Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We arrived after a last minute booking and as first time campers we was a little unsure what to expect. The reception staff were lovely and gave us the choice within a field to pitch without a limit on size (we had a large 8 birth tent). There was shower, toilet and drinking water facilities within a short distance. I was pleasantly surprised the showers were warm and upon showering the children after a day at the beach the shower room was heated. We ate at the on-site restaurant and it was average pub food, good value for money. Overall it was a pleasant and peaceful experience and we will be returning in the future.

Huge campsite with good facilities. Great on site pub with helpful and friendly staff. Pitches are a good size. My van broke down on the day we had to leave. The site staff could not do more to help, especially Jeff, who went above and beyond to make sure we got on the road again. Shower facilities are ok, a lot of negative reviews but I didn’t have an issue. All in all great value for money and an enjoyable holiday

Camped here in July/August. Very large site with plenty of facilities and things to do. The disgusting toilet blocks in the touring areas however completely ruined the experience. Not only are they incredibly basic and outdated, but they were not cleaned throughout our 7 night stay. We and many others complained multiple times, only for them to blame the people using them and suggest nobody else had mentioned the issues. The solution each time was to send the "caretakers". These people, an old bloke and young kid, didn't actually clean. They just unblocked toilets and replaced toilet roll. From witnessing them in their van their entire cleaning equipment consisted of the most worn out toilet brush every seen, a plunger, some loo roll and the odd bottle of bleach (which they didn't seem to even bother using). We assume the normal cleaner(s) were off during out stay as on our last day we witnessed a dumfounded female staff member asking these two "where is all your cleaning stuff!?" and a brief argument ensuing. Cleaning aside, none of the site's rules or the general camping etiquette applies here. It is noisy into the early hours, there's people constantly shouting and swearing, kids running around with imitation firearms, the rules on pitching are not applied consistently. There was even a generator in use at one point! It's a shame as it could be a really good site, in a great location with lots to do. Unfortunately the management seem to of taken a back seat somewhere.

Stayed here for one very long night. Was told to pitch tent under a huge floodlight. They call them streetlights but they are huge projections covering a lot of ground. Expected lights to be turned off come 11pmish but they stay on all night so it looked like daylight all night in the tent. Kids running and screaming after 12.3 midnight…… other campers talking at top of their voice all night long.

For the size of site and the price of the stay I was quite disappointed. They don’t have any recycling bins and every is just chucked into single, black refuse trade bins. As if it is 1990. Laundry services are terrible. I found 1 working washing machine. For how many people? This means you have to drive into town. Which is horrendous for traffic. I also couldn’t find any EV charging points. Coastfields has six of these. Butlins has them as well. Again this means you have to drive into town. Which again, you would want to avoid. Toilets and shower blocks are very basic. The washing up facilities don’t have plugs in the sinks. So you have to precariously balance your own washing bowl over the sink. The last site I had been to in Rutland has a camp site dishwasher. The pub is quite nice but could do with some evening entertainment. I think the site needs some investment.

I have camped for many years and this was by far the worst site we have ever stayed it. The amenaties blocked are dated and full of broken tiles, moldy grout, terrible drainage. Nowhere in the showers to put your things, or dry area to stand to get dressed. despite the cleaner doing an ok job when he was there - they were not cleaned or maintained often enough so resulted in loo roll running out, toilets being blocked by idiots putting lord knows what down them on a frequest basis. I know the site cant be blamed for the occupants - but there was noise every night into the small hours - 2-3am which is just not acceptable and nothing seemed to be done about it. People fighting, yelling etc police being called to site more than once in a weekend. Definitely not for us and we definitely wont be back.

Having visited and stayed at Skegness Water Leisure Park for several years my wife and myself recently became seasonal tourers at the park, we have always found the amenities, facilities and all the staff excellent, and would highly recommend this camp site. My wife and myself would also like to thank the staff for informing us and then securing the caravan awning during the high winds this bank holiday as we were unable to be on site.
