Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Upon disembarking from the ferry terminal, my walk with the luggage to the Blue Bay Hotel was comfortable and convenient. Initially, I had my reservations as I felt that the near proximity from the terminal to Hotel would be too close so it would then be a noisy and rowdy place of stay, but was surprised as the Hotel is like another part of a quiet world. The room is clean and tidy - the bed sheet and pillow covers are also clean, so indeed I had a comfortable sleep. In having to go to the eateries in town, it was just another wonderful walk. The manager, Demetrius, is polite and he is spontaneous in talking about anything - sports, places, history, religion etc. He speaks candidly, is also a nice and wonderful person as surely he had been all along helpful. I am sure that he treats all guests more like a friend indeed. Utterly enjoyed my stay! - Anthony Tam, Singapore.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay on Patmos, this is the place. It's only a short walk from the harbour but away from the main town, so it feels quiet and intimate. The rooms look out onto the amazing sea view. The facilities are pretty standard but it was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The staff are also really friendly and always up for a chat and helping you out. Look no further!

I love this place, it has character and personality - the other travellers, the staff, the ancient brass window handles made perfectly in three parts... it's like a second home. Even in the off-season its filled with interesting people with great stories to tell, a great pub which loosen tongues and you discover you are next to a millionaire who also prefers this to the 5* hotel up the road.
"No atmosphere! It's like waiting for your cosmetic surgery in that place! This is real and you can be who you are" Ha!! exactly my sentiments.
The rooms are clean, the view is spectacular, there is plenty of hot water and cold air con.....but the fun is downstairs with all the people.
Beaches, town etc.... all walkable.

We have loved this hotel - We came as a family of 6 in May/June 2023. The rooms are lovely and modern and the cleaners keep them spotless with clean towels and bottles of water everyday. The pool area is kept really tidy and plenty of entertainment to get involved in. The food is great, especially at night time with a different theme every night. My daughter is 5 and has absolutely loved the kids club - they have a great room with soft play and other activities for them to get involved in, the 2 girls who run the kids club are amazing - Ayse and Yasmin they look after the children so well and they all have so much fun!

I only stayed one night on Patmos but was really sorry to leave. It’s an amazing island, really vibrant and diverse, would have liked to see more, experience more. So - if you’re island hopping like me, stay here for longer than one night!
The hotel was such a gem! Simple rooms, simple furnishings, a little outdated but that just adds to the charm, I think. Everything was so clean though and the room had space and air and light. The balcony is wonderful, the view amazing! Loved it, loved it!
And the service couldn’t have been friendlier and nicer. I want to go back! And I will. To stay longer and enjoy this island properly.

Nothing’s changed since the favourable reviews from 2020 and before.
Lovely hotel, comfortable rooms, great views, good choice at breakfast and in the bar, very amiable staff.
Feels outside the “bustle” of Patmos town while only being 200m away from the ferry terminal!

The Blue Bay Hotel was my home on Patmos for a 10 day stay. The hotel is clean and welcoming, the location peaceful and beautiful, and the owners are incredibly kind and helpful. Buffet breakfasts are included, and sitting out on the front terrace overlooking the amazingly blue waters of the harbor of Skala in the morning serenity is the perfect start to the day. I would never stay anywhere else on Patmos. The Blue Bay Hotel is literally right around the corner from the port/ferry docks and the main plaza. You will not find a better deal all around!

I found the owners to be hospitable and gracious. They were very acomadating. The rooms are neat and clean. The breakfast was fresh and filling. They were very knowledgable regarding the island and its sites. They speak perfect english for those who do not speak greek. For those who are greek orthodox, they had special insight into sites that are not in the tour books.Personally, I have stayed there twice and intend on staying there, and only there, with my next visit to this holy island.
