This was our third visit to this delightful family-run hotel situated about 10 minutes from the train station and we will return again. We have recommended it to friends who have also stayed and fallen for the kind hospitality. Our room was large, furnished in traditional style, quiet, comfortable and well presented. The staff, especially the family members are genuine, warm...

My wife and I spent a week in this family hotel while touring and hiking around the hill towns of Umbria. The hotel is located just off the town square where there are a number of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. The train station is an easy 10 minutes away as is a grocery store that also sells...

The staff was warm and friendly and looked after us well. We had delicious food for breakfast and personal coffee service at the bar. Our dinners were very good , especially the homemade soups. Every night, the innkeeper, Senora, would tell us stories of the history of the hotel. There is a medieval fresco called The Madonna del Latte or Madonna...

This was a sweet spot in a great location in Foligno. The food was excellent and we were here for a week in a very comfortable room. The owner's wife, Leila, was extremely attentive to any of our needs and always wanted to know how our dinner was. The piazza was one block away where we sat with espresso every...

I was here for the Trasimeno Music Festival -- and the venue in Foligno was just a block away. Great location. Close to the shops and restaurants. Comfortable room, clean. Very kind staff -- who provided me an umbrella when it was pouring and gave me directions to the closest grocery store so I could buy fresh fruit and chocolate.

We happened upon the Hotel Italian when we learned that the Tour d'Italia would be finishing Stage 7 in Foligno! They had ONE room left!! The owner could not have been more welcoming, ushering us to a surprisingly modern, clean room! Situated in the heart of Foligno, it's the perfect location for exploring the city and a few metres from...

This hotel, in a 600 year old building in the old city, was delightful! A family-run hotel, it was friendly, beautifully kept, had been recently renovated, and it was an all around lovely experience for us (Road Scholar hiking trip in Umbrian hills). A few small glitches (toilet not flushing, need for off-season heat) were addressed and taken care of...

We stayed at Hotel Italia for seven nights and enjoyed it completely. The hotel is located in a great location, away from traffic but close to all kinds of attractions. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous. The breakfasts were ample and delicious. We ate dinner in the restaurant several times and we loved...

We are walking from Assisi to Rome and this hotel was selected for us by Camino Ways. A very good choice. Our room is very clean and has everything we need. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The associated restaurant, via Del Forno, is good too.

Not only is the hotel lovely but the staff really make you feel part of their family. The older part of the hotel preserves the historic painting and architectural features. The modern part is updated but offers really spacious triples that have 2 bathes and an upstairs and downstairs. Breakfast is one of the best I have had in Italy....

“Our room was overlooking the street on the corner. It was large enough and light. This little city comes alive early with the street cleaners and stays up late with the gelato shops and ristorante bars. The noise level was one of people enjoying themselves and a part of the culture.”
