These are the nicest and best hosts we have come accross in Italy (outside of family). The breakfast is incredible and the rooms fantastic. Excellent value. We went on a walk in the evening from Il Ceppo and it was like walking back in time. Stone walls, olive trees and peace. You will love this place

Il Ceppo is just north of Siena, Italy on the SR 2, a 10 minute drive to the north gate, Porta Camollia. It's convenient to stay here if you have a car and wish to visit Siena and the surrounding area. Breakfasts are sumptuous. You will get a basket of biscuits and Kellogg's cereal, a basket of Tuscan bread (like...

One couple in our party had previously stumbled on to this Tuscan gem and insisted we stay here on our trip promising a wonderful experience. And they were certainly right. We were treated like royalty and fed as such. Every morning was an abundant and varied breakfast of eggs, meats, cheeses and homemade pastries. They also offered a wonderful lunch...

Friendly and full of value! The breakfast is plenty and full of Tuscany products. The host is very friendly and helpful, surely I will go back there soon! The room are nicely decorated and the aperitivo is informal but tasty if you love Italian cheeses and cured meats.

This was our 2nd stay at the b&b. The rooms are very large and the accommodations are very modern. Very centrally located to see all the walled cities, chianti region and of course Siena . The owner of Ceppo, will be more happy every morning to assist you in planning your day. Your day of course will start with a...

Rooms where clean and spacious. Breakfast was amazing - lots of food, variety of dishes. But most of all, the place is managed and ran by an the friendliest team of people. They were attentive, gave great advice and recommendation, and made every effort to make our stay great. We originally planned on staying just one night, but enjoyed the...

We spent two days here. The B&B is very clean and has spacious, very confortable rooms. The owner is extremely friendly and the food (breakfast and lunch) was absolutely great. You definitely need a car in case you want to stay here, as it is located directly on the road between Monteriggione and Siena. Great accommodation!

Il Ceppo is located a few kilometres West (ish) of Siena and is an ideal stopping point on the cycling version of the via Francigena. We arrived here after 115k of cycling and were greeted with a refreshing glass of beer and some snacks. The bikes were safely locked away in a shed. Whilst Il Ceppo does not provide an...

my wife and I stayed four nights at Il Ceppo B&B in May 2015. We LOVED it for these reasons 1) our host Lello was amazing. Warm welcome, recommended destinations and scenic drives. 2) Like everyone else says, breakfast is amazing. We felt bad because we could never come close to finishing it. Check the user pictures for what the...

We stayed for 3 nights last summer and we still talk about the great times we had at the hotel. Bring your appetite, breakfast isn't modest and the generosity of the host is legendary. Also, don't think you can get to your room without having at least a glass of local wine, Raphael won't allow it ;) Rooms were clean,...
