This hotel is set in a lovely location, and we can't fault them for the poor weather we had while we were there, making hiking/cycling (the reason we chose the location) impossible. Had the weather been nice, the hotel grounds would have been delightful, with great views. Both dinners that we had at the restaurant were simply amazing. The staff... More

Excellent site and views (the outside dining area is second to none), good food and very friendly staff. A wonderful place to relax for a couple of days. Unfortunately the rooms, or at least ours, were dank and smelling of mold, the product of wood paneling, made worse by the fact we had to keep windows and doors closed because... More

We arrived too late for lunch (about 1:45 pm), so that we had to have only some desserts and coffee. Both the desserts (chocolate pavée, myrtille cake and apple crumble with ice cream) and the coffee were really good!! We are sorry we could not taste the cassoulette! Excellent service.

A really nice place to stay. The grassy terrace is delightful: you sit out under the trees at little tables with a great view across a wooded valley with distant snow clad peaks, and you can get served here with drinks or breakfast. We stayed in a room in the main house, big bed and spacious, en suite bathroom, very... More

Off the beaten track do not go here expecting a lively bar scene but it is situated in a beautiful place, is pretty cheap, the food and service is excellent and the pool although basic is a nice touch. Owners and staff are lovely.

We stayed here for one night while on a trip through the Pyrenees. The hotel is very easy to find, on the 'main road' and the car GPS took us there directly. Parking is opposite the hotel, on a small road island. We were welcomed warmly upon entering the bar/restaurant area, by Roberto, one of the owners. He speaks perfect... More

We payed extra for the special king room to have a romantic stay from one night off from our 1 year old. The setting with the views over the valley was lovely, and we thought the restaurant had quite good food. But that's where it ends for us. The pool looked quite abandoned and not well maintained. It was august... More

My husband and I stayed with our tiny dog for one night in late June. We journeyed down from our home in le Cantal taking only small roads so it took longer than planned (particularly when I messed up in Toulouse and we spent an hour trying to find the right route) ... this meant we were 2 hours later... The drive up to the Col des Marrous wasn't a problem and we were made very welcome. The owners immediately spotted that the room which I had booked wasn't suitable for my husband who has some mobility problems. They offered us a ground floor cabin instead. This was ideal as it had a grassy area with table and chairs outside... More

Would definitely recommend this beautiful auberge in the mountains. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was very relaxing which perfectly suited this wonderfully tranquil location. Food for both dinner and breakfast was very good value, as was the room. Will definitely come back.
