hayfield. Last year throughout the year we paid £20. This year we paid £40.50 with no explanation other than they had put prices up. Absolute rip off. The pitches have now long weeds growing round them (used to be wild flowers) which means everyone dumps bbq and log ash in them. The pitch hadn’t been checked and there was so much burnt ash and coals on the grass. What used to be a lovely big area to play games on is no longer there so games can’t be played. You even still have to pay for a shower - what an absolute joke.

Stayed lots of times on non electric pitches but this year they have significantly hiked their prices and for three of us we paid £41 for one night without electric. They still make you pay for showers which adds to the feeling of being really ripped off. They have also made each pitch secluded and smaller this year and many pay the £60 extra to have a fire pit and logs then proceed to chuck the ashes around the pitch when cold. Just go elsewhere

This campsite is OK. Very expensive compared to others, so we were expecting a bit of luxury, especially as the showers were an extra charge. However, the toilets and showers were nothing short of filthy most of the time. People were brushing their teeth in the washing up sinks, there were dogs in the showers, and there was mud and soggy toilet roll all over the floor. We saw the cleaner once a day, who did a really good job, but they definitely need cleaning more often. The pitches are a good size and well maintained, and there are some lovely walks just off the site down to a local pub. The food vans that came at the weekend were great and the food was really nice. This campsite is directly under the Gatwick flight path, which we loved, but it is noisy and the planes fly over pretty much 24 hours a day. Would we come back? - probably not. Not unless the prices are lowered or the cleaning is much improved.

Overpriced - paid £80 for 2 nights camping pitch with electricity. The map does state 3 shower blocks however only 1 main shower block for the whole of the middle - back of the campsite which is about 50 pitches. Had to pay 50p for what was advertised online as a ‘12 min shower’ yet it was actually 8 minutes. Shower blocks were maintained throughout the day however ended up a mess in the evenings. The toilet and shower cubicles were all in one and only 3 x women and 3 x men for approx 50 pitches. There is suppose to be a 10pm-8am noise curfew however on staying there was a large party of guests (approx 30/40 people - parents with children / families together) who did not abide by this rule. After following the policy for noise complaints the noise of screaming children still continued until 11:30pm. Children wandering between everyone’s pitches, no real guidance for which patchs to be followed. There is an ‘on site’ security guard and a policy that if you don’t abide to the noise curfew then you will be asked to leave yet probably due to the income made by the large group staying this was ignored. It continued the second night too and people playing music until 12am. The campsite is under a flight patch however not an issue for us. The site was going for a ‘natural habitat’ kind of vibe however was just very overgrown and not well maintained. Would struggle if staying on a grass pitch in a motorhome, caravan or tent if it’s been raining due to the state of the grass. Overall wouldn’t come back. Seems the owners are more bothered about making money then enforcing their own rules they’ve made.

The site is quite nice , new toilet and shower block nicely done and didn’t have any wait time to shower early in the morning. Seems most people go for a shower when they get home from work in the evening .we did see male and females going into the ladies shower block together in the evening which didn’t seem correct. The meadow area has been made lovely and when it is established it will have the wow factor. Like most have already said it is right under the flight path so day and night you have planes going over , don’t expect too much sleep ! Think the site is overpriced, we had 2 nights 45 mins away for less money , better facilities and so very peaceful .

We stayed in a bell tent with friend for a weekend. The tents were beautiful with bedding, towels, fire pit and wood included. Plenty of space, walking distance to the Wiremill Pub. Beds werent very comfortable and it is right under the flight path so quite noisy. Very well organised, staff are really friendly and helpful and great setting. If you are not bothered by plane noise then it is highly recommended.

Hello Sarah, Thank you for visiting us. It is great to hear you enjoyed staying in one of our 'Bell tents' this year. We are sorry you found the beds uncomfortable. We will discuss this with our housekeeping team and review the mattresses for our new season. It is very pleasing to know you found our toilet/shower blocks the cleanest you have ever seen while camping! We do invest a great deal into these to give our campers a pleasant experience. We hope to see you again in 2023! The Long Acres Team.
