If you're looking for five star luxury you will be disappointed. But if you are looking for excellent value for money in a traditional Austrian hotel with a friendly atmosphere the Kirchenwirt is just the place. We stayed for one ski week. The main lift is only five minutes walk through a mainly pedestrian area. Our rooms were pleasant and... More

Just back from a 'Fabulous' Ski Holiday in Schladming. The well located hotel on the main square was perfectly placed. my son and I had a twin room on the front, 2nd floor, and it was a proper twin not an 'Austrian' twin which was perfect. From Christina on reception to Danniella at breakfast & dinner, we were looked after... More

We stayed here whilst on a recent ski holiday. It's a traditional hotel, some of the furnishings are a little tired but for me it added to the charm. Note, in common with a lot of traditional Austrian hotels there's no lift but think about the climb to the 3rd floor every day as part of your ski fitness training... More

This is the first time I have visited this hotel and it certainly won't be the last. Hotel room and bathroom were spotless and the view from the room up to the ski slopes was truley breathtaking. Continental breakfast was fine and a 3 course evening meal with plenty of choice was enjoyed every night of our stay. Easy walking... More

Historic building with spacious rooms equipped with wonderful old furniture while having all modern conveniences. Full of character and warmth just like the staff who work well as a team and attentive to guests requirements. We were a group of 8 and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and great food. Restaurant often full with many non-guests. The Stuberl is another... More

Stayed here last year so booked again for this year and was not disappointed. Fantastically ran hotel, friendly staff, great atmosphere and good food. Stayed with 2 other guys who both loved it too. Clean rooms and ample space for the 3 of us. Breakfast is continental and plentiful. Evening meals were brilliant and service was quick. Highly recommend this... More

The staff were excellent, my son who is a vegetarian was well catered for - we even got to discuss our Christmas meal with the chef! The location is excellent with everything easily within walking distance. A big thank you to everyone there for making our Christmas so nice. See you again.

We ate here a few times during our stay and have mixed feelings...whilst the food tasyes good, iys not presented with any effort or elegance...and its a bit hard getting te waiters to actually give you the correct orders...how hard can orange and soda be...or a bottle of sparkling water. Tbe place is odd...very old and untidy and dusty...uncomfortable chairs... More

I was a sole traveler arriving on a flight from Newcastle. I was also the only person on the flight visiting Schladming. My transport from Salzburg to Schladming was direct. (1 Hour) I arrived much earlier than expected and found my room was not prepared, but that was quickly taken care of. My booking was for a small room with... More
