I recommend Skala hotel. The location is excellent, in a walking distance to harbour, market and restaurants but it has a garden and courtyard where it is quiet and peaceful. The staff is wonderfully helpful with everything. Great pool. Breakfast is from a selfservice bar, and has a wide range of dishes. It can be eaten on an outside terrace. COVID regulations in hotel (gloves at breakfast, masks) are strictly followed
It is the best in Patmos, very clean, the general manager help us in everything we needed. The breakfast was very rich and include Greece taste. The swimming pool very clean. The room is big and there is beautiful view. The location near the port is the best in Patmos.
There are many reasons why we return every year to the Hotel Skala in Patmos, and why it's consistently rated number one in Skala, the village that is the center of activities on this wonderful island. First, it's location is perfect to benefit from everything the island has to offer---and Patmos offers so much. It's got crystal-clear ,refreshing Aegean waters, different types of beach settings under the always-on sun and blue sky, majestic views over hills and from the hilltop gleaming white village of Chora with its winding streets with homes, shops, art galeries, and active restaurant and social life, as well as a UNESCO-recognized Monastery that has a central place in religious history. Add a lively town center with its own booming social life in the evening, a variety of restaurants with reasonable prices and, above all, the friendly and welcoming people of Patmos who appreciate visitors who come over by boat---either a short hop from neighboring islands or the overnight ferry from Athens with its comfortable cabins as a good option. So it's less crowded than other islands with airports and a true international clientele. It's also the people factor that make the Hotel Skala the top choice. Theo Gryllis and his staff go out of their way to please. And pleasure is what you find there. When you arrive a short walk from the ferry arrival, you find a tunnel of vivid violet bougainvilla which lead you to the calm and airy courtyard of the hotel with its salt-water pool, and terraces where you will enjoy a generous, hot and cold breakfast, both international (including warm croissants worthy of Paris, where we live:--) as well as Greek specialities. Rooms are also airy and comfortable, with sunny balconies, some of them overlooking the courtyard and the harbor nearby, with its colorful moving display of boats of all kinds, ranging from small traditional fishing boats to giant yachts. We're already planning our return stay in 2022!…
First time in Patmos. The location is excellent, walking distance to harbour, market and restaurants. The staff and owner were really lovely and helpful. The facilities were all good and clean and the breakfast was also lovely. Will come back for sure! Extra note: great pool!
We can really recommend Skala hotel on Patmos. The hotel is very centrally located but in a lush garden where it is quiet and peaceful. The staff is wonderfully helpful with everything. If any are to be prioritized, it is the fantastic ladies who cleaned our room. We have stayed here three times in the last nine years and intend to return
