We stayed one night in the low season so the hotel was pretty much empty, which was great! We had the tiny (10 meters long) swimming pool and sauna for ourselves. There was not a great selection at breakfast, but it is understandable in the low season. Beautiful view over the lake and mountains, quiet surrounding, yet only a short... More

Feeling peaceful looking at the lake view from the back balcony. Room is very spacious with 2 bedrooms for 3 adults. There is kitchenette and living sofa that leads to the back balcony. The breakfast was good & it feels resort like more than hotel surroundings. Winter maybe different as we were there in autumn. Love it

I stayed at this hotel in June, so of course I didn't ski. But it was just what I wanted, clean and safe and not a lot of money. I had a single room, but it had two beds. Nice and comfy. Was able to open the windows for fresh air. View was beautiful. Free Wifi is always nice to... More

Bathroom floor is heated, but no heating in the room. TV has limited channels. Breakfast is ok. No tea/ coffee in room. Enjoyed our stay due to location, reminded... More

A classic view of the ski slope. Great buffet breakfast and dinner . We stayed for one night only and have no complains. There is no milk creamer in the room but reception was helpful. We got a six room apartment and it is SPACIOUS! Good choice for skiers but since I was there in summer cannot provide comments in... More

We were booked at Ustedalen Hotel but due to overbooking, they transferred us to Geilo Gaarden which is about 5-10 minute walk from Ustedalen. They provided two free dinners for our group in compensation. We arrived at 3 PM in the afternoon but had to wait another 30 minutes because the room wasn't ready for some reason. No extra effort... Nice place to stay. The food is okay it was buffet style. Not alot of fruit for breakfast. Seems to be the norm here in Norway. It was clean and quiet. Just stayed over night. The town is beautiful and lots of things to see.. They did have tv and wifi.

Spent Christmas here and it was lovely. There was 10 of us in a massive apartment. Lovely view from balcony (see picture) swimming pool and sauna, ski and boot store within hotel and the ski shuttle bus stops at the hotel so easy transport to either ski resorts. Definitely recommend

The location of rooms commands major attraction of town. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from railway station and bazaar area. Rooms are spacious and tidy. Centrally heating is provided. Dinning hall furniture and fixtures are of high quality.
