This hotel is in an amazing location and the views are simply stunning. I would highly recommend this hotel for the room size, pools, location, gorgeous beach and atmosphere but would not recommend you go all inclusive especially if you are going with young family. The very reasonably priced restaurants on the beach front just down from the hotel are lovely and the choice of beautiful fresh food and amazing gelatos, arancini etc are far more enjoyable than the hotel food and restaurant experience. The hotel offers half board and we wished we had chosen this option instead and had breakfast and lunch in the hotel and then evening meal out each night. When in Italy you want to sample local fresh cuisine and the hotel really does not offer this. The one restaurant was far too busy and felt more like a canteen than a relaxing enjoyable experience. We only ate in there on 3 occasions in the evening as it was not enjoyable. In Letojanni there are some great little cafes like Niny bar (fantastic) and punto pizza where you can order pizza and go eat it on the beautiful beach. The breakfast was ok nothing amazing but certainly nice enough but why don't you open the door to the patio area so people can sit out and enjoy the gorgeous views while eating. It felt a little to me like they are under staffed in the restaurant and want to rush you in and out for food. No coffee cups allowed to be used in the evening or at the pool bar instead you use a plastic cup! not very good. The food quality was ok but certainly not what I would expect from Italy, no local cuisine offered and very basic pasta dishes and no pizza. You get 2 seats and 1 parasol for the beach which isn't very good if you are a family and then have to pay 20 euro for another two seats and a parasol, this should be included in with the price. We had a fantastic holiday Sicily is simply gorgeous and Taormina just stunning. Isola Bella is a must visit! This hotel could be amazing if they could sort out the food and dining as it's really the only thing letting it down.

I have stayed a few times already in the Antares hotel. The location on a hill is great, offers amazing views and easy acces to bus and train to do sightseeing in Taormina, Syracuse and Catania. Easy acces to nearby beaches as well. This time I stayed in February, the hotel was quiet and very relaxing. The spacious Antares lobby area looks modern and fresh, and offers great panoramic views of the coastline. Staff was exceptional. Bar and restaurant staff was very friendly and accomodating. Reception staff was also friendly and very helpfull whenever we needed info on touring the region by train and bus. The best thing about the Antares -Olimpo property are the views over the coastline, and the two pool areas on different platforms that are connected by a small cablecar. There is a busy road nearby.

Hotel Olimpo is a large and very well kept hotel. The reception staff are excellent, they were extremely helpful and friendly during the entire trip. Particularly Marcello, Haleh and Alessia, they are truly a credit to this hotel!
The room is cleaned daily to perfection and the room itself was spacious with a comfy bed, I also had a terrace which was lovely.
The restaurant staff were very polite, particularly Francesco Fresta who was always kind and greeted us with a smile.
The gym / indoor pool / shop worker was not friendly towards us and unfortunately made myself and my mother feel quite uncomfortable for various reasons.
The food is basic, there was plenty of options but it was all very similar each night, there was no pizza in 6 days and not enough fish options for non meat eaters. The wine however was fabulous and you can have a bottle with your meal. There are no cocktails available here and the main bar isn’t open all day. However there is a pool bar which in the daytime serves, beer, wine and Prosecco.
We were told there was entertainment but only experienced it once out of 5 evenings, a 3 piece band who were fantastic, it was such a shame there was no other entertainment. I was informed on the last day via another traveller that there had been some entertainment in the building located at the bottom ‘Hotel Antares’ but we were never informed and the information wasn’t clear. Overall communication was lacking during our stay and we found we had to ask questions about everything.
Pool towels you need to give 10€ deposit and they’re not very good quality.
The beach trip from Giardini Naxos was much too dangerous, the sea was extremely rough and I had to make them stop at Isobella so I could get off the boat.
The main thing I would say for this hotel is if you don’t like heights ‘do not visit’ as the cable lift is frightening, we knew it was here but we were not made aware how high up it was. Luckily we found a way not to use the cable lift by utilising the fire escape steps, however it was time consuming, which we didn’t mind but obviously could be a hinderance for others.
We asked at reception for someone to take our luggage in the cable lift when we were leaving and Marcello kept it in a safe place for us whilst we waited for our transfer.
I would definitely return to Sicily, it is a beautiful island, however I would stay at a hotel that is on a ground level and closer to the beach.

Just came back from a lovely 4 night stay at this hotel. The hotel and rooms were very clean and spacious and the views were stunning all around the hotel.

There were two outdoor pools which were both well kept and always had plenty of sunbeds, The upper pool was very big and you got some lovely views sunbathing. but the lower pool was a lot quieter so it was nice to switch between the two. The only downside to the lower pool is that the drinks bar was only open 1 out of the 4 days I was there so you do have to use the other bar which could take 10 minutes to get to as it was up the outdoor lift.
If I did not go all inclusive I would probably give this hotel a 5 star rating, as the food was quite average and quite repetitive for all meals. A lot of options had seafood which is great if you love it, but not so great when you don't! Also not a lot of food options for children. But the food I did have was nice enough.
There were also not many alcoholic drinks that comes in with all inclusive. This is the first all inclusive I have been to that didn't include at least a couple of cocktails and vodka!

The terrace where the entertainment was in the evening was lovely to sit down and have a drink on with fantastic background singers. The only downside is that it is the same singers every night so would have been great just to see something extra or different. There was an entertainment board but the majority of things on there didn't happen, maybe because it was June but still the hotel was busy so strange as to why.

Overall a great hotel with the most incredible views and fantastic pools. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

One of the most disappointing check in ever.
Rude staff, unprofessional manners, low quality rooms.
Location is amazing and so is the view.
One of them, without mentioning names, wins in the most humiliating 45 minutes check in of my life, with my parents waiting in reception with a walking stick and my nephews exhausted while, after showing him my bank account and my reservation confirmation he was trying to convince me the 3 rooms we booked and paid for, were not paid.
None of the reception staff actually managed to read their own print out which clearly said PAID!
Another one doesn’t know the difference between left and right. As a Sicilian living abroad I am ashamed. Rooms are tired and dirty, no way to find breakfast times and reception number from the rooms. I had called in advance to ask for the porter to help us considering we had booked 3 rooms. Shame on the management,we booked because we had friends who recommended it. Stay away

We are a family of 4, have arrived for a weeks holiday, all inclusive to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday!

What a week we have had! We arrived on the Sunday evening, after a hairy bus ride on the smallest, twisted roads you can get a bus through! We arrived just in time for food and bed before starting a fresh in the morning! We spent our first day by the pool, the views up here are AMAZING !!!! The pool is surrounded by mountains and you can see the bluest ocean I have ever seen! There is a pool bar that offer soft drinks, Moretti beer and other drinks, higher quality of drinks you will have to pay for. Our favourite bar man up here was a gentleman called Michelli, so smiley and helpful and very good with children!

The only issue with this is the lack of snacks, if you or your children are hungry between meals there is not much readily available. There is a restaurant next to the bar open at lunch time, but this you have to pay for, it isn’t included in the all inclusive! This is also the only bar open through the day, until 1800 when this one closes and the bar near the main restaurant opens.

This week there has only been the 2 out of the 3 pools open as well, one outdoor (which of course is what we came for, nice weather by the pool) and an indoor pool. The outdoor pool is a lovely size with plenty of space for swimming, however, when it is busy the deck chairs and space around the pool becomes tight. I believe they have opened another outdoor pool the day before we left though, so there are now 2 outdoor pools available.

The food! Some good days with lots of choice, other days not so much, a better choice for adults than for children but luckily for us ours kids aren’t fussy and most days there was something they would eat. Staff are mostly friendly, but Pepe made us smile every time we saw him! Friendly and talkative, staff like this make your stay more enjoyable!

The rooms are ok, lots of storage if your an unpacker, be careful not to drink from the mini bar unless your ok with the fee that comes with it, standard stuff really. Our room had a sea view and you can hear the sound of the waves from the balcony. At night the moon shines down across the sea and it’s just beautiful! All channel on the tele are foreign none are English, which could make putting younger kids to bed earlier a bit boring with nothing to watch for the evening. The air con did not work until our last night so I didn’t sleep particularly well during our stay because of the heat which wasn’t good! The cleaning staff were very friendly and changed the towels when they came, there was a lack of toilet roll for a family of 4 which I had to keep asking for and the bedding wasn’t changed whilst whilst we were here at all.

Mount Etna excursion is well worth a look, it’s a long day but an amazing experience to see!

Over all our stay has been amazing, a few small things but nothing that has put us off at all ! Hence the 4 stars! I would definitely recommend this holiday and think my husband may cry before leaving today !

My wife and daughter have just returned from a week at this hotel and I thought it might be simpler to give you the good points and the not so good points of this Hotel

Good point
Views are spectacular
food is lots of fish and pasta (which we like)
Rooms are comfortable and cleaned every day
Hotel swimming pool is a nice surrounding and clear with plenty of sun loungers
The outside evening patio area to have a few drinks in the evening is great with plenty of seating

Not so good points
To get up to the hotel you need to go up a lift to the 1st floor then up a cliff cable car to the hotel, we were told that on one occasion (that we know of) that it broke down with people stuck in it for 40 mins (not so good in the hot sun) and when pressing for help it was an answering machine. Be mindful when you are leaving with your cases to collect your airport transport
If you like a full English breakfast then don't go to this Hotel
when we arrived they tried to put us in a none sea view room which we paid for, when i spoke with reception they changed us to a sea view which we paid for
Not enough information at the hotel about public transport
If you catch a bus to the local town then expect a long wait
not much to do locally
Beach is not great
if you are all inclusive then during the day its either beer, wine or Pressco which was only made clear to us when i went to order a Vodka and tonic on our first day we arrived and the grumpy man behind the bar tried to charge me 5 Euro's. Spirits are only available after 6PM. That was not made clear when booking
Day time snacks are left overs from breakfast and lunch and are not great if i am honest
The pool is padlocked off and not opened until 0900 which is not helpful when i like to have some quite time with my book early in the morning sat around the pool

If you want a holiday just sat around the pool relaxing with some nice weather and great views then this is the place

we went in the last week of September and it was in the 30's all week with little rain on one day

Hope that helps

Good & very bad

This 'hotel' is okish , very clean , rooms tired and a vernacular railway - to get to it …

The staff work incredibly hard, all rooms are cleaned daily to a very high standard, the rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and well furnished, with large balconies and spectacular views.
We didn’t thought looked at a scruffy back ..

A very efficient and cheap shuttle bus (€4 return per person) runs from the hotel to Taormina which is a must as it's absolutely beautiful.
Set times & not great really to us holiday people …

The restaurant is spacious with very enthusiastic and friendly staff.

Breakfast is very bland, boring really ..

lunch and dinner had a choice of meat and fish dishes, and a vast variety of salads.

Very tired food looks all beige really needs to be looked at the menu desperately.
Lot of wasted food due to poor cooking.

There was a choice of desserts and fruit.

8 sunbeds were clearly marked as being reserved for the disabled, remember a disability isn’t always visible… wish people would remember this … also music too loud by the pool & no English music played at all & large groups of people gathered at the STEPs to get in the pool … how poor is that even some days a shambles & family’s arguing over children.

On arrival you will be dropped in a car park where your driver will point upwards to where need to check-in via a tunnel into a lift that takes time to reach the Antares part of the hotel, and then up 3 levels in the vernacular railway to the annexe reception area.

If this was advertised better we wouldn’t of come as the area is very quite too & by the time you’ve got through all above … is it worth it …

Despite the politeness of the staff you won't get any assistance.

The roof top pool was crowded with incredibly rude and badly behaved Italian families who blocked the hand rail as says above , even smoking while sat on the edge/standing in the shallower water.

Expect to be jostled and made to feel like you are invading their space.
Disgusting behaviour.

The music around the pool was very loud with sometimes inappropriate lyrics.

I would return to Sicily but not to this hotel.
Awful hotel really poor & a shambles..

We booked this all inclusive package through TUI, you know the advert, Cross the T’s, dot the I’s and put You in the middle! The online brochure stated the Hotel was a 4 star or TUI +. It would be better described as a 2 star TUI -. We were expecting an a la carte restaurant to be available. It wasn’t! We were expecting local alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks including sparkling wines, what we got was Parc Hotels generic spirits, wine that was best described as acidic and definitely no sparkling wines. Soft drinks were all post mix and had probably never seen a Coca-Cola factory although I stand to be corrected on that! The buffet food wouldn’t have been amiss in A 1970’s Butlins with the same vegetable dishes regurgitated every day. The cuts of meat were sub optimal and it would be difficult to guess when the fish had last seen an ocean. And please don’t get me started on the pasta! The decor and furnishings were tired although it had to be said the room service staff did a good job of making a silk purse out of a sows ear. The swimming pools could all have done with a visit from a magic sponge to get rid of the scum line around the entire edges and the Spa pool was about as relaxing as Typhoon lagoon in Florida! There is a lift from the car park to the first hotel and then another lift to Olimpo. The first one being almost ok but the second one being like a slow Wonka’s glass elevator with added sweat box overtones. On a lighter note, the evening entertainment was reasonable. The local beach is pebbled and not particularly easy to navigate. However the local beach bar was really nice. We get the impression the hotel is not a reflection on the island of Sicily as we visited local towns and attractions that were charming and well worth a visit but we were disappointed by Parc Hotels Olimpo

We are on our last day and thought we would write our experience now. Good points, views to die for, lovely clean spacious rooms. Food has good and bad points. Good are something for everyone even if picky like me. Bad points, food always cold, pork served every day and kebabs inedible, most days I had fish and chips or chicken if they had any. My husband liked most things but after a few days found it all repetitive. Most of the staff are grumpy and prefer to speak to the Italians, but they are polite. The biggest grumble is that we paid for all inclusive and just before we arrived the hotel changed its policy and no one informed us of the changes. You could only have beer wine or prosecco until 6pm and then just aperol, grappa, amereto or Italian brandy. There was a Italian sherry but I must of had the last glass on the first night as I could not have any more.
The hotel is in a lovely quite location and we would come back if the food was better and the all inclusive so no we would not return. A shame as it's a lovely place.

Yes, it was 6 (or very close to that time). It didn't bother us but if you've been out for the full day and wanted an evening swim it would be annoying. A lot of places seem to close pool early evening.

Hi, the annexe is very easily accessed, you won’t have any problems, drinks are served during the day at different bars, there is a bar by the pool, serving snacks and drinks. Have a great time, it’s a great place, restaurant food is delicious. 😊
