Period 1-8 January 2024. 3 adults.
Small room for 3 adults although with everything you need: safe, slippers, hairdryer, kettle, minibar, TV.
Bathroom divided into two distinct areas on one side toilet and bidet in room with a window , on the other side shower and sink, bathroom kit provided and good.
Beautiful, bright and spacious lobby given the period set up with Christmas decorations, large TV and seating, elevator to the floors since the hotel consists of a building overlooking a rather narrow street. On the top floor outdoor pool which, given the period we only photographed.
Above the lobby breakfast room, well maintained , clean and with a wide range of food, particular the ''pastizzi'' typical Maltese food.
The only note is to refer to the garage that is located under the hotel, small and especially very complicated to descend because of narrow slide and full of curves.
Staff at reception friendly and courteous.
The hotel is located in an area full of places to have lunch or dinner, offers a discount for a restaurant in agreement that we tried with paicere for 2 nights.
Overall satisfied with the choice made

This is an excellent hotel that is punching above its rating.

My double room was quite small with a separate toilet and shower but it was well-equipped and comfortable. There was a small balcony that I could see the sea from, so that was a bonus.

The room was kept spotless and even when I didn't ask for service, fresh towels were left outside the door for me each day to pick up on my return.

There's a roof-top bar and pool which is a nice place to wind-down at the end of the day.

The breakfast was quite varied and decent although it got a little busy and the single coffee machine often had a queue.

The hotel is in a good location with everything nearby including local buses and shops etc.

The decor is modern and smart. This is a really nice hotel and I wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

We spent 4 nights at the Valentina hotel in a superior room.
The hotel is located 15/20 minutes from the airport by car. You can ask the hotel to send a taxi to meet you at the airport for €25. We finally took an Uber/Bolt for the same price (it varies depending on the timetable but between 10 and 25 max), Vtcs work well in Malta and avoid discussions with taxis who don't have a meter, and that's it. is often cheaper.
The hotel is located in a quiet little alley in the lively St Julian's district. In two minutes on foot you are in the hustle and bustle of Paceville, with plenty of good restaurants in the area and for all budgets.
The hotel is really very clean, you will notice it when you arrive in the corridors which always smell very good.
Our room was as shown in the photos and sufficiently spacious. We had a balcony but I had specified this when booking and it depends on the occupancy and the period. The economy rooms look less nice and have a small window facing the wall, but it might do the trick for another type of stay.
The breakfast is quite good, we find the classic sweet and savory ones, you shouldn't be too demanding on the quality of the products like the juices but we ate well.
The staff is rather nice and discreet.
A charming lady is available in the lobby every morning to book activities for you and frankly it's super practical to have all the explanations. We booked the passes for the tourist bus there (nice way to visit the island although the logistics are sometimes average, buses late, stops difficult to find...) at the same price as everything I had seen on trip, so take advantage of it, you will save time.
No restaurant but partnership with L'Avenue located a minute away where you can eat everything and it's very good.
We didn't take advantage of the swimming pool but went up to see, the pool is superb and new but the terrace is small and the view is not great although exotic on the surrounding buildings.
Area under construction out of season like almost everywhere in Malta but we were not bothered.
The hotel is not perfect (no socket in the bathroom, you have to dry your hair in the room…) but it is really a good address and good value for money if you are looking for a clean, pretty and well located hotel. .

We stayed for two nights. Both the room and the bathroom are clean and comfortable. The hotel is located close to the nightlife of Paceville but from our room, during the night, we could not hear any noise; its location is convenient both for the proximity to bus stops and for walking to St Julien and Sliema. The breakfast is great, there is plenty of variety but also to find the classic Italian breakfast. A strong point is definitely the rooftop and the pool, where you can have an aperitif looking at the sea. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We want to say a special thank you to Marina for her kindness and to Romero for his cocktails and sympathy.
For a future trip to Malta, we will already know where to return!

The hotel is beautiful with a lovely reception, foyer, dining room and rooftop pool. All public areas were clean and welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable with excellent beds and bathrooms which are well stocked with good quality toiletries. We had 2 superior rooms with balconies and they were modern, light and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The area is ideal for bars and restaurants and you can have a lively night 2-3 minutes North, or a quieter posh evening 5 minutes South. We weren’t bothered by noise. Spinola Bay to the South is a nice area for eating and drinking. You can walk to Sliema in about 45-60 minutes which is a great shopping area, and then pop over to Valletta on the cheap and regular ferry. It’s a great hotel for families with teenagers or couples.

Just got home after an 11 night stay at Hotel Valentina and it was perfect. It’s the 4th time we have stayed and will definitely be staying again.
When we checked in we had a welcome drink of Prosecco or orange juice. We stayed in a junior suite and can’t fault it. It was very spacious and light with 2 balconies. It was spotless and cleaned everyday and towels replaced daily, however you can opt to have the towels changed every other day which means you get 10% off your food/drink bill.
You also get given a 10% discount card for The Avenue which is a lovely restaurant a couple of minutes walk away.
The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice; toast, full English, fruit, cereal, pastries, cakes, cheese, salad, meat, bread rolls, tea, coffee, juices and a coffee machine.
The rooftop pool was amazing. Plenty of sun beds with umbrellas and a pool bar.
All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made our stay perfect!

Currently staying at Valentina. Excellent hotel, way beyond its 3* rating. Economy room is clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and attentive. Good range of food at breakfast. The location is great, right in the middle of Paceville but far enough from the clubs to be quiet at night and near to Ross bus stop so you can get to anywhere on the island. Rooftop pool is great but the bar was closed as it’s late in the season, but you can call the bar downstairs and they will bring drinks up to the roof. Big shout out to Sofia for looking after our room and all the breakfast staff for providing a gluten free option every morning. Well done Hotel Valentina! 601

we found this hotel on the BA website but managed to book it directly through the hotel website . great value at about 65 euros per night for a king sized bed - yes the rooms are small but we were only in them to leave our luggage and sleep ! the rooms were big enough and we also had a balcony . it is in a built up area so not great views but not a problem - 2 great restaurants almost next door ( a Vietnamese one called Viet Net and an Italian called Santini - both highly recommended by us !) the bed was extremely comfortable and there was an iron and a fridge too. very cleaning tidy everywhere . the staff were extremely helpful too ...cant possibly fault it ...also near enough to walk to local buses and the tour buses and a lovely marina nearby called Potomaso ..would definitely stay here again

We were part of a large group (67) staying at this hotel. All of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The catering staff at breakfast were helpful and attentive ensuring the breakfast buffet looked delicious and fresh. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Malta and looking forward to returning soon with my husband. A special mention to Francesca, Lisa,Jelenka and Tajinder but all the staff were amazing 😊

Every weekday from 7am to 6pm they do renovation work with jackhammers and cranes. A nightmare, if you want to rest leave this hotel alone for at least this year. If you want to feel good, go to the hotel bar and talk to the waiter Antonio, a wonderful person, very kind and always attentive. We paid a thousand € to leave the room at 7 in the morning and return at 7 in the evening. Shameful!!! When we asked for explanations, in addition to being rude, they told us that it's not their fault.

Hi sorry for the late reply. My view was that of the village. I do not think there are any seaview rooms but you have to check that out with the hotel. To be honest we did not use the balcony that much. It was cold when we rented the room and so we preferred to stay cosy inside. However we did go outside once and for me it was a not again experience - due to the fact that even though it was outside, everything reeked of cigarettes and I really hate the smell.
