The Lindos Sun Hotel garners high praise for its exceptional service, with staff members frequently described as friendly and professional. The rooms are cozy and sometimes feature unique swim-up pools, though opinions vary, as some guests find them basic for a 4-star establishment. Cleanliness is a standout quality, with consistently spotless facilities.
While the amenities including the pool and dining areas are well-received, minor room feature issues have been noted. The hotel's value for money receives mixed reviews, but many guests are enchanted by the tranquil and charming atmosphere.

We had a wonderful two week stay at The Lindos Sun Hotel. Our room was a Superior room with private patio and pool. The room itself was spacious with a really comfortable bed. It was so nice to spend the day beside your own pool, cooling down whenever you fancied. The room had a mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, wardrobe space with drawers, plenty of plug points and a really efficient air conditioner. The bathroom was equipped with complimentary toiletries and a fantastic powerful shower with plenty of hot water.
The Hotel itself has a lovely family feel, well maintained and always so clean and tidy.
Breakfast and evening meal were by buffet, however, the quality of the food and variety of menus was very good. The buffet was served by very attentive Staff. There was also a Chef available to cook Waffles, Pancakes etc. Egg’s were cooked fresh and to the style required.
The pool restaurant served delicious food throughout the day at really reasonable prices. The communal pool was very large with plenty of sun beds, free issue of pool towels was also provided.
As a special mention, all the Staff were absolutely brilliant. Their attitude and attentiveness towards their guests was outstanding. A massive thank you to them all for making us feel safe, whilst undertaking their daily duties, albeit under very difficult circumstances.
Regarding hygiene, all Staff wore mouth and nose coverings at all times. All cutlery was set at the tables sealed in plastic bags. There were hand sanitiser stations everywhere. Social distancing was encouraged and enforced. Well done to the Management and Staff at Lindos Sun Hotel for taking such care in difficult times.

I’m staying this week it was very last minute,
But sometimes I think booking something without thinking about it to much can work out better.
This hotel has not disappointed me whatsoever
My room has a sizeable balcony with sea view
Sleeps 3 which it would without feeling cramped. The room has a kettle ample towels, large builtin wardrobe with plenty of hangers, hairdryer in the bathroom. If you need a towel for the pool/beach they can be picked up at reception.
I have to say my feeling would be this is not a hotel with younger children, no slide into the pool and inflatables are not permitted.
So Lindos itself is a good 25 minute walk or taxi €8.60 each way.
I have been into Rhodes on the bus (bus stop directly outside hotel on main road.it took about 75 minutes which was fine €6 well worth a visit.
I’ve walked every day to St Paul’s Beach really lovely (15 minutes) if you can book sun beds in advance with the restaurant Tambakio if not be sure to arrive early 10am
I would also like to mention I’m Vegan and always feel like I’m short changed when it comes to hotel food. However I can’t tell you how amazing the head chef has been. The food has been lovely a real treat.
This hotel has a wonderful feel about it very relaxed but smart. I will depart with very fond memories thank you Lindos Sun

The hotel is really nice, the staff extremely friendly and very professional. The food is varied and of a good standard served in buffet form, there is always something for everyone and the staff are on hand to assist you in any way they can. The pool area is nice with with plenty of sun beds and beautiful views of Navarone bay. There are two bars both serving a wide range of drinks and the pool bar serves food during the day which is very good and again the staff are really friendly. The location is okay, it’s a 20 minute walk into Lindos, which during the day is hard work, however there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel which is €1.80 per person, Lindos is where you find the nearest shops and bars outside of the hotel, The rooms are bright, modern and well maintained with a mini bar and all have a balcony or terrace, majority with beautiful sea views.
All very lovely however if you end up with the room we had (111) or one of the other three rooms next to us your view is of a large hill covered in rocks making for a grey outlook, not only that there is a large kitchen extractor fan right above the balcony which is noisy from early morning till late night and affects all four rooms. Unfortunately this did have a negative impact on our holiday, it made it uncomfortable to sit on the balcony due to the noise. I was offered an alternative room when I mentioned this, but it was just a couple of rooms along and was still affected by the noise, the receptionist stated there was no other rooms available so we declined as it made no difference. Over all we had great holiday and made the best of the balcony issue but this has influenced this review and turned it from a 5 into a 4 rating.

We have recently returned for a 10 day stay at this amazing hotel! It was fantastic!!
The room was cleaned well every day and our own private pool was definitely worth it with lovely views out to sea.
The hotel is in a quiet location about 1 mile out of lindos centre, but the bus stop outside has you there in no time and only costs €1.80 ew.
The only negative and reasoning for the 4 stars is in regards to food allergies. Whilst it is good that some foods are labelled with allergens, not every item was. One of the food signs did not say it contained the allergen one of our party was allergic to (egg) but upon checking with the chef, he said it did contain egg. False labelling is worse than no labelling at all and far more dangerous!
Other than the half hearted attitude towards allergies, this really is an amazing hotel run by caring, friendly and dedicated staff. We would definitely return and recommend it to others.

Dear Guests, Thank you very much for your kind review and for bringing to our attention the food allergies issue you encountered. We take food allergies as well as food and general health and safety very seriously. For this reason and after discussing this issue with our chef, we decided to remove all signs on the buffet that note the allergens in the food described and keep the records in a separate folder. As you can imagine, every supplier might or might not use allergens to prepare food such as biscuits, pastries etc. So in case a Guest is allergic, we need to be informed and our chef will guide you through our buffet daily for a safer consumption. Hopefully this will be helpful to our future Guests as well. We all look forward to seeing you again soon!

This really is a very nice hotel. They get everything right here, and we had a great holiday.
We were here at the end of the pandemic, so the place was deserted. We had to wear gloves and masks at the buffet, and cutlery was sealed in plastic bags.
We paid for a triple room, and Seva found us a lovely one: up on the first floor, with a panoramic sea view and a nice big balcony.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Goats roam the hillside behind. It's mostly only 2 storeys high, and it's full of quirky details. We loved it.
The grounds are magnificent. There is a lot of Bougainvillea, as well as Hibiscus and Jasmine. There are lemon and apricot trees, and many types of cactus and succulent. There is a herb garden in the bar. Sam googled for us some trees we'd never seen before.
The food in the restaurant is outstanding. We all put on weight.
We often had lunch in the pool bar. We especially loved the pizzas.
Sheets and towels were changed every day, and the ladies left us little tubes of shampoo and shower gel.
The maintenance man was responsive. We reported a fault one day, and it was fixed within half an hour.
Daniel and Antonis on the pool bar, Stelios in the restaurant, and George and Lena in reception all seemed to have very little to do at the time. But they didn't let the boredom affect them, and we got on fine with them all
It's hard to find fault with Lindos Sun. We had a memorable holiday, and we'd like to return.

This is a lovelly little hotel in a great location with excellent customer service.
Great choice and quality of food
Clean rooms, I would recommend that if you can afford it to book a larger oom, the increase in the room size and quality is more than worth the additional cost.
The pool area is well maintained and clean, the pool is heated and 25m long, so a good size for such a small hotel. We never had a problem getting a sunbed.
There are two bars, a day time 'beach bar' supporting the pool, providing food and drinks. in the evening there is a cocktail bar.
The staff are incredibly helpful and the customer service is great.
Also a brilliant location close to Lindos, 15 minute walk, 5 minutes bus or taxi.
One minor issue the wifi was a bit variable around the site and nor always reliable.

Recently stayed at the Lindos sun at the 4th attempt due to covid. We stayed for 2 weeks and were not disappointed. Reception while very friendly slightly slow, but ok. we had a private pool room which in our opinion was well worth the supplement. Room was simply furnished but very comfortable, Katrina (housekeeping) kept the room spotless. The maintenance man (didn’t get his name always kept pool and sunbathing area spotless. Food throughout the hotel was very good with lots of choice and always plentiful supplies. Good service at bar and pool bar, pool bar was excellent food also. Special mention to restaurant staff Sam (Manager) and Marylena (apologies for spelling), always cheerful and helpful.
Only recommendation would be to tone down the music from bar area of an evening, or play some softer Greek music?
No complaints just an observation, we had a lovely holiday and thank all the staff for that.
We will be back at some point for sure

We spent 2 weeks at the Lindos Sun ,end of July to mid August , there are pros and cons to this Hotel . The moment we entered the hotel and checked in we were made to feel very very welcome. We have 3 growing children so opted for 2 x Triple rooms which consisted of a King Size bed and a armchair pull-out bed, which according to my 13 year old son wasn't very comfortable. The rooms are lovely , clean, and the bathrooms are very nice. The room size however was on the smaller size for 3 people, especially when you're getting ready to go out. We found it easier for 1 person to get ready at a time. The AC was only on if you were in the room, so if you went onto the balcony for a glass of wine or to read a book, you couldn't close the door because there aren't any handles on the outside of the balcony doors, therefor the AC turned off. Also you only get one key, no spares, we had a 13 yr old boy and 2 girls aged 14 and 17, who at some points during the holiday wanted to go to bed a little earlier than we did , which would have been fine if we had a spare key, however we were told they don't supply spare keys so we would have to knock on the door , and wake our son up to let us in????.
The staff are amazing and couldn't do enough for us, special thanks go to Sam at Thallis cocktail bar , his cocktails of the month are amazing. Not to mention Anatonis the waiter hope I've spelt that correctly , all the waiting staff in the restaurant were amazing and work really hard, to many names however you know who you are, thank you.
The chefs also deserve a mention working tirelessly in hot kitchens cooking amazing food which was never boring , or dull or repetitive, not to mention having to wear face coverings during their shift.
The pool area is one of the nicest I've seen, lots of loungers, beautiful pool, great service from Daniel and the lady chef at the pool bar and kitchen, again working extremely hard under very hot conditions, as we were in the middle of a heat wave and day time temperatures went up to 46c.
We hired a car for a week spread over the holiday and visited 8 or 9 beaches , Lindos beach was our favourite. Also Lindos town is beautiful and having an evening meal overlooking the Acropolis, is one of my most memorable nights.
Thank you Lindos Sun.

Visited this hotel with friends as we were looking at wedding venues in Lindos and we used the Lindos Sun Hotel as our base for the 3 day trip. What a find.. up on the hill overlooking the bay. We booked a room with a private pool which was worth every penny. And actually very reasonable as we were at end of season and covid has kept tourism quiet. The room was immaculate and looked like it had been hewn from white marble. Stunning. Everything was white apart from the contrasting blue pool towels provided. The restaurant was bright and airy and although food was great, because of covid, the buffet had to be served to you.. which is completely understandable but there were not enough staff to do this. So whilst you could have your omelette freshly done, it got cold while you waited for someone to come along to get you some bread or other bits from the buffet. Wasnt really an issue as we ate dinner out. The bar area was stunning and done out taverna style, open air overlooking the bay. Cant comment on the main pool as didnt use it, but looked lovely and clean with sunbeds well spaced out for safety. Taxi into Lindos was about 8eur or you could walk in 20mins or so but very hilly. Or alternatively at the lindos sun, you are half way to Pefkos..Also worth a visit. Highly recommend and will definitely be back next year.

Had a lovely 7 night stay at Lindos Sun. The location is great as its peaceful but you can easily pop into Lindos or Pefkos within 10 minutes or just chill at the hotel. Lindos is walkable but its uphill and with the heat it is easier to catch the bus that runs past the hotel or hop in a taxi - the reception staff will book one upon request. This is a family run hotel and the staff are amazing very welcoming and can't do enough for you. We had a superior room with sea view - the bed is the comfiest bed I have ever had in a hotel room and there was a mini bar, kettle to make hot drinks and complimentary toiletries provided along with a hair dryer. We had booked half board so had breakfast & dinner each night. There is plenty of choice to eat from the buffet but additionally the option to have food cooked to order which for breakfast was omelette, fried eggs or pankcakes. A coffee or tea were included. For dinner there is an a la carte menu which has a selection of meat, fish or vegetarian dishes - we tried a few options and all were excellent. As for the desserts on offer these were quite simply works of art and have to be seen to be believed. We had a late flight on our last day and were unable to extend our room due to being fully booked however there is a shower room beside the pool bar which again has complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer so we were able to have a shower before our transfer pick up. Towels are provided from reception for use at the pool and there is a lovely pool bar serving snacks, meals & drinks. At night the hotel bar serves a great selection of cocktails. One thing we noted was that we were automatically prompted to sign for any food and drinks that were not included in the half board which meant charging it to the room. This is fine if you are happy to settle this when checking out but we preferred to sometimes just pay for these so we were not running up a large final bill. The hotel is lovely and we would definitely stay here again if we are back in Rhodes.

To be honest, Caroline, I cannot remember. I suppose that if you are really that fussy about the direction in which your pool faces, I would work out exactly what you are after, and speak to the hotel.
In general, though, I never had a problem with Lindos Sun. It is a terribly good hotel, and I have no hesitation in recommending the place.

No it didn't freeze ice. But fridge was nice & cold for drinks
Carol,
I have always found Lindos Sun to be a terribly well run hotel.
The bar is open until at least midnight for drinks, and if you let them know your eta, and ask nicely, they might keep a cold meal for you, as they did for me on one occasion.
Does that help?
