Found this little gem last minute and only wish we'd had longer to spend a full day by the beautiful pool over looking the fields! After landing in Bergerac, this place is a perfect little hideaway from the busy town centre and only a 20 minute drive! Fantastic pizza restaurant just up the road too!

I was lucky to be in the Campsegret area on business for a few days, and La Libertie was just right in terms of being close to everything, but still tucked away to make you feel like you're on a getaway deep in the French countryside. Hosts Christina and Johan were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. For example, breakfast generally starts...

OK, they are not especially geared up for bikes -- there is nowhere to store 8 bikes under cover for instance -- but the owners were very accommodating and the weather was good. They've put a lot of effort and money into this property and it's a delight to stay at. Off the beaten track of course, and that's part...

This is a lovely, charming hotel, in a rural setting, run by a super attentive, charming couple (Swedish proprietress, so English is spoken). The owners spent a great deal of thought in renovating the property, preserving its charms while modernizing the amenities. Rooms are nicely appointed, beds super comfortable, and the setting is gorgeous. We were not able to enjoy...

We stayed here for a wedding and I cannot recommend it highly enough as a relaxing place to spend a few days in the French countryside. The rooms were immaculate. The decor was simple but stunning. The pool, beautiful and clean. The hosts were charming. The food and wine we had on our arrival was truly delicious and the breakfasts...

La Libertie is a converted farmhouse twenty minutes north of Bergerac. It's set in a quiet wooded valley well away from the RN21, the house and grounds are secluded and picturesque. The Swedish owners, Christina and Johann both have restaurant backgrounds and took over LL five years ago. Their taste, charm and professionalism show in every detail, from the comfortable...

This place is a must. La Libertie is a secluded oasis. It is a beautiful home surrounded by a pond and an inviting garden, and a pool with great surroundings. The service compares to none, the attention to detail is amazing, and the breakfast is more than you would expect. You must dine in for dinner at least once, the...

We stayed at the beginning of September for one week as we were attending a wedding a couple of miles away. We had no idea our random choice of accommodation would turn out to be so beautifully perfect. We can only add our voice to the previous reviews of how lovely La Libertie was. It is set in beautiful surroundings...

We stayed at La Libertie for a week at the beginning of September, and we did not want to leave! Johan and Christina were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble, and we felt we could approach them with any queries we had about the local area, transport, local restaurants, supermarket...we asked a lot of questions! Breakfast was a...
