Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went to the Boogie Bingo. It a fairly fun night but It was spoilt by the volume of the host screeching at us all night. We could hear you! Next time please turn the volume down so we can also speak to our friends and not come away with ringing in our ears. I liked the concept though.

"I had an amazing time at the Village hotel. We organized a party a while ago, and it was absolutely amazing from the start. I received lots of help from a lovely lady named Magda; she assisted me in organizing my birthday. She was incredibly helpful, guiding me in choosing all the best options. I was amazed by her knowledge and support. Thank you again, Magda. Additionally, our stay at the hotel was delightful. The room was very nice and clean, and the breakfast was delicious. We requested some extras, and the chef Peter prepared something amazing for us. Everyone at the hotel was very nice, and we had an amazing time. Thank you very much, Village hotel. I'm sure we'll be back soon !!!

Went to Boogie Bingo at Bracknell. Drinks very expensive. Bingo calling so loud my ears hurt. Prizes weren't worth winning. Some people left before all the games were played. Couldn't hear the numbers being called as Bingo caller was shrieking all the time. I won't be going back there.

We arrived after a busy day at Lego lane and was unable to park . We drove up and down and around for 20 minutes trying to park , eventually we had to just double park and warn reception. Reception team were lovely and welcoming and helped check us in on tablets and make room key. We arrived in our room , room was clean and beds were clean but cups and spoons were definitely washed up in the sink as you could see the towel and wipe marks on it (yuk) ! .. all we could hear was the base from the gym studio downstairs which was very annoying and not relaxing at all. We got ready and went out for tea, by time we had returned the music/base had stopped. Showers were amazing and hot and beds were very comfy and slept all night however - we were then woken up at 6:15 in the morning by a class taking place in the studio and the base was ridiculous!! I had to go down to reception to ask where it was coming from ?! They apologised and we both went to the gym reception to ask them to turn it down which I was told it would be . I went back up to my room to find it definitely hadn’t been turned down so went back downstairs again to say it’s still the same and for a reply from the gym reception saying “yeah it’s being done now “ so off I go back upstairs again to find again it definitely hadn’t been . I went back down a 3rd time to be then told my the AM gym receptionist there was nothing she could do and she said the main reception man who was helping me that he can go and ask for it to be turned down .. I was fuming at this point and said you can’t even start on a building site until 8am let alone at 6:15 in a hotel .. Gym reception said it’s hard cause the hotel and gym is separate which I replied yeah under the same roof for Village (great team work!) .. she then went on to say I no what it’s like when you want the kids to stay in abit later in the morning I have kids myself . I said your joking aren’t you , you don’t expect that coming away in a hotel to be woken up by it. Music/base finished because the class had finished. I would say if your booking as a family avoid and choose another hotel !

When you check in and the manager drags the person helping you to assist someone else. Then ordering food they do not understand the difference between a side and a starter. Then they say that the main course will come out straight away and you’ve eaten the starter before it comes and then it takes the length of the time for all of your food to go totally cold before they ask you if it is ok. Just chilling before waiting to check out and go home. Just about heading off of chain hotels with the focuses on finances and not on the customers… Bentley the bar manager once he realised I was not happy come over and spoke to me but at that point I was done.. sitting here having a glass lemonade waiting for a desert to come out. Then I’ve got to drive home and drive back here tomorrow to then get a VAT receipt. No Happy

There was no hot water during the evening when we stayed. We did report this to the front desk and he suggested it was hotel wide (boiler problem maybe?). No ETA for resolution was suggested. 2 hours later, still no solution. He offered that we could shower in the gym which was on a different hot water system. Whilst this would be ok for a solo traveller maybe, it’s not really workable for a family with kids in the evening. Nor ultimately is using shared bathroom facilities what i paid for. No other solution or compensation was offered, for the record. This is a shame as in these scenarios usually a token offering for the inconvenience and many of us would accept that these things do occasionally happen. However, it’s important to feed these points back to the wider Tripadvisor group in case there are recurring problems.

The room isn’t huge and I was overlooking the extractor fan but really comfy, nice bed linen and I slept really well. The rooms and clean and new which makes you feel like it’s good value for money at £79! I didn’t eat there but there were quite a few options and Starbucks on site

When we arrived at The Village Hotel Bracknell we were warmly welcomed at the door (forgot the lady's name) and my girls were both given a welcome pack, a lovely little touch which made my girls feel special. The self check-in was very easy to navigate but help was on hand if needed. Our room was very clean and had 2 double beds for a family of 4; 2 adults and 2 kids. There was plenty of space for us all and we didn't feel cramped whatsoever which was ideal as we were staying for 3 nights. I loved having the added benefit of the ESPA soap, shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom! Really nice touch. The beds were really comfortable too; we all had a great night's sleep each night. The breakfast was fab each morning, with a selection of food to choose from; cooked breakfast, cereals, croissants, fruit and yoghurt. This certainly set us up for our day ahead. We also choose to eat dinner 2 nights of our stay which was also tasty. Our girls loved being able to play the foosball table while we waited on our food. The bar area was fun to be in and gad a great little buzz about it. We had booked this hotel as it is in a great position for the areas we wanted to visit on our mini-break; Windsor Castle, Harry Potter Studios and Legoland. Driving down from Glasgow they were all within an hours drive away from the hotel which was perfect for us! The only downside for us was that our girls wanted to go swimming after 1 of our days out but children aren't allowed in the pool after 5pm. We had found that there is a local swimming pool nearby, Coral Reef, which we paid a visit too instead. Thank you The Village Bracknell for a wonderful stay! We will definitely be recommending your hotel to our family and friends and will hopefully get back ourselves to visit again!

Booked to stay here for a trip to legoland and had to leave. Booked in to room 124 and no heating, drafty and cold so reported at 5pm. 8.45pm still waiting on being acknowledged despite numerous more messages. Approx 8pm strong smell of weed in our room...opened door onto corridor and WOW knocked you for 6!! As we have an autistic, asthmatic son with vocal cord palsy no way were we prepared to let him inhale that. We were practically eating it. Decided to leave as the 3 hour drive home was definitely better than the alternative!! Spoke to reception and we got was I'm sorry about that. Sat in car on way home now and can smell weed on my clothing if that is acceptable then we will definitely not be staying in any village hotel again.
