Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely fabulous. We stayed in a pod for 4 nights and it was to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. We have stayed in several others but these are by far the best. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfy bed with quality linens and rowels. Underfloor heating very effective. Ian and Hannah manage the pods and are very nice and helpful.

Stayed in the Glamping Pods on Benmore Estate and they exceeded our expectations. Immaculately clean with a comfortable bed and good cooking facilities. Lovely outdoor setting with cooking fire. Great setting for walking to the water or mountains to try to spot Deer, sea otters, eagles and plenty of other birds. We had some lovely walks and at the end of each day, nice and snug and cosy in our comfortable pod cabin. Highly recommend it.

Had a great week at the Wee Cottage, fitted the bill perfectly plenty of wildlife on the door step Fallow and Roe deer coming to the river every morning, heron and dippers also made regular appearances. Cottage had everything we needed and very cosy. On our visits to the Loch saw Sea eagles and Golden Eagles. What a way to spend your time at a leisurely pace. Wonderful place and so quiet.

We stayed in Drive Cottage which was fantastic everything in the cottage was top quality extremely comfortable bed and goose down pillows. Freesat TV comfortable sofa. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Benmore estate is situated in the centre of Mull with easy access to all areas of the island. The cleanliness and quality of this cottage is well worth the 5 stars. Sit on the raised decking and listen to the silence and look out for loads of wildlife from Deers stags eagles and much more. Spar shop in Salen is just down the road.

We stayed at Knock Cottage on the Benmore Estate last week. It was idyllic. Beautifully furnished, clean and well equipped. Lovely rural setting with golden eagles overhead, a tawny owl silently swooping around at dusk and a woodpecker nearby. The banks of Loch Na Keal, and Loch Ba, are just along the road for picnics and otter watching. Handy location being 11 miles from Tobermory, 11 miles from Craignure and access to all of the island. Scenery was stunning, the seafood incredible and the star gazing awe- inspiring, on a clear night. We thoroughly recommend Knock Cottage. (Thanks to Kim of Benmore Estate for giving us really useful tourist tips)

I visit Mull for 5 days and stayed at Knockhouse on the Benmore Estate. The location is breath taking and scenery and wildlife spectacular. I took a trip to Iona which was wonderful. The staff at Knockhouse looked after us extremely well also. A fantastic location for a break in the UK.

We have stayed in both Knock Cottage and Drive Cottage a number of times. Both cottages are in a great location, well maintained, clean, and the estate staff are very attentive to any needs you might have. We are already booked in for another few visits - says it all!

A gem of a place in the perfect location. If you want to drive, cycle or walk, this place is perfect. We walked to the nearby loch every day and saw golden eagles and sea eagles each time plus otters on four occasions. You simply need to be patient. The cottage is delightful, plenty of space and everything is provided....TV and DVD, Internet, wood for the log burner, etc. We spent many hours relaxing in the conservatory and on the raised decking area. Great place to watch the wildlife. A nice touch was the milk and biscuits upon arrival. Kimberley and her team were at hand to offer help and advice if needed. Lovely place, highly recommended.
