This two bedroom self-catering holiday home is exquisite. I could live here all year! It is small and perfectly set up for 4-6 people. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is, perhaps, a little cramped but you can always adapt to a situation. The bathroom, with spa shower, was great although the ever changing colours made choosing... More

Our family of four stayed in this wonderful place for a week in November. We were excited about our accommodation from the moment we were led through the charming wrought iron gate into a sweet little walled terrace/courtyard and through the wooden french doors into our apartment. Beauitifully decorated, just as I would expect a Tuscan apartment in a walled... More

We stayed at this Monteriggioni apartment for almost a week in September. The place was fantastic, had a real castle feel, and fully furnished with anything you'd need on a trip including a DVD library. We got groceries in town and were able to cook great Italian dishes. The restaurants within the fortress were all really good, too, though and... More

This was my favorite spot on our trip in Italy. My two boys (14 and 9) got to climb on top of the castle walls. I shopped in a few quaint shops where I bought pasta and a few gifts. It was cool and it was in July. It was quiet. NO crowds. I repeat NO crowds. After being in... More

We spent a week here in Sep and this is a perfect place to stay for visiting the towns of Tuscany. It's an easy drive to Siena, San Gimignano, Firenze, Volterra, the Chianti region and even Lucca. The little house is beautifully furnished with antiques and lovely paintings. The queen-sized bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is furnished with... More

I spent a week at Monteriggioni Castello in May this year, with my sister and our mother. We had been looking for a very special place, as the whole trip was to be our mother’s birthday gift (she is 70). It turned out everything we wished for. An authentic, old little house that had been thoughtfully and stylishly renovated, retaining... More

Look no further - you are onto a winner! Our excitement levels were rising as we drove up the hill, past the car park for "tourists", through the gate in the medieval fortress wall and through the marble-paved piazza to a second piazza where we found our cottage. Elisabetta was there to meet us. She showed us into their private... More

We really did enjoy our stay here. The ambience is nice and typical for the village and the surrounding. It is quiet, except for the churchclock keeping you up in time - not too early and not after noon - not disturbing at all. “This is self-catering NOT an hotel. The places to eat in Monteriggioni are expensive”

“The hotel next door can be a little noisy especially if there is a function on. But we found the shutters on the windows blocked out most of it if they were closed during these periods. There is only one main bedroom with double which is very comfortable or the other room which has two singles. Both rooms are beautifully furnished as is all the villa.”

“Upon arrival don't be shy to drive directly thru the castles narrow opening and straight forward just past the charming church. Hotel on right.”
