Based on the details on the Jet2 website, I booked this hotel and paid a supplement to have a sea view. The hotel is described as a4star but I would dispute that as the building was very tired, the room facilities basic and far from luxurious. The outdoor pool is very small and there weren’t enough loungers or sun umbrellas for every guest The staff were absolutely excellent, which is more than I can say for the very limited breakfast offering, which did not include freshly cooked choices as there was no breakfast chef on duty, and the fresh fruit consisted of no more than three choices daily. Fortunately, I was not booked for dinner in the hotel and was able to eat some excellent restaurants in the resort. The main problem for me was that my anticipated sea view was barely visible in the distance and my main Vista was of large buildings and the hotel car park. I raised these concerns with the Jet2 in resort team and the holiday rep, but without much success. If few days after my return my return on 21st of September I made contact with Jet2 in the UK, and it has taken until 29th of November to reach a resolution. I am very surprised and incredibly disappointed by their complete lack of customer service. They did everything in their power to delay, prevaricate and generally hold up things making me wonder if they hoped I would eventually give up the fight. Nothing was actually achieved until I contacted the CEO direct I am pleased to confirm that I have received an amount of compensation which is not as much as the extra charge for the sea view, but it became more about the principle involved. I was informed that I should have realised that an uninterrupted sea view is not guaranteed and this is actually in their terms and conditions so I shall be very wary of booking a holiday with Jet2 again in the near future and I would advise anyone to read the small print very very thoroughly to make it difficult for them to dispute what they are actually offering.

Our overall experience in relation this hotel was disappointment. Beyond reception the hotel was tatty, the rooms, while very clean, were dated and way below what would be expected of a 4 star hotel. The shower had a curtain as opposed to a screen which I would only have expected in a budget hotel or hostel, not pleasant. We upgraded two rooms, at a cost from classic to club, only to find the rooms were exactly the same but one floor up. The pool area has not been maintained for years, the flags are cracked and uneven and grates open and broken. Cigarette butts and litter are not cleaned away each day despite all drinks glasses being removed and sun loungers tidied up. We also felt that the hotel did the all inclusive option begrudgingly and felt we were treated differently and a little second rate to the 'pay as you go' guests. This was unacceptable given that we have already paid up front! Non AI guests received table service for drinks and food around the pool. Snacks available, only one hour a day, were served on a plate, non AI guests food was presented on a wooden board with a little bucket of fries and salad garnish. Not exactly a problem but just made us feel unwelcome. There is generally a feeling that they really do not want AI guests, there is very little included, not the indoor pool and spa, not the sun loungers on the beach, not even bats and balls for sports. From the AI description on our Jet2 booking we believed the facilities at the sister hotel the Dom Pedro Marina to be included also. As there was only one restaurant at the Golf hotel this was one of the reasons we booked to give us a change. We called in at the Marina hotel and to be certain asked at reception about the use of the hotel and the AI element. We were told we were permitted to use all the facilities. This turned out not to be the case when we were presented with a 66 euro bill for drinks. This resulted in an extremely embarrassing situation at the hotel reception. Our Jet2 representative was able to sort the matter out and we were reimbursed, but this took a number of days and faff, not exactly relaxing on holiday. We feel this hotel to be due a reinspection as it is definitely no longer a 4 star hotel or experience. Most days we were woken by golfers in the corridors going out early to play. Then every afternoon they would return and rightly enjoy themselves around the pool. Unfortunately for the rest of the guests this included their own very loud music in addition to the hotel music and loud leary behavior. The hotel needs to choose who it is aiming its services at and currently it is not suitable for anyone not golfing. The evening entertainment was dire and held in the hotel bar which has absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever. On a positive note most staff were warm amd welcoming, with the exception of one of the bar men who was very grumpy indeed. On our return I emailed our findings in way of feedback, not complaint to Jet2 and eventually received a dismissive and bland reply. However I now note that this hotel no longer offer an all inclusive option...I rest my case!

Staff friendly but the room was dated and not maintained. Bathroom sink cracked. Grout missing in between tiles in bathroom. A flimsy curtain over the bath as a shower provision. More water on the floor than in the bath. Could be a good 4 star hotel if money spent. At the moment I would rate it as a 2 star.

Limited seating in the unit, no kitchenette or laundry, which would have been nice. The view was incredible and the hot tub was a nice feature, though I would have traded it for the above-mentioned kitchenette or w/d. Air conditioning is as anemic but we opened the sliders for a good air flow. If we were visiting in the summer, I think it would have been more of a problem. The included breakfast was a great amenity!

This is an excellent hotel, close to all the amenities of the town, very clean, attentive staff at all levels and their food is very good, the breakfasts were exceptional and the evening dinners although served buffe style had some great choices and was presented beautifully. Their evening entertainment were all first class singers and musicians in that it was not overly loud and over powering, very enjoyable indeed, I would highly recommend this hotel

Just back from a week at Dom Pedro Vilamoura booked through Jet2. Had a fabulous time, can't speak highly enough of the hotel and staff. Reception answered every query, were incredibly helpful with bus timetables, etc. Restaurant and bar staff very friendly and professional, cleaning staff very efficient. Hotel is well maintained and exceptionally clean throughout. All staff work really hard. Our room was large with a decent balcony, good bathroom and lots of space for personal belongings. Safe fee was an additional 25 euros, but 10 euros refunded on return of key insert. We booked bed and breakfast but also had lunch at pool bar. Food was reasonably priced and excellent quality. We had fantastic weather, 27 degrees every day for first week in October. Pool area was busy but loads of sunbeds and free pool towels available. The pool gardens are really beautiful with lots of exotic trees and local birds. The beach bar, Buzio's, is owned and run by the Dom Pedro and it's fantastic. Prices are reasonable, plenty of wines to choose from (sangria included, of course!) and menu is varied. Make sure you join the Dom Pedro loyalty club to get a discount on food and wine bills and beach sunbeds. This is a golfer's paradise so there were a few groups of golfers, including some ladies. All groups were very well behaved and well mannered, no probs, they all just wanted a good time, which was had by all. We booked the spa one afternoon, so had a swim in the indoor pool, used the sauna and jacuzzi and had a massage. A really nice treat and, again, staff in the spa were lovely and the treatments were reasonably priced (especially with the loyalty card discount). Lots to do in Vilamoura. Supermarket and local bars/restaurants all close to the hotel. Beaches, the Marina, Roman ruins and Quarteria are all within walking distance. Albufeira is a bus or taxi ride, approx. 40-45 minutes. Beaches are incredible and endless. Sea can get a bit rough with the Atlantic rollers but it's well worth taking a deep breath and plunging in for a swim. The tourist train is worth catching, it takes you to areas of Vilamoura you probably wouldn't visit, including some fabulous properties that require a lottery win to buy. My sister and I really enjoyed our stay here and will be back with friends and family. Neither of us could think of anything negative about this hotel and we'll recommend it to our families and friends, as well as making a return visit, hopefully next year. A big thank you to hotel staff!

No complaints whatsoever. The hotel is ideally situated for the beach, Marina and promenade walk to Quarteira, it is tasteful, clean and all the social areas are really lovely and restful. Rooms large and clean with the beds made and towels changed everyday. Beds are comfortable but we found the pillows a little too full to sleep on? Live music in the lobby most nights. Food was always nicely presented, tasty with plenty of choice and a beautiful dining area inside and out with attentive staff always on hand. The staff, every, single, one, were always helpful, friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The 2 pools are beautiful and there are always more than enough empty sunbeds whatever time you turn up. The gardens are also well taken care of and near enough to everything going on. We will be back!

Dom Pedro is situated close to the beach in Vilamoura and about a 15 minute walk from the Marina. It is a clean hotel with nice gardens surrounding the pool. The gardens has plenty of space to sunbathe or sit in the shade & the pool was a good size. I personally prefer to go to the beach but the cost for two sunbeds & an umbrella was €45 a day. So we mainly stuck to the hotel pool area. Apparently there was a free discount card that we could have used on the beach & one of the beach restaurants but this hadn’t been offered to us by the reception. We were all inclusive but as two vegetarians we probably wouldn’t opt for this option again. The staff seemed polite and more friendly as the stay progressed. The marina bars & restaurants were excellent & we find two bars playing live music that we loved! The Atlantic Piano bar & the irish pub behind it.

Dear guest, Thank you for staying at our Hotel and for taking the time to tell us about your stay. We were delighted to know that you appreciated our location and service provided by our staff. Nonetheless, we would like to inform that the 2 sunbeds and umbrella in our beach is 24€ full day but the one next to ours is more expensive. Also our loyalty card is available to join at any time to get all the discounts. We have taken note of your comments and it is a feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience and hope to receive you again soon! Sincerely, Dom Pedro Vilamoura team
