Very efficient Check-in and Check-out as the items inside the fridge are complimentary. The staff at the Oriental resto for b'fast and the x'mas dinner were pretty attentive and we also had a pleasant experience with their security and hk staff. Grab can drop-off at the lobby but you have to 'grab' one from outside the main road at the vehicle exit point of the hotel driveway.

B'fast items, although in variety are not of quality standards as compared to hotels in Thailand, which is inclusive in the room pricing. Same for their X'mas Dinner! Good location, and to Grand Batam Mall is only about S$2.50 where you can cross the road to A2 foodcourt and BCS mall. Taxi from Batam Center to hotel is standard at 70K IDR if you don't want to lug your bags to the roundabout outside which is a distance away. Overall, a pleasant stay!

Very basic and old hotel. When we arrived the room at level 5 on 16 Dec, it has unpleasant smell like woody and damp. Even their tap water has this smell. After switching on the AC, the room is better. The furnish is old. Lights in the room are very dim. I keep on searching for lights which I have not switch on so that I can arrange my luggage. Another thing is the kettle is filled with water, not sure hotel staff filled or left by the previous guest.

Like others, very few power point and one of them not even spoilt.

Breakfast is good and convenient to Nagoya Hill mall.

We booked 4-rooms and hotel helped put us all on the same level with 2 sets inter-connecting rooms. Rooms were of good size, 2 twin beds and comfortable with pillow selection and non-carpet flooring. Can be noisy if facing the main road with motorcycle revving their engine coming down the hilly road. Swimming pool, sauna and good WiFi in hotel. Nagoya Hill Mall is just behind the hotel. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good with a wide spread of local and Asian fare. Feels dated with the room wooden fittings and the toilet does not fit together well; toilet seat cover too small for the WC and low water pressure.

I was supposed to go to Batam but unfortunately COID-19 happened. Since travelling was not allowed, I have to cancel the ferry and hotel bookings. Batam Fast was very accommodative by extending our bookings to end of the year. However, emails after emails to Nagoya Hills Hotel proved to be the worst experience that I have ever encountered. Am I at fault for not able to stay there? Why can't they extend the booking validity till end of the year as well like other organisations? Truely, they are unfit to work in the hospitality since there's no empathy or compassion. Seriously, I hope the management will fo down the drain!

First time visiting this hotel. Reception staff are friendly and are able to speak in English. Checking in was a breeze, I got a non-smoking room on level 10. We have to put a deposit of 500,000 rp ($44)

The room is comfortable, big and clean and they have an Android TV. The aircon is cooling.
Buffet breakfast wow! Big spread of local dishes, they have and array of bread, local Kueh etc. Checking out was a breeze too. We paid 95,000rp ($8.42) to have the hotel to sent us to Batam center. My husband met the friendly GM Mr Seah and he advised us to take ferry from harbour bay and booked directly with them much cheaper. Definitely will come again.

Signs of aging and poor maintenance is showing up. There was a stain on the bed runner and some sort of sticky residue on the sofa on the first day we checked in- yikes! Housekeeping was prompt to remove them. Conveniently located next to the Nagoya Hill mall via a sheltered walkway from the 2nd floor of the hotel. Easy to get to other malls such as Grand Batam mall and a short fide from the Batam Centre ferry terminal. Breakfast spread was good with a selection of Chinese, Incontinental and Indonesian cuisine. If you are sick of the mall, cross the road and you can get to the 168 food court which is an open air place with stalls of food. Pretty worth a try!

Won't say it is worth a 4 star rating given its condition but the location wins hands down.

Linked to Nagoya Hill Mall via level 2. At the mall, you have money changers, Matahari Dept store, Hypermart, local food at food street, A&W, KFC, etc. Surrounding Nagoya Hill Mall are Eska Wellness Spa where you can go for massage, Rejuv Massage and reflexology and few others.
Staff at hotel are very pleasant and polite. Duty Manager Bpk Eko is very helpful and accommodating. Made our stay a very satisfying one.
Rooms- very clean. Towels are changed daily. Free mineral water and packet of snack. Air conditioning was good.
Grand Batam Mall is just an 8 min drive away.

Getting away from the National Day chaos, booked the hotel for 4 nights. Very impressed with the cleanliness. Staff there was great. Kudos to front office staff Ms Dwiayu. The bfast buffet was varied and delicious. BUT what was great was the convenience from this hotel to anywhere. Food? Just a couple of minutes walk away. Shopping? Just use the back entrance to the 1 minute walk away Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. Spas? You will be spoilt for choice here.

Although still recovering from the pandemic and its lockdowns. Batam is slowly picking up to its pace pre-Covid as can be experienced by the vast number of shops and foodstalls open and ready for patronage along the streets.

It is a blessing and a not so nice thing to have good location like this hotel has. I was not thrilled that I did not sleep due to noises from the streets. The meeting room users were loud and I could hear them talking and walking down the corridor.

The hotel room is not well maintained, faucets are rusty, vanity tables are not wiped down, there are left over crumbles. The windows cant be shut properly, therefore the motor sound enter the room, causing sleepless night.

We had a connecting room (not requested for) and we then only know how terrible the soundproofing was.

Does the hotel has wheelchair access rooms?
Answer from Siti M
Singapore, Singapore5 contributions6 helpful votes
I have stayed in the hotel at least 6 times, since it started operations. I have never come across a room which is handicapped friendly. I have also not seen any guests on wheelchairs there. Technically, the rooms entrance, toilet entrance and space are wide enough for wheelchair access. But there is no grab bars in the toilet or wide enough space for wheelchair in the toilet itself or even the shower area.
