The resort has the best location and views. Location wise it is very near to the attreactions like Saiyoke Yai, Saiyoke noi, far from the city but near the natural beauties. Very old resort and needs renovations in the room urgently. They have lots of vegetarian items in their menu or you can order too. lots of activities for kids...

The staff weren't helpful communication was bad and misleading, there was no taxis to get anywhere and the hotel was very out the way. It took around an hour to find a local 7/11. Bad location overall. Food was terrible, shower was one of the worst. we was not places anywhere near the river or where was shown in the...

Checked in at the same time a large group did, and this seamed to create some minor issues, but the staff battled through, and got us our rooms. Room key must be in the slot, so every time you go to the pool, cafe, bar, restaurant for more than 5 mins, you come back to a boiling hot room, that...

Turned up without booking and paid 2600 baht for a room floating on a raft on the river. Room was outdated, tired and in need of renovation, but seemed clean enough. Bathroom barely acceptable in terms of maintenance and quality of fittings. TV very old and susceptible to overheating. Aircon effective. Insects problematic due to location on the river. Beautiful...

The Pung-Waan Resort is a good hotel if you're passing through the area. We stayed for 1 night, but I wouldn't recommend staying longer than 2-3 days. The hotel is surrounded by nature and I would recommend taking a swim in the swimming pool. The rooms are decorated in an old fashioned way and the Wifi isn't available everywhere. The...

The hotel and rooms are a bit old and tired but still offers lot of good things. Location and facilities are great for company team building outings, which is what the hotel is used for a lot. The location and scenic river views are very nice. The Thai food in the restaurant was ok and reasonably priced. But all things...

This is not somewhere you come for a 5 star hotel. The property is ok and needs a makeover in some places. But the location is so beautiful and the property is huge and full of team buidling type of activities and activities for kids. If you come for a few days you can play outside and never get bored....

The low light of our overnight stays in the Kanchanaburi area. There are many, many better places to stay on the river. Sprawling resort, uncared for, looked like it had shut for the season. Hardly any guests (unsurprisingly). Staff training required. Breakfast appalling, juice (I jest, something slightly less appealing than orange squash) served in a bowl, fruit selection comprised...

River side hotel. Stayed for a night. Room is old but clean. Doesn't come with coffee and tea making facilities & hairdryer. Aircon works alright. Need to have own transport, bit far from main road. Some mini market on main road and fresh market. No wifi in room only in lobby area. Breakfast is basic. Big grounds in hotel area...

Pung Waan Resort is a hidden gem. Very reasonably priced, infact by Australian Standards it is dirt cheap but offers million dollar views and a truly memorable experience. We were 3 families and stayed in the Riverview Cottages. They are very basic but can not fault the cleanliness. Rustic is a word that springs to mind. As other reviewers have...
