We arrived as a party of four and had two rooms booked with sea views and this is exactly what we got and more. We were expertly greeted and given orange juice, which was a nice touch. Our rooms were not ready as we had an early flight, it was not a problem though as we went off

Very pleasant ambience (if they could turn down the brightness a notch it’d be even better) for a nightcap. Good selection of beverages on offer and the desserts are not too bad either. Reasonably priced for a 5* hotel. Recommended.

We believe there was but we spent 1 week in a timeshare apartment & 1 week in a deluxe room. If there wasn't, they are very obliging & would soon provide one.

I would say yes there is a short ten minute walk downhill (uphill on way back) which takes you to local shops, bars and bowling alley and cinema. Also right beside a bus stop which will take you anywhere on the island and you never have to wait long. We went in December with an 11 and 7 year and had no problems at all with the location

If you love pre-history, I would recommend to first visit some of the neolithic temples found around the island. Tarxien Temples, Imnajdra and Hagar Qim in Qrendi. Also not far from Tarxien Temples you will find the underground complex of Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum which is an underground prehistoric burial site. This site is very interesting due to the murial which depicts the tree of life. Tickets for the Hypogeum have to be booked well in advance from the internet as they don't admit more than a specific number of visitors. Next you may visit the Three Cities of Vittoriosa (Birgu), Cospicua (Bormla) and Senglea (L-Isla). Birgu was the city which was chosen by the Knights of St John as their home when they came here in 1530. If you visit Birgu you must go to the Inquisitor's Palace, the Parish Church of St Lawrence and the Maritime Museum. Rabat and Mdina are a must see. Go and see the Museum of Roman Antiquities or as popularly known as the Roman Villa just outside Mdina. This Museum illustrates life in Malta during the Roman period. The site of the Museum itself was the villa of a noble Roman family. Mdina the old medieval capital is a must see and you will be enchanted by its narrow streets. The Museum of Natural History, the Cathedral and the Cathedral Museum which includes some very interesting collections are well worth a visit. Most collections date back to the Knights. Also the Norman House. Proceed through its main street and go and enjoy the view of Malta from the Belvedere. In the outskirts of Mdina you will find Rabat where there are also two catacombs, namely that of St Paul and the other of St Agatha. While you're here go to St Paul's Grotto where it is believed that the saint stayed for 3 months after his shipwreck on the shores of Malta. The baroque city of Valletta, which is the capital, and which was built by the Knights of St John has a lot to offer. You must not miss St John's co-cathedral with its unique interior. Next to it is the Cathedral Museum which houses the reknowned painting of the beheading of St John by Italian artist Caravaggio. Inside this Museum you will also find old church vestments and the famous tapestries. The Grand Master's Palace would be the next stop where you will find the Office of the President of Malta. Parts of the building, namely the Palace State Rooms and the Palace Armoury, are open to the public. If you want to see a 16th century noble family home go and visit Casa Rocca Piccola, also in Valletta but if you prefer to see the Maltese war experience I recommend you go to the War Museum. For shopping and dining Sliema and St Julians are probably the top, with lots of restaurants, cafes and shops. From the Sliema Ferries you can book a day excursion for Comino and the Blue Lagoon. I recommend you book with Captain Morgan Cruises. A buffet lunch is also included in the price. Another day has to be spent in Gozo. Small in its size but rich in history, Gozo cannot be overlooked. Go to Victoria (Rabat) and visit the old city in a city - the Cittadella. The beaches of Ramla l-Hamra (which translates into 'red sand'), Marsalforn and Xlendi are all beautiful. Since you are coming during the summer you will experience a Maltese festa. May you enjoy yourselves on our islands!
