My husband and I booked for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The villa's location is perfect - so close to Monteriggioni and a short drive to many towns including Siena and San Gimignano. It is so peaceful and a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Our room was huge and we also had... More

Wonderful people and place.peaceful. Their own olive oil! Flowers in yard and meals very good. I gave it a 5 star! I am walking along the Francigena through Tuscany and this place was a welcome sight! I am traveling with Sloways and they made his reservation, thank them! Americans should try this trail!

Out in the country, very pretty setting. Rooms large with nice bathrooms, although ours had steps down to our bathroom. Spacious and comfortable. Made the mistake of having dinner there. We had turkey served in what tasted like a teriyaki sauce; it was edible, but for 35 euros each, it was the worst meal we had in our 2 weeks... More

A wonderful place 1 kilometer outside Montereggio, up on a hill through a forest. An old estate made into a kind of boutique hotel. Pitoresque rooms ,a beautiful patio , swimmingpool , restaurant.13 hotelrooms , and 1 small apartment made for self -catering . We were the first guests this season but everything functioned and we were all very satisfied... More

6-day stay, peaceful, very friendly host. Beautiful surroundings, amidst the woods, we heard wild boar, when we looked out our window one morning we saw two roe deer, and when we drove away the first evening to have dinner in a nearby village a fox was captured in the frontlights of our car; the animal didn't really seem to care... The Borgo was just what we wanted, comfortable, charming, friendly and in a lovely location in the Tuscan Hills. Alessandro the host was amazing -- he booked Ufizzi tickets for us, picked us up after a long day hike when there were no buses running back to Monteriggioni, drove us to and from dinner on a night when the Borgo... This is in a great location for seeing the Tuscany area. It is an 13th century villa with beautiful grounds. I is very close to the walled town of Monteriggioni. The dirt road leading to the villa is not in good shape. Alysandro was very helpful and the breakfast was good. I would drive to Monteriggioni for dinner because the... More

A wonderful retreat after visiting the ancient cities nearby. Dinner served each night if required, although limited chouce( understandably) and restaurant a little lacking in atmosphere. Could do with some soft music. Breakfast was great, really sets you up for the day.

What a great place, very nice setting in 40,000 square meters. Alexander the owner is wonderful. The rooms are basic but extremely comfortable, breakfast basic but fresh, the croissant freshly cooked. Dinner, to be ordered in the morning, is so good, but served early for my taste. Order the house chianti, Very good.

e enjoyed our stay in this centuries old house. The room was spacious, the courtyard and grounds just lovely and the host more than accommodating. We didn't think much of our dinner, which other reviewers recommended strongly. The 4 course menu was very ordinary, not very tasty and no effort at presentation. The one server for 8 tables was all... More
