I’d give this 1 star if it was not for the good bar service and food there... We arrived at 1630 reception was closed. I called number on the door for a man to say, “oh, you’ve come have you?!” It turns out it was his day off the next day so wanted to be off I think! We were put on an electric pitch near reception even though I asked for non-electric. We have a solar powered camper and we always prefer a camping pitch as always more roomy! This was the worst pitch I’ve ever had crammed between other caravans. The toilets were absolutely filthy! Bar toilets pristine mind... The camp toilets had flies in them, were dark and were poorly cleaned once per day at most. COVID does not matter here... every other site on our trip since COVID have had cleaning rosters up but not here. They have no anti-bac gel anywhere on site. The toilets and showers need a deep clean! I think they just run a mop through once per week! To conclude- I’d not recommend here. One night for Ingoldmells maybe as it’s walking distance. If you have your own facilities too as they cater for long term let’s I feel. The reception is never open either so you have to phone a number for things like wash tokens etc. The bar is nice with friendly staff.

Booked here last minute as we should have been going abroad. So we booked a week asked for 2 pitches together. When we arrived we was taken to the end of the field so close we couldn’t get our awnings up we had to move slightly over and the awnings was still touching. They don’t half cram the caravans on. No privacy at all. Taps for filling up aqua rolls are ridiculous can’t even fit a hose on there. Not recommended for motorhomes. No we’re to empty waste on motorhomes No way of filling up the on board water tank ( had to use my aqua roll to fill up my dads Water in showers was way to hot and no way to turn it down. Lights only came on about 9pm so you had to shower in the dark. The site guy was driving around at 10.30 make sure everyone was packing up. We left at 11 went to reception to hand in the key and get our deposit back and he turned around And said you didn’t pay a deposit I said we did we gave you £10 in cash. Well it’s not in my book you said you had go cash machine. Erm no don’t think so! He reluctantly gave it us back and said it if turns out to be short he will be ringing for payment. Couldn’t believe the cheek of him! I wouldn’t recommend this site to cramped, ignorant staff and power shortages all time. I’ll stick to the elms in future. Location however is the only good thing about the site 10 mins to Ingoldmells.

After lock down we have always takeN my family here as I live here and never an issue with food until tonight . We ordered 6 meals and when they arrived they looked like kids meals my daughter had gammon it was that thin cut u could see the plate through a small chips which tasted funny and an egg my son in law opted for a beef Burger stack the beef burger was awful he said it tasted like plastic my husband and I had the pie but was so shocked the size of plate I felt embarrassed so we tried to enjoy our evening my daughter eat some but had to leave it as gammon fatty my son in law couldn’t eat it so 2 plates were left full of food For saying the size that showed how bad it was the girl saw the full plates and apologised and said a refund would be sorted how ever the supposed manager came over and said oh you had eaten most of it all chips were left salad was left the gammon which was paper thin half was left due to fat he then started to say I need to see the chef to see what he says ? I asked is it the original chef as the food served tonight wasn’t what we have been served the past 6 years he said no it’s a new chef the manager tried to insinuate that my daughter had eaten most of the food but my daughter was polite and said for saying it was a small plate their was rather a lot left he continued to be a bit sharp but offered a refund after making us feel awful but arguing in a polite way . I have seen scams what people do as I have worked in the pub trade as a manager but his first mistake the girl who was collecting the plates should have got him so we could have shown him also saying we havnt had a complaint this year that was his second mistake as pubs and restaurants have been closed only reopening over a month ago third he had to ask his chef for advice ? Well what was supposed to be a nice night we left as we were leaving we looked at peoples plates hey ho their plates were full so our complaint must have worked they started to be tight with the food and realised they would have more complaints we were given a small menu what we wanted was not available but as we left we saw it was available manager needs to go on a customer course the owner is lovely and she would be shocked as I know customer service is her priority

I was hoping to stay at Greenacres for one night when passing through Skegness on a cycling trip. I called to check availability and was told that they only had space on Thursday 6th August. That’s perfect I said because that’s when I want to stay. They wouldn’t let me book however because they have a policy of having to stay for a minimum of two nights. So I asked about booking for two nights but they said that they only have availability for one night! I might usually have lost my temper at this point but I must admit that I was so bemused that I just had to laugh. Well done Greenacres, your total incompetence has really made my day.

Not impressed at all ! I am constantly switching electricity back on after it trips - I am on my own and can’t even have the alarm set to feel safe. More than one electrical item at all results switch fusing and everything going off ! Toilets are very cold due to door being open either side for entry and very little privacy can be sought. Lots of tents all using bathrooms as less facilities than a caravan (there was a block of 3 toilets to share between probably 20 pitches !) the shop/reception was constantly shut. U have to ring ‘Jim’ for help - is who never bloody answers - my suggestion would be -DON’T BOTHER - find somewhere that’s manned regularly and allows electricity that u have paid approx £5 a night for !
