Average Swiss hotel, food and drinks are over priced. But the jazz concerts in the Q4 club are worth the stay!!! Rooms have thin walls, and the bathroom in my room was claustrophobic at best. No mini bar, no room service...So be prepared. All the staff I interacted with were super friendly, very efficient and helpful.

Dear guest, Thank you for your feedback about your stay with us. We are glad that you enjoyed the jazz concert of Q4. We also organise jazz concerts in partnership with the Ja-ZZ club, and the David Regan Orchestra. Our 23 rooms are very different because of the structure of the old building. We hope you will stay with us...

The hotel has a very good location in rheinfelden and the staff is really helpful. The rooms are quite old and I could hear the people walking on the hall as well as the floor as I walked. The breakfast is very limited although the service is quite good. In general for a 3* hotel it is a good hotel

The Schutzen's location is great--downtown. However the property is aging and is overdue for a face lift (e.g., the carpet had a tired, smelly carpet). The TV was ancient (a 12" tube-style, but we weren't there to watch TV).

I spent two days between my business trips between Basel and Zurich. The environment is beautiful and very historical. I enjoyed wallking to the Rhei river and to the German territory without passport. The Schuetzen Hotel staffs are kind to tell me the history and the environment of this hotel location and also I was able to enjoy a salt...

The only thing really keeping this hotel from getting a Very Good or even Excellent review is the fact that it did not have Wi-Fi in my room, and many other rooms as well. A group of us booked this hotel because we had a business conference in a nearby city, and many of us did not have Wi-Fi in...

To rectify this inconvenience for business guests, we plan to have Wi-Fi available throughout the entire hotel area including every guest room by end of January 2014. This is a lovely hotel with simple but clean and well appointed rooms and a great buffet breakfast and a very good restaurant. It's location close to the Rheinvelden station and bus stop makes it a winner especially if you are needing to travel to Kaiseraust.

I booked into this hotel due to the proximity to my office. Located in a nice village called Rheinfelden. Staff friendly and warm. No hesitation in helping. Can be a bit too quiet in the evening if you are not used to it but I prefer this location to staying in Basel (about 15 mins away).
