Last minute booking whilst driving the national tourist routes in norway. As soon as it started to get near dark done a quick search for last minute accomodation and found the ro hotel in geilo. Ok for 1 nights stay , fairly large and clean bedroom/living area but bathroom was tight but ok as we we're only staying for a...

Fairly pricey for what you get. A very basic room with small bathroom. The included breakfast was also very basic, some bread, cheese, cold meats and cereal. They did take the booking on the day. Reception doubled as the kitchen hand. Admittedly this would no doubt be a hive of activity in the ski season. The train runs behind the...

We arrived just before 7pm on a Monday which made it difficult for us to get a meal. Found a pizza place that closed at 8pm so we couldn't eat there but they served take away. The front desk staff wasn't too pleased when we brought the pizza back to the hotel and we were then told that there was...

Super location near the train station. Very basic and simple lodgings, but everything you need. The cafeteria attached is also very simple and hearty--good eating for hungry nature lovers. Showers are small, but do the job. Best part is its location in a small resort town surrounded by great hiking paths and trails of all levels. We loved Geilo and...

Spent a night in geillo to break train journey between bergen and oslo. Pleased so close to station as snow falling heavily when arrived. Ended up eating in cafe next door as most restaurants seemed closed monday evening - a bit limiting as stop serving at 6pm. Room pleasant once turned heating up a little - breakfast selection more restricted...

Cozy and cheap hotels, which is easy to find. Beds were comfortable, and the room clean. Many of the Geilo inhabitants that we spoke to, told us that the the hotel might not be the nicest or the most popular in the resort, but it was affordable and a hotel that nobody leaves unsatisfied from. I can understand why. It...

Stayed over the Christmas New Year break. Perfect location if arriving by train. 10 minute walk to the slopes, 30 seconds to the train station, 10 seconds to the best restaurant in town. I was very pleased. Cosy set up, great view form the bedroom, decent breakfast, friendly helpful staff. I heartily recommend this spot. its not five star but...

It is not difficult to find the hotel as the town is not very large. Free parking facilities are in front of the hotel, no security but the crime statistic is still low. This is a family driven hotell and you cannot expect the service level to be as for an hotel chain but the owner who was the only...

Cheap accomodation and convenient location are in favour of this hotel. Very basic standard and a bad smell in the corridors are disadvantages. My room was quite spacy, and the breakfast was all right. In conclusion, you get whar you pay for.

You get what you pay for. It's a good location at a good price. Hotel facilities are basic but that was fine. The breakfast (a buffet) was good with plenty of chance to go back for seconds (or thirds!). If your just looking for a place to get your head down then this should do nicely
