I attended the the hotels 80s night dinner and dance last week as a belated works xmas night out. Have to say it had its good points and its bad. The positives are that the place looks fantastic these days. All the areas i saw were immaculate and well maintained. The downstairs bars especially is a cracking looking place for...

I highly recommend the Torrance hotel. We had the honey moon suit and it was absolutely stunning! The suit has two levels. Features a sauna, steamroom, bath , whirlpool. The food is amazing. Will definitely be going back.

Stayed in the honeymoon suite with the meal deal. Food was poor. Air conditioning in room didn't work (downstairs). In room Bluetooth speakers also didn't work and the cleaners base is just outside the room so the noise from the corridor woke us up early in the morning. For the money we paid it wasn't worth it.

From start to finish the meal experience was a total farce....The food was bland and cold , not what was described on the menu... Restaurant Manager was useless.... even he managed to get the drinks wrong.... Could go on for ages..... They have got serious issues with recruitment ... The chefs work crazy hours ... Won't be returning until things...

Had a really nice midweek meal from the Fixed Menu in the restaurant. The Seabass was amazing. We were served by David who was really attentive. Thank you, it was a lovely experience. This is a really nice venue. Lots of Choice and a great atmosphere.

First I would like to say how modern and welcoming this place is. The staff were very helpful and service good. The prosecco was fab but I felt the sandwich selection quite poor and cakes average. I have had better elsewhere but saying that we were on a 5pm deal 2 for £18 so it was ok for the price....

Our room was spacious and well furnished with a large comfortable bed. It was warm, cosy and the jacuzzi bathtub and TV by the bath were unexpected bonuses! Toiletries were nice, the only thing missing was hot chocolate on the tea tray in our opinion. We were on a dinner, bed & breakfast deal but due to arrive after the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcoming traditional village hotel in walking distance to Scotland's largest undercover shopping and leisure centre in East Kilbride. East Kilbride has many local attractions including Village Theatre, Golf Courses, Ten Pin Bowling, Ice Skating, Odeon Cinema and is only 7 miles from Glasgow city centre. Built in 1773 by General Stuart of Torrance as a cotton-spinning mill and workers' houses the building in Torrance Square provided a focus for town life. In its many incarnations the popular Torrance Hotel has also housed a school, a shop and a Coaching Inn, but it has always been at the heart of East Kilbride. The building has retained all its original character and charm. We have 20 comfortable bedrooms including the newly refurbished Honeymoon Suite for 2007. Enjoy a meal in our warm and friendly restaurant or lounge bar which caters for a wide range of food from traditional meals to bar snacks. We are a 5 minute walk from the local train station which will take you straight into Glasgow's Central Station which runs every half hour. If more information is required then do not hesitate to ask our friendly receptionist staff. We would like to advise guests that there will be no bar or restaurant facilities for the next 4 months. We are undergoing a major refurbishment to improve the services to the guests in the future. ... more   less
