Lovely hotel, with the benefit of no children. Luxurious and exclusive throughout with exceptional staff. Actually the staff are it's biggest asset, friendly and welcoming and attentive. Very disappointed with our room location however which was near the goods delivery point. It was noisy with lorries delivering and collecting all day, along with a big array of air-con fans just outside. We were moved after complaining (twice), but only after putting up with the constant noise for two days. Prices in the hotel are bordering on extortionate....... over 16 Euros for two small glasses of red wine at dinner.
After a year filled with a lot of extraordinary happenings (we’re sure we weren’t the only ones…) we decided to treat ourselves to a well-deserved ‘vacation abroad’. Though Greece wasn’t initially on top of our list, we decided to give it a try & we spun the wheel-of-adventure via Google and ended up at ‘Aquagrand Exclusive Deluxe Resort Lindos - Adult only in Rhodes’. Our initial flight was scheduled with ‘Wizz Air’, but cancelled only a few days before our intended departure. Luckily Aegean had ample availability on the same day(s), it even turned out that our ingoing flight we only had to share with 6 other passengers, almost like flying private, what a treat that was. The transfer from the airport was arranged by the hotel, and we have to say that ‘Nikos & George Lindos Taxi’ is an excellent choice, we used their services several times again afterwards. From the moment we arrived at the resort we felt we had made the right choice coming here. We chose a room with a shared pool, yet we never used the pool since we greatly enjoyed going to the beach, but more about that later. Since we arrived a bit early, we started our stay with breakfast. From that day onward, each and every day, we were welcomed in the most friendliest of manners by the lovely hostess Chrisafina, after which Afrodita took over at our table. Both very professional, experienced, attentive & always with a smile (even during these masked-up times, very visible), as was the case with their other colleagues working there. The largest part of the day we spent at the beach. Even though neither of us are true ‘daily-beach-fans’, we absolutely loved doing so daily. If it wasn’t for the superb sea-view we had from the private beach, it surely was for the clean and well maintained beach front, and comfy deckchairs. Point of attention here, the beach umbrellas are too small, and should protect against UV, I’m pretty sure we can all agree on the importance of this. Sometimes we enjoyed a salad & the fried calamari at ‘Sensia Beach front restaurant’ as dinner, or we enjoyed the great buffet at the main restaurant, also a great choice. On several occasions however we chose to have dinner at the ‘Blue Fin Restaurant’, the fine dining experience, and fine dining it is! The friendliness and professionalism of the staff was absolutely superb, we’d like to especially point out that both Christopher and Costas truly stood out as very knowledgeable, and clearly understand the meaning & importance of great hospitality. The wine-pairing, food suggestions, and even the cake for my wife's 50th, all was truly superb! With a very big smile on our face we returned back home, a ton of memories richer, wondering where our next trip and adventure will take us. To all of you at the Aquagrand, thanks for a wonderful experience, and we look forward to visiting you again!…
What can I say about our 10 night stay at the Aquagrand, only one word describes this place,TREMENDOUS...... The management and staff here are unbelievable. The selection of food and quality are outstanding. Cleanliness is also impeccable, our cleaner was amazing on her daily visits, the standard is so high. Also very tranquil,no children, and no one blasting out music,it’s so relaxing at the poolside and also on the private beach with the Sensia Bar,for drinks and food. I’ve travelled to many countries and this has been my absolute favourite.
The hotel itself is extremely pleasant. Very helpful and friendly staff throughout. The food - quality, choice, presentation and taste were all first class. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Nice little touches around the place made it all feel luxurious. There were some lets downs for us though............... the hotel is not a short 20 mins stroll into Lindos as stated, that's a con. It may be 20 mins to the Lindos sign at St Pauls Bay if you sprint, but then it's a further 20 mins into the town. Not a pleasant walk either with lorries and coaches flying past you at speed most of the way. The option to take a bus was not possible as each time we tired, the busses were completely full and just sailed past. The hotel grounds are very well kept and attractive, but that's it. Nowhere else to walk at all. Not even along the beach for far as it's private. You also have to security 'check in' and 'check out' at the hotel gate every time you enter or leave (even on foot). Although no big deal (and the gate staff were delightful and friendly) It felt a bit claustrophobic at times. Drinks at the hotel were very expensive 4 euros for a small beer and 8.5 euros for a small glass of wine. Because of this high cost, we found most people bought their drinks in Lindos and had them in their rooms. This meant no atmosphere at the bars at all...... shame. If you want to eat well and lie in the sun all day, doing nothing else at all, then you will really love the Aquagrand. If you want to have just a few things to do in or around the hotel, then you may well be bored senseless.…
Things that would be useful before booking Staff are absolutely lovely - not a single miserable or surly member of staff Rooms are lovely and clean, beds super king and very comfortable- no bath and floors get wet as show screens are too small but plenty of water pressure The main bar is on 1st floor! Took us 5 days to work this out. This bar, and the one on the beach, are incredibly quiet ….. deathly! Most people seem to eat dinner and head to their rooms - if you are looking for any form of bar life then this is not the hotel for you. Pricing is on the high side but then it is a hotel so expected Food is pretty good on the whole, breakfast particularly so. Lindos - 20 minutes walk (if you are a mountain goat into marathon running) get a taxi for 8 euros each way and save yourself a heart attack Would we return? Yes…
My husband & I love a luxury hotel but also like to be within easy walking distance of shops, bars & restaurants. Aquagrand may be a little too far from town for a lot of people to walk but we walked to either Lindos or Pefkos every evening which took around 20-30 mins and then we got a cab back (approx €7) so for us the location was very good. The pool area was peaceful with plenty of well spaced sun loungers and parasols and similarly the beach was comfortable and well spaced. All the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. Making travelling during Covid with all the additional admin and testing almost stress free. The Zen bar & beach bar are both great places to have a cocktail or cold beer and although we rarely eat in hotels as we prefer local restaurants, we had a lovely meal in the Zen bar one evening. It is also worth noting that whilst the hotel charges more than local bars for food and drink, it is not excessively more (maybe a euro or two more for a beer) so you don't feel like you're being ripped off, which is often the case in luxury hotels. Breakfast was also delicious with a lot of choice and very good Covid safty measures. We had a room with a private pool which was lovely, spacious and I thought well worth the cost.…
What a superb hotel this is. Quite possibly one of the nicest I've stayed in. No point repeating everyone else posts but definitely I would recommend booking a deluxe room with sea view. We didn't have the pool but were higher up and had fantastic views of the Bay with full sun for much of the day. Ignore any negative comments about the food. We booked half board with a view to eat out every now and again but never did...There was always something for everyone and for a buffet the standard of the food is extraordinary. We managed to try every greek dish that one could hope to try and more, and as many have said the desserts here put many fine tea shops across the UK in the shade. The only downside was the fact that it isn't quite in Lindos and is a 20-30 minute walk away. We like to have a trundle around after dinner so this was a little frustrating as you can only walk around the fantastic gardens so many times!! That said it did mean that the hotel was extremely peaceful. All the staff are extremely friendly and polite but must give a special mentions for Aphrodite and Christafina who make you feel so welcome form the very first time you meet them. Whatever you do take the service bus to Rhodes Town. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, its a great way to see the Island, costs 12 euros return and fantastic Rhodes town is well worth it..…
Having waited another year to go to the AquaGrand in Lindos we were not disappointed at all. Firstly the Covid precautions that the hotel take as well as many other places in Lindos were excellent. Masks in public places and restaurants mandatory in this hotel as were temperature checks and plastic gloves at the buffet. You always felt safe. The hotel resort itself is about 2.5k from the town of Lindos but only a 20 minute walk or a bus gets you there. Great town, enough restaurants, shops and of course the Acropolis and amphitheater. The hotel itself has 4 pools and if you want private plunge pools, you have these in some rooms (not ours). The place was spotless and also has a private beach (shingle stones) and numerous bars and a great main restaurant. The rooms were clean,, with balconies and always serviced. No issues with sunbeds pool or beach, We would recommend this hotel for any kind of break, adults only and never crowded when we went in October although there were many residents. A good atmosphere and the restaurant staff were lovely and warm in their wanting to please the guests. If I was to post a negative comment it would be that the hot buffet food element was never really hot unless it had just been put out but then again you are mass catering and that food was not really cold. Towards the end of the season the daily entertainment became more sparse but the beach bar was always a good place to hang out. I took one star off for the food not being always hot but it is a great hotel to stay at, the rooms were lovely and nothing was too much for the staff when you asked a question. We felt relaxed and enjoyed our week at the Aquagrand, we would return there.…
Just to back up the review I previously wrote in August, I paid a visit to this amazing place for another week this October (only eight weeks since we left) !! I had to see if it was really as good as I said .... and again it did not disappoint. The temperature was perfect and the hotel and scenery has to be one of the best in Greece. However as I said before it is Mr Panagiotis and his amazing hospitality team that are the true difference ... His service and attention to detail are possibly unmatched (and I have been lucky to stay in some amazing hotels around the world) and he is probably the best of the best. Obviously this translates through to the staff too .... If he is there next year we will definitely be back as soon as the hotel opens in May .... Actually the whole package was great value all round ... Big thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcome again ! A perfect end to a strange year !! Minor suggestion - like everyone we were drinking a lot of bottled water and some well placed green recycling bins for the plastic bottles would probably be useful ... The gym needs some serious rethinking !…
The Aquagrand Hotel is THE most beautiful hotel in Lindos!! The service and staff are wonderful! Helpful and friendly. Amazing food. Stunning location next to the beach with beautiful cliff views. We booked a sea view room and weren’t disappointed with the view from the room and the comfort the room afforded. The whole of the hotel is just so beautiful. The pool area and the beach areas are stunning and well maintained. Myself and my husband went with Jet2.holidays. The friendly rep arranged an excursion to Symi which was lovely also. The transfer time from the airport is 1 hour with private transfer. Lindos town is a 5 minute drive away with lovely restaurants and nice shops. If you want luxury with wonderful service and brilliant staff set in a beautiful location; then book The Aquagrand Hotel please. It is a stunning hotel! You will not regret it. Get it booked for next year!!…
