We were overwhelmed on entering la Casa di Montalbano - just as on the TV except his bed is not to be seen by the window/balcony! We had an excellent room - Maestrale - overlooking the balcony, beach and sea and it was heavenly to go to sleep with the window open to the sound of waves. A Sunday is...

This was an unashamed pilgrimage the land of Inspector Montalbano. We stayed in the House and had full day tour of filming locations and, as an introduction to this gorgeous part of the world, it was a fabulous short break. We are a family who likes food and Sicilian food has an entirely justified reputation - from the Scaccie stuffed...

We travelled to the small town of Punta Secca having watched the Italian Crime Drama Inspector Montalbano. Punta Secca is a delightful place with modest but wonderfully displayed buildings including the fictional Inspector's house which is a B&B (we didn't venture inside). The atmosphere was relaxed and not ultra touristy - this felt like a onetime Sicilian fishing village albeit...

As with many reviewers we are Montelbano fans and couldn't come to this place without visiting his house! Well worth seeing it but disappointed the house next door has not been kept in the same style. Nevertheless and tick in the box for us and back to seeing the DVDs when we are home and saying "we've been there!".

Great to be in Montalbano's house. Good food. Comfortable bed, basic bathroom. Fun to walk on beach and see sights from the TV series. Maria was very helpful. Local coffee at breakfast was great. Hard to find in dark, driving in from Comiso airport.

Hi Barbara, thanks for your message. We are glad to hear you spent a beautiful holiday at the B&B. You are right, the way to drive to the house in the night is not so confortable but we are sure they are going to improve the indications and lighting in the future. The airport is new and one of the...

The house is lovely, it is mostly set up as you would see in the montalbano programme. Maria was very good at explaining how the set and the programme worked, how everything was set up which was very interesting. The breakfast was ok, the highlight of which is discussing locations and sharing information with other residents. We were there in...

Went to Sicily because of the stunning scenery in the programme didn't expect to find his house at all but we did in our first day. Woo hoo. Took a quick picture and had a coffee in the local bar. Lovely

We booked this because we are Montalbano fans, but it would have been worth going even if we'd never heard of Montalbano. Spacious, comfortable rooms with fantastic views, a good range of food available at breakfast, really helpful staff (Maraia and Agata). Right on the beach to enjoy good weather and well placed for visiting Ragusa, Scicli, Modica (Chocolate) and...

La Casa di Montalbano is set right on a lovely sandy beach with warm clear waters perfect for swimming. The room we had was very well appointed and the breakfast served on the terrace was delicious. Maria was so helpful and friendly. Punta Secca is a delightful place - full of restaurants and ideal for the passaggieta.
