Our luxury Chalet Panorama in the resort of Maria Alm, welcomed its first guests in December 2006. Less than one hour's drive from the historical city of Salzburg, the resort forms part of the Höchkonig Ski Circuit with over 150km of piste divided across four interlinking valleys. 14 of us stayed in the Chalet for the week and we were very well looked after by Seb and his team. Thierry made us too much delicious food and we always had plenty wine to wash it down!!
The Chalet has been very tastefully modernised and there is an endless supply of hot water and our room had a nice deep bath to enjoy at the end of the days snowboarding. This has been my first visit back to Austria in 25 years and the resort here has also been modernised, with lots of new bubbles and heated chairlifts. Our stay in Chalet panorama has been up there was most of our other experiences, the only other thing I would like to see here is a hot tub, although we made good use of the sauna and steam room. We were recommended a hotel for dinner on the staffs night out which involved tobogganing, definitely a must .

This is our 2nd visit to Chalet Panorama and again, it was the most amazing week. Seb and he team were terrific and made us feel so welcome and at home and the chef Thierry makes the most delicious food! The location is great as you can walk to the Gondola in about 5 minutes. I could not recommend this chalet more!!

Been back home 5 minutes and we’re already missing the chalet and the amazing hosts. We’ve stayed at this chalet 5 times now and it’s always kept immaculately clean. The food from Thierry and Jake was delicious. Seb, Seb, Izzy, Chloe and Fiona were very friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble and they even accommodated some day guests and made them a lovely meal before they headed off. Select Chalets are always very accommodating, Michelle back home with the booking was also very helpful and professional. Thank you for a lovely holiday and I’m sure it won’t be long till we’re back for a sixth time!

The chef put on an amazing spread every evening and although when we did eat out at lunch and for one evening, the in chalet catering was by far superior. Staff were professional, friendly and catered for any of our needs. The steam room was a serious bonus after a tough day on the hill ! Cant wait for next year

Our second visit and it did not disappoint! We visited the chalet two years ago on a business trip with customers ..... there have been small changes mainly to the sauna spa area which have made a big difference, it is nice to have the improved facilities on return from the skiing.
The team were incredible, catering for all our requests and more, nothing was too much trouble and they all certainly added to a fun week in their own way.
The breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner were all to a high standard With plenty of variety as the week progressed, a special shout out to Tierre and Jake in the kitchen.
The new lift from Maria Alm makes the slopes and some of the bars so much more accessible.
A great time in a great place with great people.....customers and the team alike.
Thoroughly recommend.

We have just returned for a lovely week with Seb, Thierry and their team at Chalet Panorama. We had a great week in this fairly unknown area and staying at the chalet really made it even more enjoyable.
Nothing was too much bother - Seb H dealt with all our requests and wishes in a very calm and professional manner.
The food was delicious and my fussy children ate things that they would otherwise never at home.
Loved the steam room and sauna.

Chalet is in a great location a short walk from the main town area. Rooms and general accommodation are excellent. Food was superb (thanks Thierry) and the staff were extremely helpful especially when I "crocked" myself one evening and couldn't ski for the remainder of the week. Thanks to Seb and the team - you were all great. I would love to come back one day!

You can't fault the Chalet Panorama. Seb and his team are the most welcoming, attentive and considerate chalet hosts you could ask for in such a beautiful setting. Thierry's food is incredible and just what you need after a day on the slopes. The greatest soup I've ever had and the best schnitzel you'll have all trip!
The rooms are spacious combined with lovely communal areas including a well stocked bar!
As someone who has been on many ski trips I couldn't recommend the Chalet Panorama more highly and you'll have a great trip no doubt.

Chalet Panorama is a real home away from home. The food is exceptional and the chef Thiery has worked within this business for 25 years and can not only produce delicious food but present it so beautifully too.
The rooms are large and comfortable with very well appointed bathrooms and separate shower. Cleverly, and much to the delight of my wife, the loo was separate but also en-suite. It also had a slope facing balcony.
The Great Room is very comfortable with a real open fire, and a homestyle seating area with a bar discretely to the side. It is better than the photos on the website.
The sauna, stream room and rest area were a particular delight and for our group a great place for post ski relaxation and chat.
There was a modern boot warmer and easy to access ski storage.
Dinner in the evening was really fun with three well planned courses and ample quantities of very high class food. The staff were unusually well dressed, attentive, polite and service oriented for a ski chalet.
The Austrian charm of the piste has made Austria our favourite ski destination. The area has ample small restaurants and bars which are reasonably priced and the service good. A generous Goulash soup and roll is €7 in 2024. Much better value than France. The buildings all were full of character too. We are hard pressed to find fault.

Apart from the large, clean and comfortable chalet just 5 minutes away from the lift, the staff made our stay very special. Especially Thierry, the chef, was so welcoming, preparing food for our 6 month old baby, and bringing up food to my sick husband while we were away. He even insisted on making a beautiful and delicious birthday cake! Thank you Thierry, Katie, Gracie, Tamar, Seb and Golan for taking such good care of us!
