Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were so grateful to The Raven for squeezing 17 of us in for Sunday Lunch at late notice. The waiting staff were patient, attentive and very courteous, thank you! The food was good, everything was hot and there’s was plenty to choose from. We had a couple of vegetarians who had the Veg Wellington, which was also enjoyed. And the desserts went down a treat. We would definitely recommend and will absolutely be back.

Went for sunday lunch. The restaurant is nice and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and we had the carvery, the meal was good but the vegatables were little more than lukewarm. This needs to be addressed.

Stayed here for the last 3 night's, very spacious rooms and comfortable beds, first 2 night's spent in a twin room and second in a deluxe double. Friendly helpful staff, Continental breakfast is included in the price and lot's of choice. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

Sadly the staff at the Raven Pub don't take criticism well, refuse to give names to raise a complaint and enjoy verbally abusing at 72 year old man on Father's Day caught on camera might I add. Very poor service, we would not return.

Small room but adequate for 1 night stopover. Usual tea making facilities and biscuits, although not much milk provided. Modern décor and bathroom was decent enough. Staff were informative and friendly. I didn’t try the breakfast, as I woke up stupidly early, nothing to do with the hotel though. 5 minute drive from Asda and McDonalds. Despite being over a pub the room was surprisingly quiet, although it was a Sunday night. Unfortunately there was a distinct mouldy/bacteria smell in bathroom, after the initial stench of bleach wore off. No cooling facilities such as a fan or air conditioning, so room was very hot when I arrived and I was unable to open a window. No welcome information in the room, so difficult to work out how to use the heater, which I thought doubled as air conditioning! Plug socket too far away from bed. Sink and toilet were very noisy. Very importantly, I was unable to lock the door from the inside which made me feel vulnerable, so I ended up putting the stool with my heavy suitcase on top in front of the door! No glasses for drinks were provided, and cups for tea and coffee were small and fiddly to hold.

I sent an email tyesterday 04.04.23 to The Raven Hotel Corby, l am not happy with the response. l I spoke to the manager in person this morning at about 09 :00 her reply had been sent to me just a few minutes earlier but hadn'tyet reached my inbox, l quite understand that they had to shut the bar for a H&S reason on Monday and Tueday but we should have been informed, but it wasn't an emergency decision and a last minute closure as the Manager said to me because a friend said there was a post on Facebook on 30th March saying the restaurant would be closed on 3rd &4th of April, our booking was made on 25th March. We were by the manager this morning that we could have had breakfast yesterday, but the door to the bar from the rooms were blocked by a stack of leather furniture, apparently we should have left by one door then gone in again by the front door, now how were we possibly to have known that, there was no notice anywhere in sight to explain this. I was made to feel it was our fault that we weren't told about the closure as we hadn't made a Hotel Restaurant reservation anyway, we have stayed many times previously and never booked in advance before, I won't elaborate further, read the email l sent below and the email l received in return.

Lovely staff and hotel. Couldn’t fault our room (6) clean and warm, the nice rainfall shower was good and everything as expected for the price paid. Lovely continental breakfast and again attentive staff! Would stay again if ever in the area.
