Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Positives - Great location to explore Robin Hoods Bay Good general store nearby Negatives - Dated toilet block with 5 minute max shower time ( not long enough for a lady who needs to wash hair, condition hair, wash off conditioner and then shower, I ended up having to go into the next shower cubicle to finish showering ). Also there was a list of strict rules passed over to us on arrival, one of which related to guests keeping the noise down, however we were woken up early one morning by a really noisy tractor working on the field right next to where we were parked. No great views from the site as it is surrounded by houses. Having looked through the reviews I think it would greatly help the owner if he took on board some of the "constructive" feedback given by his guests - instead of replying with rude comments. The feedback is given for everyones benefit so please dont be so defensive.

Just for your information, we are about to start a refurbishment of the Toilet Facilities. Were the facilities clean ? YES they are ! Is there always HOT water ? ....YES there is ! You can never suit all the people , all of the time. The Rules are there for guests to adhere to, so as not to upset other guests ! As regards a tractor running at early morning, this is absolute rubbish, as we are mind-full of our guests, unless you refer to after 9am as early morning ! As regards to "surrounded by houses" is yet another absolute LIE ! Just look at our aerial photos to prove this !!! I do not mind constructive feedback, but I do object to Lies !

Spent Christmas week here in our motorhome. Although we had near gales the whole time the site itself was fine. Good facilities although there were only a few units onsite - it might be much more congested at peak times. There are good local services, pub, shops, easy walk to Robin Hoods Bay and bus service to Scarborough and Whitby. The Cinder Track Scarborough to Whitby walking, cycling trail runs near the site. Only minor niggle: the outdoor dishwasher area was very exposed, a wind shield would help.

Great 4 day break last week in a dog friendly static. The caravan was modern, well equipped, clean and lovely and warm despite the cold weather. The lady who checked us in was polite and friendly. The site was very quiet which is perfect for us. Ideally placed for coastal walks or along the cinder path.

Each to their own of course, but not my type of site. Depressing views onto ugly houses. Very unfriendly staff. If the staff had been more pleasant we’d have stayed, but left as soon as we could and felt instantly happier !

Our first trip out in our motorhome and we couldn't have picked a better site! A very warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Being new to the motorhome life, we made a few silly mistakes but the staff were fantastic and more than happy to help us overcome them and went above and beyond. Location wise, it's a lovely walk into robin hoods bay or boggle hole and then back on the beach. We will definitely be back! (Unless we're blacklisted for being pests in reception) 😁

Had a great stay in one of the glamping pods with my dog. The pods are very comfortable, bed is great, and huge so i will be missing it when I get home. The park is well kept, toilets and showers are very clean and the water is hot and has good pressure. It's a 10-15 minute walk to Robins hood bay and the walk either through farmland, or the cinder path is very nice and scenic. I would definitely return and recommend!

We booked to stay here in January. Reading the reviews we were really looking forward to staying here. The pitch we were given was right out in the field surrounded by flies so could not have the motorhome door open at all when in our motorhome. Asked for a pitch move and were told no. Enough said. We moved on to Whitby and stayed at a fabulous site 0.8 mile away from the centre. Fabulous end to our holiday. So glad we only stayed overnight at Middlewood Farm. Shame because the village and surroundings are very pretty. Not for us this site!
