I was literally wowed to see this beautiful n flawlessly clean home of Mr. John.We ate dinner there only which was lip smacking.Enjoyed our stay there n wished to stay longer but due to short trip we could stay for one day only.Everything was perfect. It gives you luxury with very less cost for it.

I agree with most of the other reviews in that the welcome by Mr John is second to none. A charming host, who wanted to be sure I had a good stay. His staff were also very friendly, and the cook excellent. A lovely garden, which would have been a great place to relax with some chai if I had... More

We stayed one night whilst visiting the area. The room was clean and tidy but everything was becoming a little tired. We were given a nice welcome by the host who took great pride in showing us around. The beds are a little on the firm side but after a beer or two (you can buy them in house) and... More

This homestay is good for the money that you pay. It was neat and clean. Food was good and homely. The view was splendid. Feels very good to sit at the back garden. The owner Mr.John has done a great job, great hospitality.

This cottage is right in front of a small river and also has a outdoor dining area with garden where you can sit and enjoy food with the view of the river. The rooms are also quite neat and so is the food. Would definitely love to visit this place when im back to munnar again..

close to town center, comfortable and fresh beds, hygienic toilets. Staff of the home stay were friendly. Hotel staff can prepare food on prior request and prices of meal are competitive. TV was there but having only Tamil/Malayalam channels. There are no vegetarian hotels close by. Munnar town road are in very bad condition. Spices are sold in Town of... More

I stayed here with my family for 2 nights and believe me it was a great stay. The place is small but good and well maintained. Its run by the owner "John" A great guy and the caretaker or manager "Das" again a great guy. Both are the stars of this place. They make you so comfortable and cared for... More

We spent one night here whilst visiting the tea plantations and Top Station. The room and bathroom was clean and had hot water. The staff will cook a 3 course dinner for you but it's only a very short walk to other restaurants. Breakfast was very nice but not that large. Our room was just off the dining/lounge area so... I liked staying at John's in Munnar because I met so many great people there, both guests and staff. The walk from John's into the tea plantation was beautiful and serene.

A friend and I traveled around Kerala in February. We stayed at John's Homestay for two nights. The place was friendly and clean. The staff will cook a full dinner for you if you'd like to sit down with other guests of the guesthouse. Our room was off of the main area so we could hear everything that was happening... More
