The rooms are away from the pub and they are clean comfortable and quiet. We ate at the pub and the steak was excellent, breakfast was a good- all locally sourced-little cold I'm afraid, but the staff were nice. The pub itself is warm and welcoming, with a lovely fire going, would definitely recommend it if you're touring the dales.

Excellent value, to get a room for 3 breakfast included, free parking and free wi-fi is a real find. The room was spacious, very warm, clean and tidy and had all the great extras, TV, tea and coffee, biscuits etc. hairdryer and toiletries. Lovely powerful shower, although the shower tray was very slow to drain away. Beds were comfortable with...

This is the second time we have stayed at The village Inn, and the high standards we experienced the first tine were well maintained this time. The accommodation was excellent, with a clean and tidy room, which was lovely and warm to keep out the winter cold. The breakfast was perfect, a good choice and in my case, well cooked...

My wife and I went mid week for lunch and what a revelation. Just out-side of Northallerton in a picturesque village. Plenty of parking. The pub is clearly geared for dining and has built up quite a reputation judging by the numbers of people there. I assume that it is under newish ownership as it looked recently re-decorated and there...

Stayed at The Village Inn for 2 nights recently while visiting York University. Situated in the village of Brompton overlooking a lovely village green, which has a river and ford running through it. The rooms are separate from the Inn, but just a short walk across the car park. We had a family room which was a good size -...

I had booked a room in The Village Inn as I needed somewhere to stay for the night. I arrived and a nice young man booked me in and showed me where my room was. It was as I remembered with rooms around the car park and plenty of parking. I sorted myself out and I then went back to...
