This is a wonderful boutique hotel on the shores of Lake Garda in Limone Sul Garda. We had a family room with a lake view terrace (and boy what view, probably never had better in any hotel Ive stayed in). The room was well appointed and very comfortable and excellent value for money. Its not a plush luxury hotel but extremely comfortable and everything worked well. the staff are lovely and personable. Breakfast on the terrace was delightful. Everything you hope for in. a small Italian hotel. Its. bit out of the main part of the town (which I like) but it is a bit of walk to the main part of Limone. We liked this as it gets very crowded during the day with the day trippers and you can escape back to the hotel where the crowds mostly don't venture and enjoy the serenity. There is access to a very nice private pool and beach on Lake Garda which I enjoyed. Limone its self is simply gorgeous (crowds can be an issue) and eating out was fab. All in all one of my most favourite experiences I Italy out of many. I would definitely go again and stay in this very relaxing place.

We've been in the "Locanda Ruscello" 3 times: 2002, 2003, 2005. All the rooms we had were very spacious and lovely furnished. The buffet breakfast is very good (fresh fruits and cake, cappuchino, espresso on demand), in summer you can eat outside overlooking the lake.
It is a little walk to the city centre of Limone (5-10 minutes), the hotel is very quiet, almost all rooms have lake view. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel doesn't have an own swimming pool but one can use the pool of the nearby hotel "Villa Romantica".
The "Locanda Ruscello" is really worth a stay...

We have just returned from a week at the Locanda Ruscello and were so impressed with the hotel . The rooms were bright and clean and well furnished, the breakfast second to none and the attention of the staff, Tanja, Manuela and Vilma helped to make our stay so enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made us so welcome. Our rooms had fabulous lake views, probably the best in Limone and the peace and tranquility of it's position helped to make it the best hotel we have stayed in.

We stayed at Locanda Ruscello after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and we agree it deserves its high rating. The rooms are beautiful - tiled in cool blue and terracotta, with pine and wicker furniture, and the beds are comfortable (a rarity in my experience in Italy). The breakfasts are fine - influenced by the predominantly German crowd - and the service is wonderful. Its location among the olive groves is serene and when the sun rises over the mountains on the eastern shore, you know life doesn't get any better.

The only caveat I would have is that the Locanda Ruscello is a good 15min walk up and down a rolling street from Limone old quarter. If you have poor mobility, or don't fancy the prospect of doing an up and down 15 min walk 4 times a day, you might do better at a hotel closer to the centre. Similarly, the hotel itself only has stairs, although one room on the ground floor is kitted out for guests with mobility difficulties. There is parking onsite too, so if you have a car, it's less of a problem.

Oh, I'd skip the coffee as well - much nicer stuff can be had for a euro or two in town.

What more can I say...
We arrived at the Locanda Ruscello for a short post wedding break before embarking on our main Honeymoon adventure.

The hotel is small and friendly, the rooms are clean and well furnished, and the views are perhaps some of the best in Limone, if not on the whole of lake Garda.
Breakfast is a simple continental affair and there is no restaurant, but Limone has plenty of places to eat out.
There is also a small bar where you can pick up a beer or a bottle of wine after returning from dinner.

The hotel is located about 10 mins walk from the centre of Limone which is a beautiful little town and perfect for romantic couples.

Paying the little extra for a suite is well worth it! There is no air conditioning in the rooms or refrigeration, but the breeze from the lake makes up for it and you can always ask for ice from the bar.
The room was on two levels, with a seating area, bathroom and large balcony on the upper level, and a bedroom area and small balcony on the lower level. it was very spacious.

In my view the hotel is excellent value for money and I will definitely be going back.

The hotel (and Limone in general) is very popular with Germans and Austrians, we were the only Brits in the hotel - but we were after a bit of privacy and peace so that was fine by me...

If its peace and quiet, coupled with stunning views that you are after, and you want to avoid those package tours in large hotels, with the enforced entertainment and buffet dinners, then this is the place for you.

My family and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Locanda Ruscello in Limone, Lake Garda. What a delight! The staff, in particular Tanja, Manuella and Vilma, were friendly and accommodating
throughout the whole week, and made our stay such a lovely experience. The hotel is beautifully positioned, with fabulous views over the lake. The rooms are spacious, clean and airy with all the amenities that you would expect. We were particularly happy with the bathroom facilities and the lovely balcony view. The breakfast, particularly when served on the terrace, was a great experience, especially the home made bread and marmalade! The hotel had a lovely relaxed family feel and this was reflected in the overall atmosphere of the Locanda Ruscello. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough,
and look forward to going back one day!

The Locanda Ruscello is a delightful, small, family run hotel close to the shore of Lake Garda, and is a very pleasant 10 minute walk from the beautiful town of Limone. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel most welcome - nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were plentiful and it was good to be able to sit out and eat on the terrace overlooking the lake. The rooms were clean, well decorated and well furnished. We could not fault this hotel in any way and will definitely be back next year.

On our way back form Tuscany we stayed here only for one night (unfortunately). Very nice spacious room with balcony more than worth the value. The hotel is located perfect with splenid view over the lake. Just a little stroll into the touristy town for nice fish-dinner and drinks.

Very friendly staff and good breakfast.

Had a great time here, especially thanks to the jaw-dropping views. We don't usually spend much time in hotels but the views were so spectacular we were happy to hand around and sit on the balcony. The room was large and clean, the whole hotel was very pleasant, more modern than I expected (I was expecting it to be more oldy worldy) but still with a Italian flavour. Only downside worth noting was when we discovered they charge per person not per room. Even at twice as much as we expected, however, the hotel was great... and that's saying a lot.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during September 2008. It has a great location being about a 15 minute walk from the centre of the resort. The rooms are quite large have a balcony with stunning views.Tanya and Manuela are your excellent hotel staff who will help with all your holiday needs. A beautiful continental breakfast with Manuela`s delicious home made cake is served from 0730. There is ample private parking and free use of a pool at an adjacent hotel. Although our favourite restaurant was "Gemma" there are plenty of places to try including the fine dining "Gato Borracho" if you feel plush. This is a perfect choice to explore the beauty of Lake Garda.
