Detailed Reviews
Just home from a lovely 4 night stay on this beautiful site with our 3 girls and dog. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the caravan was spotless and had everything we needed including a lovely sunny veranda with furniture. The setting is just amazing and it's only a 5 minute walk into the lovely village and only a 10 minute drive to Grimston Bar park and ride for a short 10 minute bus ride into the centre of York. The beds were so comfortable too we will definitely be back soon!!

We had a fantastic stay in the Minster van. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were shown to our home for the week. The park is in a great setting and really is only a 5 minute walk in to the village. The village is well setup with a co-op, 2 bakers, a fantastic butchers and a deli. There are also 2 pubs and a bistro. The No 10 bistro was absolutely excellent. We normally like to try different places but the food and service was so good we ended up eating there 3 times. I highly recommend the Sunday roast, burger and prawn linguine.
We visited York which was an easy 20 minute drive, Bridlington, Goathland/Pickering/Malton. All lovely places to wander round. We also spent a very enjoyable and interesting few hours at Camp Eden which was about 40 mins away. This was a fantastic short break.

Buyers beware the guy is a rip off merchant twice I sold my caravan for market value only for him to put off the buyers so he could get more out of it. The place is not the same without David, Michael, Steve and Jennie. No personal touch anymore.

Just had a lovely little break at this well kept park, our carvan was in a lovely location right overlooking the River Derwent, very clean ,comfortable and had everything you need for your holiday. A few minutes walk into the local village that has Co-op, butchers, bakers, chemist takeaways, bistro and couple of pubs. Ideal location for visiting York. Very friendly owners and staff on site, we are looking forward to visiting again.

A quiet & peaceful place to stay, in a beautiful setting with canal one side & the weir on the other. Excellent wi-fi which is a real asset to have on a caravan stay holiday, thank-you for that. 20 minutes from York & within easy reach of many beautiful places to visit in Yorkshire, l would highly recommend a stay here

We have just got back from a wonderful 7 day stay at Weir Holiday park. We stayed in a 3 bed caravan and were so impressed with how comfortable it was. It's the first time I've stayed away from home and had a bed as comfy, if not more comfortable, than my own. The caravan was so clean and fresh, well equipped and spacious. The park itself is beautifully maintained and incredibly quiet with friendly helpful staff! The location is great, in a quiet village with a nice bakers, butchers and co op, as well as a couple of good quality tea rooms. So near York, with the Grimston Bar Park and ride only a 10 minute drive. We will definitely be returning here, its an absolute gem!

We arrived slightly earlier than the 4pm arrival time but it seemed to be ok, we were greeted very pleasantly. After booking in we were taken to our van, we were definitely not disappointed.
The caravan was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need .
The site is lovely and quiet just what we needed to recharge our batteries
It is only a 5 minute walk to catch the number 10 bus into York
There is a small Co op for any bits you might need.
Would definitely recommend the Three Cups pub for a meal its about a 10 minute from the site

Quiet and peaceful. Lovely, clean and comfortable static caravan. The park is on an island surrounded by a river and canal. Very handy for York, the North Yorkshire Moors and the East coast of Yorkshire.

We arrived at the Park to a lovely reception from the Lady who runs it. She showed us to the apartment we hired for the Easter weekend , which was fabulous with 3 bedrooms, a double with ensuite, two twin rooms, separate large bathroom , good size open plan living, dining, kitchen area. Towels and bedding are supplied. Outside you have a private car parking space. The park itself isn't huge which is nice. The weir runs through the park which was just lovely, with ducks and geese to feed . There isn't anything on the park itself, but literally a few minutes walk is Stamford Bridge village, which although small, does have two pubs, a restaurant, café, co-op, gift shop, pizza, Chinese, indian and fish and chip takeaways, even a chemist. To get into York, we would highly recommend using the bus stop in the village as it takes you straight into York itself via quite a nice scenic route. We will go back one day.
