It looked like building work was going on when I pulled up outside. Had to go to the pub over the road to check in (the cleaners told me this; this was on the confirmation email, but we didn't read that very closely. If this could be highlighted in some way, that would be an improvement). On entering the twin room which I booked for me and my daughter, the room was very small with no storage space. We went back to the pub to ask for a bigger room. The new room was bigger but very scruffy and outdated - it did have a fridge and a wardrobe, which were improvements on the previous room. There was no-one on-site, if you had a problem you had to ring the pub. There were no breakfast facilities, not even at the pub.

I have stayed in small guest houses a lot and, on average, for the quality of offering, have paid £30-£38 per night. Here, I was charged £60 per night.

While I was not expecting too much, there were many key, completely avoidable factors that let this place down.

- mould along the shower sealant
- noisy fridge throughout the night
- limescale in the kettle
- marks all over the walls
- broken lamp shade
- hot water takes 5 minutes to come through into a low-flowing, mouldy shower head.

On top of these very basic faults that could easily have been corrected and fixed, there was an air about the place that made it feel like it was uncared for and left to rot.

Beds squeezed into a tiny room, unmatching furniture that didn't fit properly, old microwave that had seen better days, rotten sealant along the sink, dirt along pipework.

A couple of things that saved it from 1* were that the beds were clean and the price includes breakfast (although at a weekend this is a porridge pot, alpen bar and juice box in a bag in the room)

Someone had a house going spare so thought they would make some money rather than someone with a passion for the service industry.

I would not stay here again and certainly would not recommend it to anyone.

The room (number 5) was clean and quite large, with a bathroom which had everything required, but nothing felt remotely comnfortable. TV was OK, but there were no instructions for facilities or for the free WiFi, as had been advised at check in. Check In takes place at the Admiral Cunningham, where meals and breakfast are served. Breakfast was OK, but nobody had remembered to open the door to the Cunningham so I had to wait outside and bang on doors. Route from Inn to Pub is along an alleyway, which goes alongside a community centre, Church and car park. Not a very nice area. Very limited tea and coffee tray available and a microwave seems to be in there as well - not tried. Not particularly cheap all things being considered. Not recommended

The photographs I saw before booking turned out to be of the Admiral Cunningham pub across the road. This is a big house converted into small bedrooms with ensuites. We arrived to find what looked like a abandoned property, no one there you have to go to the pub to get the keys. The room wasn't ready but someone let us in & sent for a cleaner. She did her best & seemed embarrassed, I was too. We could not believe the state of the property, chipped paint on every wall & skirting. When we entered room 7 I was in tears at the state of the filthy marked carpet and the holes in the bathroom door (made by a foot?). The bathroom shower had black mould in all corners & didn't work properly, neither did the taps. The w.c cistern took half an hour to fill back up. Where you were supposed to fill the kettle I don't know. There was a 'breakfast' room downstairs with a kettle, bread etc but no water for the kettle! The staff kitchen seen through the door was filthy. Breakfast at the pub was the only good thing & Sarah who cooked it told us the rooms at the Admiral Cunningham were just as bad. If we had gone elsewhere at short notice it would have cost at least £160 per night which we couldn't afford at that point. The other people staying seemed to be all contractors on short term jobs in the area not holiday visitors to see relatives & visit Winsor Castle. Please don't stay here get a tent instead.

Me and my Partner were visiting Bracknell to meet with some friends and decided to try this place as it seemed to be good value for money.

Upon arriving there was no staff or signage to tell us that we had to walk to a separate location to check-in. When we eventually phoned up and asked what was happening, the staff on the phone were short with us and extremely unhelpful. When we got to the second location, nobody was helpful and their attitude was terrible, they clearly did not care about us, and lacked any form of charisma.

The room itself was absolutely vile, the carpets were filthy and the bedding was dirty, stained and discoloured. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the mattresses were mangled and damaged.
Furthermore with the dirty room, we found 4 rather large spiders had taken a liking to the bathroom and bedroom walls. (Being terrified of spiders this is an obvious deal breaker)
Whilst it doesn’t state anywhere toiletries are provided, it is somewhat insulting that a small, half used bottle of shampoo had been left and nothing else.

Finally, the ‘breakfast’ was nothing more than a pot of porridge, and some out of date biscuits.(Not even any milk for the porridge). Not the sort of place I’d feel comfortable eating in to be honest and would definitely recommend that this place is demolished and rebuilt from the ground up.

The room was clean. That's the good part, now for the rest. The overall impression is just not attractive, it just seemed run down. A handle was missing from the sink cupboard, I didn't even want to use it but it's just the impression. No toilet roll holder, the roll was just sat on the floor. Biggest moan was the "self service weekend continental breakfast" which turned out to be a paper bag in the room with a pot of instant porridge, an Alpen bar and a small carton of orange. Also, you have to book in at the Admiral Cunningham pub which is a couple of hundred yards away.

This is a conversion of an old large residential property into 8+ rooms. It is owned by the pub 100m away where check in and eat breakfast (weekdays - weekend is a packed breakfast).
The room was well kitted out in modern style and had a comfortable night in a very clean tidy room that had good facilities: TV, drink making, microwave and storage.
En suite also well designed in modern style, although shower lacking a bit of power.
Bed was comfortable although the metal frame creaked on movement, no problem for me but possibly disturbing to those in room beneath.
Plenty of on site parking.

This was our second stay. The inn is very comfortable and exceptionally clean. This time we had a twin room with too good beds, quite a bit of space and a good size bath room. Once getting the keys (pay on check in) you can come and go as you please. Being a short walk from The Admiral Cunningham it's very quiet, though the bar is friendly. Only disappointment was that the free breakfast was orange juice in a carton, instant porridge and a cereal bar. I'd have happily paid for the continental breakfast we enjoyed on our previous stay. Would advise taking a night light or torch if you make night time bathroom visits. It is pitch black when lights are out and leaving the bathroom light on would leave the fan on. Also window was locked, understandably as ground floor but I do like to sleep with a little air coming in.

When we arrived at the guest house, another guest had to come out of their room to direct us to check in, as the instructions left by the front door directed us to "the pub over the road", which was not visable from the guest house. After checking in, we went up to our room, which I was initially quite pleased with. Good size, tv in room etc. After getting comfortable, I realised that the place was dressed up to look nice but was actually pretty poor. The bathroom door didn't shut, let alone lock. There was a hole in the bath that had just been plastered over with some rubbery looking red stuff (which had mould growing on it). The shower was pathetic, literally no water pressure at all and took about 15 minutes to warm up. The tv was so small that it would have been more useful to prop the iPad up and watching that instead had we been given access to the in-house wifi, which I thought I had specifically asked for but was not given. 'Breakfast' was included in the price we paid, but as it turned out breakfast was not served on Sunday so we were left a carton of orange juice, a museli bar (which was not nut-free so my boyfriend couldnt eat it) and a cheap tub of porridge oats. The bed was comfortable, however, and the sheets were clean although the duvet was put on upside down (rocket science, i assume?).
There were facilities for hot drinks, but that was about all. The pub across the road served food so we popped over and grabbed a pizza for £25, which turned out to be gross. There were no other places to eat or shop nearby.
All in all, I would not visit this place again and was very glad I paid a cheap rate to stay here for the night.

On arrival the house looks empty, you have to call a number or walk across the road down a side path to the pub, once in the person tells you all you need to know is in the room. The room itself is basic, it has a fridge and microwave. The bed is comfortable enough, the place needs a good paint job, chipped and cracked paint everywhere! The shower is okay, but don't put the light on as the extractor fan is very noisy and full of dirt! The breakfast is very limited choice no fruit /youguts and the cooked is all deep fried. The wifi is excellent!
