The room was a nice size but very tired it had many chips and marks and on oddly had not need refurbished for sometime The shower was dodgy and the air con didn’t work and was very noisy In the end they wanted 70euros a night to update to the same room but on a higher floor that was in better condition and breakfast In the end we settled for €40 a night for a better room and use of the lounge. I feel I should not have to pay more (booked on a BA holiday ) to get a room in reasonable condition especially as it’s supposed to be a five star hotel But position is great and nice view of the pools etc even in the new room the air conditioning doesn’t work and the shower is not a power shower and is hard to regulate the temperature. The staff are all very friendly. We had breakfast on the first day which was to a high standard. You could order eggs any way which will be cooked for you. On the 3rd day we decided to hire a car from the hotel. The car was in bad condition and when driving it we thought we were going to break down, . We had to get that changed . It felt unsafe to drive. We did very much enjoy our holiday it was such a shame that the standard of the rooms could have been higher and even when we paid to upgrade it wasn’t really up to what I would expect of a 5 star .

Hotel's Favourite
Just home after a week's stay at the Corinthia Hotel, St Julians and the only word to describe it is "AMAZING"! Everything from checkin to checkout was superb. The staff here work so hard to make your stay so special - nothing is too much. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of food which was always fresh and well presented. There are about 8 restaurants in the hotel and we ate in most of them. The food was top class and service was always with a smile. Very reasonably priced - food and alcohol. Our favourite was Le Café for a light lunch during the day and a drink before bed........great staff with whom we always had a good laugh. The room was beautiful. Bed was extremely comfortable and pillows were amazing. The power shower was very refreshing after a day by the pool. Air conditioning worked brilliantly and wasn't too noisy. Lovely balcony overlooking the pool area with sea view. The pools and spa were absolutely top notch. On our last day while walking round I found a children's pool that was completely deserted......a great find for anyone with small children. We both had treatments in Dee's Spa and I highly recommend paying a visit. Definitely a 10 out of 10 for The Corinthia Hotel........we will definitely return.

Stopped for 7 nights for our 40th wedding anniversary in a executive room , We got a upgrade to a junior suite room 514 which had 2 balconies and beautiful sea views , Breakfast was amazing and all the staff were lovely especially in the executive lounge, Beers and wine all day with lovely snacks , no mad rush for sunbeds as plenty of them , brilliant location, comfy beds and a great air con system, We did get in touch prior to our arrival and had nice treats in our room on arrival , Thank you Mazlan . Overall a fantastic stay and well worth the price paid and we will come back .

The hotel is strategically located in St. Julian’s, near the beaches and center where one could shop and dine, and experience night life. The facility services are nice and convenient. They have swimming pools with various depth, gym and spa to stay fit and healthy during the holiday. The staff in the reception and the cleaning staff are hospitable. They never fail to ask your stay needs and fulfill your requests. Its restaurant, Fra Martino serves healthy and delicious breakfast with various selections. Analisa and her team are courteous and accommodating. They consistently asked if everything is going fine and offered drinks and choices. Analisa also shared some tour tips, for example, places to visit around the island, and better route and affordable transportation to take. Corinthia Hotel St. George’s Bay is recommendable. Book now your accommodation and experience it by yourself.

Attended an evening sports function, with over 100 people in one of their downstairs function rooms. The table settings were clean, the food buffet was tremendous with a huge variety of dishes (I had four platefuls) and waitress service was professional and attentive. The adjoins bar was well staffed with reasonable prices. Although only attended as an evening guest, I imagine the high standard applies to hotel and dining guests also.

I’m really not sure if the people reviewing this hotel have actually stayed in a 5* hotel before because the reviews are way off. If this hotel was a 3 or 4 star I’d say it was very good/excellent, but it’s claiming to be five stars so that’s how I’ll judge it. First, only 2 members of staff stood out, Brian a concierge and Susan a trainee at breakfast. Brian because he was the only concierge to approach us and speak to tell us about the local Good Friday parades. The other concierges failed to offer any assistance, help with taxis, luggage or even open a door! Susan always had a smile on her face and tried constantly to help guests arriving for breakfast and find them a suitable table etc, despite disorganised chaos and management in suits failing to direct or instruct the team to carry out the most basic of tasks, more on that later. So, why isn’t this a five star hotel? Rooms- we had a deluxe sea view that was tired and dated, lacking the now necessary usb sockets and or bedside plugs. The decorations were of low quality, the aircon was noisy and ineffective, and the toiletries were not of a ‘brand’ And it smelled of a sewer! We did report this and noticed an increase in the use of air freshener each day. Breakfast- the choice is limited to a UK/european taste only. The hot food was never more than warm, there is no egg station, the pastries are very limited and sit under a red light pretending they are warm…they are not. But the thing that really lets the breakfast down is when asking for a tea or coffee you are pointed to a machine!!! No no no, at a 3* yes, but not in a 5* hotel! All it needs is a cafeteria placed on the table when sitting down or a teapot and life would be so much simpler and you wouldn’t have queues of people blocking an already tight buffet space. Spa - rude unhelpful staff. Why do you charge a 10 euros deposit to hotel guests for a locker key? Insisting it’s cash! Who carries cash to an indoor pool??? Cheap tacky hotels do, not 5*. Bar service- slow, play hunt the barmen, then toss a coin if he will bring a bowl of crisps/savouries with your drink or not. It’s not that I wanted them, I just want consistency! So, to finish off, stop calling yourself 5 stars and be a good 3 or 4.

Very polite staff throughout the hotel, from, front desk, breakfast, housekeeping and spa. Hotel spotlessly clean. Room a little tired but had what we needed. Breakfast choice didn't vary over the week and not so great for vegetarians/vegans but we still enjoyed it, particularly sitting outside in the sun. Would have liked more information on check in regarding facilities including spa and lunch options. Weather was warm but outdoor pools still very cool, indoor pool is heated but very small and shared with another hotel so whole spa area got quite busy and loud. Not all the restaurants were open and hard to get a drink by the pool during the day. Appreciate it is out of season but we'd have definitely spent a lot more money if the other options were open, as the ones that were open again weren't the best for vegetarians. Bonus to being early in the season was that the outdoor areas were quiet and relaxing, no rush for sun loungers etc. Overall we would go back, hotel has a nice vibe, close to town but far enough out to enjoy the peace and quiet.
