We spent 5 nights with two little kids at that beautiful place. The island is just gorgeous, with a few resorts and a wonderful snorkeling reef. Unfortunately the dive shop was yet to open (in November) due to low season. Besides beach / pool hangout and massage there’s two “hikes” you can make - one next to massage place going to Koh ngai island resort (about 20 minutes), the other one is a bit more demanding through the jungle, going to paradise beach (resort). The main beach is nicer though, ☺️ but the hike is scenic if you like the jungle and are prepared (lots of mosquitos and slippery at times). You can rent a kayak for 100thb/ hour. The reef is beautiful and a short swim away right in front of the resort. Unfortunately at low tide the corals are above sea level and I’ve seen tourists walk on the reef (there’s plenty of sandy areas in between..). To help maintain the reef health I’d put up a sign to prevent tourists from stepping on the coral. It was the best snorkeling we got to do in our 4 weeks around krabi / trang. The reef would be an additional reason to go there again. We stayed at bungalow 106, beachfront, right next to the restaurant which could be noisy at times (from 7am). Room service is good, the concierge and staff are super friendly and helpful. We loved to stay there, it was all easy going there. The garden has plumerias of all sizes and colors. ❤️ Hornbills come to sit and chat on the palm trees in the evening. Food wise we would have appreciated a little variation at breakfast and didn’t have lunch / dinner there often as the restaurant at fantasy resort next door was -sorry to say- better by far. Massage, too. Bring cash as in 2023 there is still no ATM on the island - you can pay hotel bills with credit card though. But not transfer, tours, restaurant visits etc. Enjoy…

We have stayed here to times with 4 years between. And it is just good. Friendly personal, clean and well keept areas and houses. The snorkeling is some off the best just off shore. Recommendable.

Actually I cannot rate the resort. At the reception everyone was nice. But I want to rate the dive center there. Joe is not ready and professional at all to run such business. Sorry to say but please forget diving at Ngai from this island. One dive center closed and as said Joe is not serious at all.

Amazing place to stay in the best location…..right on a beautiful clean sandy beach with fantastic snorkelling over a coral reef. The air-con was great, the barman in the beach bar was super friendly and made delicious cocktails. The menu/food was fantastic and all the staff were lovely. Big shout out to the Head Receptionist who managed to find us a boat to our Speed Boat collection on a Thai holiday when all the Long Boats were booked. Customer service above and beyond, thank you SOOOO much!!

Thanya Resort was like heaven to us! The property is located directly on the beach of a tiny Ngai island. We were staying in the sea view villa and the sea view was really spectacular! The villa itself is very spacious with a large balcony overlooking sea, sunrises and sunsets. We had more than enough space to store our belongings and the housekeeping made sure that it was sparkling clean everyday. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay. The beach is beautiful and calm, always clean with an easy to reach coral reef for snorkelling. The pool is good sized. The restaurant serves exceptional breakfast with different choices every day both Thai and continental. Also all our dinners were very fresh and tasty. The staff in the restaurant is very friendly and helpful. The front reception with always friendly, smily and polite Es is a place to go if in need of anything. They always find time to answer all questions and accommodate any need like arrangement of transportation. We found the size of Thanya Resort just perfect. Never crowded but having all the amenities we wanted. I can recommend this place wholeheartedly and we are already planning our return. Thank you Es for great memories!…

I don't think we wore shoes for our entire stay it was a truly relaxing stay... The food and drinks are to a high quality and reasonable cost (i.e. they don't take advantage of the isolation to hike prices) and everyone is so incredibly helpful, kind and friendly. Our stay included NY, which included a compulsory buffet, and which I usually avoid like the plague, but I have to concede it was the best we have ever experienced, both for quality and choice of food (which was cooked to order), and the ambience and the entertainment. When the host said from our family to yours it was genuine! I took a snorkelling longtail trip to Koh Kradan, but with hindsight the reef that can be waded to from the beach of Koh Ngai was better anyway. The beach is clean and un crowded and I cannot think of a better place to unwind. We stayed in a beach front room and to wake up to that view every morning was like continuing to dream...and the days ending in the oh so chilled Bamboo Bar listening to Ehiw's laid back blues will last long in our memories.....…

I can’t even put into words how amazing our stay was at Thanya Beach Resort. The staff were amazing from the moment we arrived. The food was out of this world and they actually listened when we said we like our food spicy 😁 Make sure you try the pancakes at breakfast, they were so yummy! The room was spotless and I especially loved the extra touches with their own lemongrass and mint shampoo/shower gel, conditioner and moisturiser. I have never smelt so good. Even the room would smell amazing when we would come back in that evening! We wish we had more time so that we could have stayed longer. We did extend our stay by one more night and they were brilliant at accommodating us. The place is absolute paradise. Thank you so much for the most perfect stay 🥰☀️

Thanya Beach Resort and Ko Ngai made our trip to Thailand pure magic. The beach in front of the hotel is one of the best of the island. The sand is white and the water is crystal clear. There are great snorkeling spots only some meters away from the beach. Another highlight of the hotel is its restaurant. All dishes served are superb and perfectly prepared. In my total of almost two months of travelling in Thailand this was the best food I tried. It made all sense as I heard that the hotel owner is also a chef of a Thai restaurant in London. Only the breakfast is kept pretty simple. There is also massage service run by experience masseurs. But for me there was nothing more relaxing than getting a cocktail at night, sit down in front of the beach and just listen to the sea. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. They organize for you some trips around and also the connection to mainland (for example straight to the Trang airport)…

to begin , when we arrived by longboat a beautiful beach with clean coral sand and clear waters greeted us , the staff were really welcoming with a arrival drink , we had garden rooms which faced the sea , the rooms were beautiful with free water and toiletries , the breakfast was fine with a good choice , the staff were amazing and polite , if you are looking for a quiet resort with a beautiful beach and no crowds then look no further , great for couples and families , there is other bars and restaurants just a short walk along the beach .

Little gem in the Andaman sea! Perfect for a 3 or 4 day break. The beach and the view are wonderful, the food is very good and all the staff are extremely nice and helpful! The rooms are quite basic and it can get a little noisy in the early morning but nothing crazy. Don’t forget to try their Pandan pancakes, they’re delicious :)
