Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our honeymoon here was simply perfect! The team was incredibly warm and helpful, the food was delicious, and the location near the Pyrenees was breathtaking. We actually enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay. Grateful to Jose and Gustavo for making our honeymoon unforgettable.

This is an amazing place. The grounds and the house are beautiful and we had a lovely spacious and comfortable room. However, what really made the place shine was Jose. He is so nice, friendly, and attentive. We had two breakfasts and a dinner at the hotel and they were spectacular. During our two week trip in Spain and France this breakfast was the best, and the dinner was among the best. Unfortunately, my wife was sick during our stay so we didn't see much of the sites, but Jose made our stay special.

The only problem we had here was that we had just the one night. There was so much more we wanted to explore, so will just have to make a return trip. The whole place was clearly a life's love, with so many thoughtful touches. Jose our host couldn't do enough to ensure a perfect stay. When he realised my wife was vegetarian, all sorts of specials seemed to appear for breakfast. And talking of the breakfast, this was the best we've had whilst travelling through Northern Spain. Hope to return.

What a fabulous find - amazing little hotel and our hosts could not do enough for us. Great food and variety- we ate dinner both evenings. A very beautiful part of Spain - made even more special by staying in this great accommodation. The views are stunning.

This was our first time in this particular part of Spain, and basing ourselves in Jaca for the first three nights of a fairly long road trip, we wanted to kick it off with a little style. This beautifully appointed hotel, in every sense, couldn’t have made for a more perfect start…our host, José, was so helpful at every turn, starting with a very thoughtful (and very fresh) breakfast each morning. As we weren’t familiar with the area, José gave great guidance/tips for making the most of Jaca and all this beautiful area has to offer. The room was very comfortable, with stunning views outside…Jaca town itself is not more than five minutes drive. Tip: the local Mercadona supermarket is perfect for stocking up on all those road trip essentials. Worth going to Jaca just to stay at this perfect hotel…many thanks again José for giving us a great start to what turned out to be a very memorable road trip, Brian & Ann

Nestled a little bit above Jace this hotel is sophisticated but warm. Loved the attention to detail (not to mention the sauna and hot tub!). Jose went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. Meals at the hotel were superb. The tomato appetizer was unique and to die for. I am still thinking about!

This is a truly beautiful little hotel. Its two owners are completely charming and go out of their way to ensure everything is perfect. Our room was in a separate little building in the garden, everything so well appointed from the power shower and jacuzzi bath with Clarins products to the super comfy bed, flowers in the room, and a pre-loaded iPad with music to suit all. Sauna and hot tub all included in the price. Breakfasts are wonderful - everything fresh and home-made. The hotel is only 5 minutes outside Jaca but they will do you dinner if you like. Honesty bar and really good wines too. Such a special place. Thank you Jose and Gustavo.

We recently spent 3 nights here after originally booking for 2, deciding to stay an extra night as we loved the property and surrounding area so much! Jose is such a generous and kind host, he really made us feel welcome, helped to plan our days out in the mountains and town of Jaca, filled our bellies with nourishing, abundant, healthy breakfasts, even making a special brew of herbal tea for my husband who was unwell with a cold at the time. We stayed in La Ermita, the cottage in the back garden and it could not have been any more perfect. Beautifully appointed, super comfortable bed and large bathtub with Clarins amenities. The location is perfect, just up the hill a few minutes out of the town of Jaca, yet so close to many beautiful drives into the Pyrenees and even over the border into France if you wish! We highly recommend a stay here and would absolutely go back on our next visit to Spain.

This hotel is about 10 minutes drive outside Jaca and for some reason it’s address could not be recognised on our satnav. I also forgot to correctly follow the directions given by the proprietor and took the wrong exit off the road over from France which meant we had some difficulty in getting there. The immediate surroundings were not impressive but when we arrived we could understand why previous reviews were so positive. It is an outstanding hotel. Upon arrival we were given a tour by Jose the proprietor. There is honesty bar with one of the largest choices of gin I have seen anywhere. There is small comfortable lounge. And there is a charming garden in which we were able to sit and enjoy the late afternoon sun with a drink and look out towards the snow-capped mountains. Our room was lovely and had a small balcony looking towards the Pyrenees. Everything was perfectly organised. The breakfasts included a variety of breads and preserves, fruit, cakes, eggs etc., and a Nespresso coffee machine. We were given hints on what to do and see in the area which was very helpful. Dinner can be provided by prior arrangement, and these were excellent. We were sorry to leave, but will definitely return if we are in the area again. It is only a small hotel with a few rooms so book well ahead so as not to be disappointed.
