I hired this house for a week to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was a party weekend with friends followed by family coming up during the week. We had children from 9 year up to aunties of 80+ years and everyone enjoyed it. The house itself is a beautiful old style country house and had a great homely feel about...

We have just spent a heavenly week at Berryburn House. It is a hidden haven set among beautiful farmland that you look out onto from many of the rooms. Big beautiful pots of pansies stand either side of the entrance. It looked very impressive in the photos but as you go up the sweeping drive it is even more beautiful...

Berryburn is no longer a B and B but is a self catering large house. Unlike previous reviewers experiences we had an endless supply of coal and logs and enjoyed evenings round the fireplace. The kids enjoyed the space both in the house and the grounds. It does not advertise itself as a modern house, so do not expect that,...

We were a party of 10 who stayed here self catering. We arrived to a cold house with no fires set, little kindling and 3 matches although plenty of logs and coal. It is all rather tired - marks on the dining room wall, cheap carpets, no cover on our duvet, no cafetiere as previously stated. No side tables in...

We rented the entire house for a long weekend for a hen party weekend. We were self-catering although I think there are catering options if you ask. There was ample space in the large double- aspect, dining room for 12 of us to sit down for meals and large meals were easily prepared in the kitchen. All of the beds...

This review is long long overdue and we should have written it last year. We stayed at this wonderful bed and breakfast for our wedding, staying both the night before and the night after our wedding at Gretna Green. This location is absolutely perfect, private and away from the small town, but only a short drive away. It is a...

Myself and my wife stayed at the Berryburn whilst attending a wedding. We booked the Blackwatch suite as the photographs on the website looked very good. We were very pleased to find that the images we looked at were very accurate and not misleading as can often be the case. The room had a beautiful four poster bed, a small...

We first stayed at the Berryburn in October 2006 when we were looking for accommodation for a family wedding taking place in June 2007. We instantly fell in love with the house and the owners Flo & Paul and had no hesitation in immediately booking our stay for June 2007. As per our previous visit we were treated as very...

This is a great B&B - far better quality than any of the hotels in Gretna. Flo & Paul are amazing hosts and the rooms are nicely decorated and clean, with big modern bathrooms. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Real value for money.

We only stayed one night but will return. One of the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Far superior in quality to some of the larger hotels. Luxurious and tastefully furnished with beautiful country views, log fires, 7foot four poster bed with setee, chairs and mahogony furniture, with good food and excellent hospitality from the proprietors who could not do...
