We were warmly greeted on arrival and were able to park our hire car for free.
The room itself was spotless, spacious and had all the necessary facilities required. Big bathroom with powerful shower and large mirrors.
It was cleaned every single day and (perfectly) by the cleaners who went the extra mile to ensure comfort.
There is an infinity pool and a the larger main pool with plenty of sun beds.
We went bed and breakfast which we strongly recommend. The menu is extensive and food is of high quality. Waitress was lovely - very friendly and attentive. They serve until 11.30 too so no early wake ups required!
Greg the barman was a top bloke and went out of his way to ensure you felt welcome. Fast service and always remembered what we liked.
Resort is only 10 mins walk to village centre where there is a wide variety of world class restaurants/cocktail bars.
Was our first time in Lindos and we would definitely come back here!
Areas for improvement:
Guests would be appreciate of not having to pay extra for so many additional things (tennis courts, gym, wifi, safe and air con - didn’t need it in October)
I think you could include a few of those things but money is tight after Covid I guess!
Still a worthy 5 star!!
Too many staff members made me feel uncomfortable the man serving in the restaurant seemed very fake with a can’t be bothered attitude, when paying for your meal he slams your change on the table and doesn’t even say thank you and just acts nice until he gets your money. The lady who serves breakfast and at the main pool bar is also very intimidating and unwelcoming and gives a bad vibe to the hotel she’s more concerned about taking selfie’s of herself or smoking while working and playing unsuitable songs around the family pool, not welcoming at all.
On the other hand the lady who works at the infinity pool was absolutely amazing and would definitely be better suited to the main pool bar with her lovely attitude towards guests. The cleaning team were also very friendly and kept the accommodation clean.
Food here is not the greatest, breakfast is slap happy and the butter is not kept in the fridge so when opening the melted butter spilled all over my clothes, food tastes cheap and quick, definitely needs improvement.
The room was clean enough but the bathrooms definitely need a refurbishment, huge limescale problem, no sealant around bath, broken bath flooring, yellow shower curtain, can’t open the bathroom door and get locked inside. Limited facilities to be a self catering holiday not even a toaster and huge gap underneath the front door of the apartment and a serious ant problem also lack of tv channels.
Paying for air con is acceptable but charging for WiFi is ridiculous when other neighbouring hotels are free.
Dirty residue on the arms of every sun lounger and entertainment nights are also quite boring 😔
First of all on reading a previous review saying it was dirty and the staff were rude I'm not sure were they were staying but it certainly isn't Lindos Gardens as I wouldn't have returned so many time if this was the case.
Over the years we have seen it grow from a small complex with a small bar and pool to what it is today, each year they have made it better & better (if that's possible)
Obviously this year with the pandemic there was less staff than usual but that didn't make any difference to the service. ALL staff were helpful polite & friendly.
There was a new chef in the restaurant this year and the food was excellent so we eat there on many occasions more than we usually do.
Our room was cleaned every day by a lovely lady (sorry can't remember how she pronounced her name) she always said good morning and tried to have a conversation if we saw her even though her English wasn't too good.
We usually are beach people but did spend a few more days around the pool this
year.
All around the complex is well maintained , clean and cared for. Added bonus this year is a lift up to the higher rooms.
I would like to thank Vassilis, Valentina, Stamatis, Olivia, Adreana, Greg. plus all staff who's names I don't know for all their help in making our holiday memorable.
We will be back next year.

The room.
Air conditioning had to be payed extra. 90€ for 7 days. Since the walls are not made of stone the temperature inside the room is insufferable. It's not even possible to open a window since you only have the door to the terrace. If you want some air at night you would need to open the entrance door and the terrace door.
The bathroom as mentioned had no window and a lot of equipment is rusty. You can not open the door since the toilet is in the way. The cleaning personnel has obviously a lot of pressure since I saw them run around cleaning but only having the time to do the bare minimum.
The Food
The personnel serving the food is smoking beside the kitchen or feeding the cats and coming back to serve food. They pass pepper and salt from table to table without a wipe down. On general the menu is tailored for English guests and is not very good.
The pool
The pools are nice but not very clean the ladder was yellowish and in need of a scrub. Also the bottom had a lot of deposits. There are no showers directly by the pool so people who swetted under the sun do not shower before entering the water.
The services
The services offered by the hotel have all to be payed extra. Even the gym, WiFi and the air-conditioning
The personnel
The big positive here is the personnel which is nice.
The apartments are set up on the hill but there is now a lift! The room was spacious and very clean, so no problems there. Maid service everyday to a good standard. The infinity pool is small but beautiful and quite quiet. The main pool is bigger with a swim up bar. It is quite shallow all the way round 1.2 metres which is great if you have little ones. The pool bar started playing music at around 12:30 but it wasn't too loud or excessive. There is a no lilo rule and it wasn't at all rowdy. just a nice peaceful relaxing sunbathe. The restaurant is right next to the pool, and served gigantic portions of gyros, club sandwiches, chips, pasta, and souvlaki.
We had bed and breakfast and the breakfasts were great. Either full English or Greek or continental. Unlimited tea coffee juice. The breakfast was great quality.
we went to the Greek night and the BBQ food and greek salad was about the best we had all week. - really delicious.
Entertainment. Greek night, Karaoke (which we avoided) and one night of live music. The bar was open until 3am but was not loud and we couldn't hear it from our apartment.
Happy with the hotel and would return here again.
Wi fi was 15 euros for 2 devices for the week and wasn't too bad most of the time.
Air con is 90 euros for the week which is expensive but I guess just budget it into the overall cost which was pretty reasonable.
Lindos is lovely, about 10 minutes walk down the hill (and then about another 10 minutes to the beach.) I wouldn't recommend Lindos to people of reduced mobility as it is steep with cobbled streets ( no traffic) and steps. But you can get a taxi back to the apartments for 5 euros. There is a shuttle bus which takes you half way for 1 euro for 2 (between 10-5pm)
Lots of lovely roof top restaurants. The prices were similar in the hotel as in the town.
St Pauls bay (which was our favourite place in the past - beautiful) is now so expensive!! 40 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella!!! So we declined to re mortgage just to sit on a beach and went to the main beach ( shallow, sandy, boats for hire, busier but not overcrowded) The sunbeds there were 15 euros which has gone up but that's inflation for you.
Staff were lovely and all in all its a great location. I just hope they invest in the rooms as they are tired.
Adrianna the pool bar lady always made you feel welcome and often advised what drink to have that day! 😃 she made you feel welcome and treated you like you have always known her, I hope she continues her great animal charity work as she dedicates a lot of her own time to do so, she’s a great addition to the hotel, we hope to see her next year.
A shout out for the lovely young lady who worked helping out with breakfast in the restaurant before heading to the infinity pool at 11 to open that small bar, she was such a wonderful and very polite lady and also who you could have a lovely conversation with.
Then we have pascal in the breakfast/lunchtime restaurant who works a very long day and always smiling in that heat! He always welcomed us as hello « family » yes sometimes service was a little slow, however he also has to deal with the very demanding public and there was a lot of them at times, he always smiled and was intentive to everyone’s needs., well done for always delivering pascal, for us always great service.
The hotel complex was very clean, the rooms are basic but don’t forget this is a 3 star hotel and who wants to stop I. Your room all day and not explore the beautiful surrounding, our room was cleaned everyday, the shower was powerful and yea you do have to pay extra for the air con but that’s written in the T&C’s when you book. The lady that runs reception during the day was very polite and any problems/questions she was always willing to help with.
All in all for the price this hotel was wonderful and cannot wait to book next year, and that’s testimony to everyone that works at Lindos gardens, give yourselves a pat on the back because I couldn’t do do what you do in this heat and working everyday of the week for 7 or so months without a break! Well done all involved for making our holiday great
See you soon
